What are you putting on the Fast Track around your household today?
Where is your efficiency really shining?
Is there something you're proving doesn't really take so long after all, making time for the things that make you smile?

Re: Friday on the Fast Track
Hoping everyone has a day that moves them forward!
My household will be humming with workmen installing a new HVAC system.
For the first part of the day, I'll be traveling off with dd26 to get appts done and out of the way, meeting new folks.
The noon hour sees us freed up, so we may grab some lunch together, within the guidelines I have.
Hopefully this afternoon I can be home and getting on the fast track around here, seeing the progress and even pitching in perhaps. There will be lots to accomplish around here, I'm sure.

Re: Friday on the Fast Track
Fast track sounds good for me today, I'll be busy with a houseguest and dinner guests and will need to kick myself into a higher gear. The last few days of researching have left me feeling fuzzy with genealogy facts and people that I've been sorting out, looking for patterns. If Richard hung out with Quakers/former Quakers, was he a Quaker? Many of the people he associated with were from Bucks Co. Pa or Philadelphia - where was he from? Sifting all those thoughts for patterns. Can't find him before 1749 in Va. Was he new to Virginia then?
Groceries to be delivered within minutes. Need to p/u lasagna this afternoon. Should start challah when? I think once the groceries are put away mostly I'll head upstairs to straighten guest bedroom and perhaps s2s that bathroom? Need another cup of coffee too.

Hi Harriet! Thank you for starting us off today!
I have to put away the clean dishes from the dishwasher.
Both litter boxes need to be cleaned.
Bathroom and kitchen garbage needs to go out.
Small compost bin in kitchen needs to be emptied.
Darn, I was thinking I didn't have anything to do today other than grab some peanut butter for dh and go to the Fibre Friday afternoon group.
Seems dh also needs soda and I need more hot chocolate.
I also have to make chili for supper.

Re: Friday on the Fast Track
Twins… all my mom’s family are from Bucks Co and Philly. My g-parents and William Penn’s were the same. His mom and my direct ancestor’s mom were sisters. My direct ancestor, Silas Crispin, and Williams were first cousins and surveyed the land given to Williams dad, admiral Penn from King Charles. William named the land.. Pennsylvania.. meaning Penn’s Wood, and Silas Crispin and his FIL…Holems… designed and laid out what is now know as Old Philadelphia where the Libery Bell is.
Researching people who lived in PA can be challenging, especially in Bucks and Philadelphia Co because from 1850 Philadelphia annexed many of the small towns. PA does not have good records. I can’t get any brith, marriage and death certificate dated before 1906 cause the state doesn’t have them. You have to go to churches for records and they are hard to find…ask me how I know
Ancestry and Family Search have been a great help in verifying much of my information.
Been to class, home for breakfast. I did everything I needed to do yesterday. At 10 last night while I was in bed I realized I had forgotten to cover my sunnies. The temps dropped to the low 40’s and left uncovered history has taught me critters around here find my sunnies a tasty midnight snack. Jumped out of bed, ran out of the house and quickly tucked them in and wished them a good night.
Plans for today…
Focus and declutter my lania
Tend to my sunnies
Help Sweetie with computer work
Remove dinningroom rug.. getting a new one tomorrow
Quick grocery run
Was going to plant my side garden but that will have to wait. Night time temps are expected to Hover around the low 40’s for the next few nights

Chili is made.
Compost and kitchen garbage are outside now.
Later... bathroom garbage is also out. Hmmm.... those litter boxes aren't going to clean themselves.

Re: Friday on the Fast Track
Our house guest is here. He and dh are going to the memorial service which is at one p.m. I've done a lot of the "must do" things. The challah is in bread maker and needs to be shaped in about 30 minutes. Most of a.m. routine done - hold out is kitchen island where I've been working and where ny laptop is sitting.
Also, DH's coworker is coming by this afternoon. When dh is gone, this guy will be working with houseguest/ client.
Still need to do:
water plants
refill meds containers
sentinel for dog
put away stuff on stairs that needs to go upstairs
check silverware for dishwasher spots

Re: Friday on the Fast Track
Good morning/good afternoon Harriet, Twins, RRose, Cathy and Nancy!
Hmm, I think I'm reasonably on track with the important things today, I was on time for both appointments (hair cut for me this morning and visiting C this afternoon and taking her her groceries), and since I've been home I've had extended lap time with both Jude and Matilda (separately!
). Supper is planned (battered cod fillets, oven chips and salad) and I am waiting for DH to finish work for the day so I can get into the spare room/ office so I can fold laundry and PA.
However, there is a reply to a "difficult" email that I've been putting off.
Maybe that is something I could do to ensure I stay on track? (Note to inner self, it doesn't matter that it's late on Friday afternoon and everyone has probably gone home. If I deal with it and send today, it will be there waiting ready to be read on Monday !)
