Re: Friday Conga Line PWYC
Home after workout and some small errands, specialty store, post office, car wash, and gas. I'm eating now, finally. I only had coffee with milk before workout - ran out of time to cook breakfast because I was lollygagging earlier. I'm feeling kind of off still and told them at workout - that's the genius of a good personal trainer, she had me do a lot of stretching, some cardio and strength but on the whole a light workout. But I feel better that I moved. The trainer I had today only works mornings so I don't see her much, but she did complement me on weight loss. Dh had her almost exclusively before the gym moved, but she's not coming in at 7 a.m. anymore.
I think when I'm done eating I need to s2s and go to the grocery store and drop off some things at donation place. I asked dh if he wanted to get groceries or take my car for the donation drop off and he didn't.
He's been to Costco and we're stocked on meat. He's gone now to wash his car.
I've done little of a.m. routine. Next up:
-s2s
-empty dishwasher
-finalize grocery list
-hang to dry stuff in washer
-clear/wipe kitchen counters
Then I guess I'll need to head out...

Next few:
ddoggo had her bath
dog's towels are ready to go in the dryer just heard the washer click off.
got my hair washed & mostly dry too.
swept the basement stairs & they could use more attn. I noticed.
Bread was good cheese San. for lunch.
Happy with my progress.
Walked.
Waving to all and have a great dance party!
LucyL. Some friends had robins make a nest on a large wreath by their patio doors it was fun to see.
But over a main access door would definitely be a pain. Can you move it?
My PC has ai in Chromebook I typed in pros and cons of counseling.
it said this" counseling offers potential benefits like improved communications, self awareness, and emotional regulations, but it also presents challenges such as time commitment, potential discomfort, and the possibility of a poor therapeutic relationship. "
I also asked for a list of herbs to plant now in my zine and got a good list of 6 - 7 to consider.

I thought you would enjoy this - mom has the sun butter jar upside down to see how fast it will get to the edge of jar - over her cloths - she says that she is experimenting - I am going to let her have fun. The joy she has in the little things!

Oh, (((Blessed))), I am so sorry dh had to return to the hospital so soon, and under such scary circumstances!
And LadyM (((hugs))) -- but it sounds like LordM is having a normal day after testing like that. Hope everything remains calm at your house.
Are the storms already showing up in your direction, LadyM? I think after midnight is going to be the beginning time for us, and just about all day tomorrow. We are already under a wind advisory, and I can hear it outside right now.
I'm supposed to take dgd to ball practice tonight (6:00 pm) and dgd is supposed to have two ballgames, but I don't know if those will happen. It's also prom night for our high school -- I don't know anyone graduating this year, I don't think; I'm just thinking about how glad their parents will all be to have them back home when the night is over.
So -- as y'all might expect -- after a busy evening yesterday, I've done nothing so far. I'm watching the SEC tournament on tv -- almost forgot about it until I was checking my email and say a pre-game message. I've eaten some breakfast but I'm still kinda hungry.
When this game is over, (less than a two minutes to play) I need to s2s and at least get my morning routine done.
LadyM -- how do you talk to AI? I wonder if I could use AI for therapy? Aside from the cost of therapy, I am sorta afraid of it -- dmom said it would probably make me nervous to go to therapy, and she's right. But there is so much in my head, I would kinda like to hear what an objective outsider would tell me -- of course, I have a whole village of objective outsiders right here!
And I do appreciate ALL of you sooo much.
Eleven seconds and AU is ahead by 5.
Final -- AU 62, Ole Miss 57.
It keeps running through my head that if dh were alive and well, we would be in Nashville today.
Texas and Tennessee are about to tip-off, Rose & Twins.
Nancy, you mentioned your basement stairs -- I need to check the back door -- I have a bird who is trying really hard to build right above my back door. I have an old CD hanging there to try to distract it, but I think it is doing no good. I wonder if I could get a small amount of those bird spikes at Tr*ctor Supply. I only need about 3 feet. Of course, it would be useful on the front porch, also.
I also need to go to the post office and the bank, and put gas in the Tahoe. (Y'all, I only have one vehicle. Sometimes I call it "the car" sometimes the "SUV," and sometimes the "Tahoe." It is a 2018 Tahoe.)
Mystery -- that technical writing sounds very complicated! I'm impressed.
Rose, (((HUGS))) -- my lower back and hips really bother me when I vacuum. I'm sure I should exercise more.
Twins, you've already had a busy day and I haven't even started yet.
Well, you've ALL already had busy days... and here I sit...

Heads Up SHEs!
In 'redecorating' to welcome our new members, the forums within the Cafe had been rearranged slightly and a new forum called Fun and Games has been created.
No forum has been removed, you will find Members only under PWYC and Fun and Games (both being daily forums), and below that J&C.
In other news, for the time being I've turned ON the ability for people to register so they can join the fun here.
What I don't exactly know is whether they can post immediately or just see the posts.
Sorry, most of this is trial by error for me. Between us, Harriet and I remembered why we had turned off new registrations in the first place.

Re: Friday Conga Line PWYC
((blessed)) Thank goodness he has gotten good care quickly and looks and feels better. I know it must have been such a difficult night. I hope he recuperates fully and you all get rest and feel relief today. Calm house!
And what was Harriet busy with today? (barely conga-ed and pouting, and yes, I emailed with Kathryn but couldn't even come here, so overwhelmed with workmen, filling toilet with water so we could flush, and keeping the children abreast of whether we needed help (or bathrooms), so Kathryn gets pats on her back)
We awakened this morning to NO water!
Whaaaat? (this is a remarkably inconvenient thing, and especially now, ya know) HRH needed the info on the company that installed our new-ish well, when we were planning to move in, 2021. Ohmigoodness! couldn't find it! And that name of the company... .. it was on the tip of our tongues... .. WHAT would we do?
In a jiffy, I just looked In my hero cardfile under "W" for well. TaDa, business card with dates.
He was so pleased, made the call super early, and caught the guys before they got started on the day so they could plan to work us in today, not tomorrow or later. Only 85 dollars (although HRH insisted on giving them more) and it's fixed. The pipe from the cut-off valve needed replacement and we were in time realizing it (whew) before anything electrical had been hurt by water damage.

Re: Friday Conga Line PWYC
Kathryn & Harriet - THANK YOU for the behind the scene work and adjusting the layout of our SHE village to accommodate everyone.
Wind vs 2 adults.
We won the battle, but it took all our strength to do it.
The back yard gate came unlatched and blown backward. DH and I teamed up with one of us on each side of the gate to push/pull it against the wind so it could be latched again. When we walk outside we hold onto the door with both hands and brace our legs. Wind can be powerful!
The sky is now more red than brown. We are the land of red clay dirt which is the exact color of the sky. It is just straight line wind. Thankfully there are no storms or tornadoes.

Re: Friday Conga Line PWYC
Our storms don't get here until tomorrow a.m., then there's a break and storms restart in the evening. It looks like that's when the potential for severe storms including tornados, starting around our bedtime.
I dropped of donations, took glass to recycle and got groceries. As I was just sitting down, dd called, so this is the first chance I've had to even relax.
I'm going to play with paper a little.

Re: Friday Conga Line PWYC
THANK YOU Kathryn and Harriet!! I have not heard yet if the onboarding members can post or not. I'll ask them.
It's a little strange because we never saw the announcement that the old board was shutting down, but aflyer did - as a mod, I guess. She copied and pasted it for us. I think Smile Lee also communicated with him about it, so it seems legit.
So glad you got your water fixed - and for such a good price too, Harriet. WTG on having the card handy!
Wow, that's some wind, LadyM. Stay safe!
Sometimes a person just needs a slower start to the day, lucylee.
I did enjoy reading how your mother is finding joy, blessed!
I hope your hips feel better, RRose.
I've been in therapy for almost 2 years; I'm being "weaned off" right now - just once every 2 months. It was really helpful at the beginning, a lot of stuff from my childhood had resurfaced after my dad's passing. It all kind of wound around my experience with the court trial and how I was thrust out of church friendships and community because of my testimony. Counseling was very crucial for a few months of my life; it was absolutely exhausting and also eye-opening and freeing. I think I cried every session for the first few months.
It's almost 6pm -- and I haven't gotten done what I'd wanted to get done, and I'm feeling a little frustrated. I got sidetracked by needing to update documents for therapy. They had emailed them to me in January -- and I'd forgotten to fill them out. I also paid the move in fees for my Mom; I'm moving her from her nursing home in Central Illinois to a nursing home in this city. And of course, I had my payroll class - prepped and taught that.
I didn't get the model essay done for the chapter of the writing curriculum I'm working on. I really need to do that; it's quite late. I'm going to work on that until dh comes home. Friday night so we'll go out to eat.
