Good afternoon!

My next travels, in a few minutes, will be to take DD to work. After that, I should put in a little time on Mt. Dishmore. I am sorely missing having a dishwasher. If I miss even one night's dinner, the stack of dishes becomes disheartening.

Spent a little time on payroll this morning. Sent an email to the coworker who is handling this outline project right now letting her know I'd updated the outline based on what the artist told me and made sure the file was in a place she can access. I barely clocked half an hour. Looking forward to the upcoming assignment even though the schedule looks like I'll be inundated one week and have nothing the next. That should start next week.

DD delivered to work. That will continue happening once she gets her license unless she gets a car of her own. It is a round trip of about 10 minutes. If I let her take the car and ended up needing it, it would be a 25 minute walk that I am in no shape to do just to go get the car. She wants to take a session just about the state's maneuverability course before taking the exam; I need to remind her to register for that tomorrow. I also have to remember to let her do more of the driving. I would have had her do the drive to work yesterday, but it was raining, and I didn't want to have to get out of the car to switch drivers at the end. Today, I had no excuse except that I forgot.

Hoping lucylee's DGS's tummy issues are settled soon.

Making a grocery order here, when I have no appetite, lol. Only thing I'm sure I want is oranges - go figure. But we got a normal order, pretty much.
Hopeful. To be delivered tomorrow.

HRH did a load of laundry and didn't ask me a thing.

The mopping card was up, but HRH insisted he would do that. We learned that he has never put a wet swiffer cloth onto the handle before. Didn't know where the cloths were, didn't know how to open them so they would wrap securely. He thought there must be a sponge mop somewhere, and he just hadn't noticed it. He was remembering sponge mops we had 20 years ago. Although it is true that I sort of enjoy the repetitive motions of mopping - it's like mowing in that the "done" area moves satisfyingly along - I had no idea I'd kept it as a "me" chore.

I have been doing dishes after supper. I also cleaned the toilet.

Dishwasher got turned on earlier. I also had a shower.

I traveled  to dmom’s this afternoon — stayed a couple hours and have big ta-das:
— Cleaned out her refrigerator
— Washed dishes resulting from that
— Dried a load of towels and folded them
— Sorted a TON of mail and stacked if in chronological and alphabetical order
Also —
— Folded her laundry that I had done here at home
— Called her accountant to ask for extension on taxes
— Called her beautician to cancel next few weeks
— Called home health to update
— Went to bank to make another deposit for dmom
— Went to my bank
— Talked to dcousin
— Talked to ddil, ds, and dgs — who was feeling better… until after supper, when he started throwing up again. New meds, ddil has asked for referral to GI doctor, I think.

Tomorrow, meeting with care team at rehab.
Tomorrow is another day.

Wow lucylee that is productive. A lot of work to manage another household too. How old is your grandson? I hope they can find some answers asap. That's so hard. Obviously not just a flu bug? I think?

Harriet that is hard too buying groceries with no appetite. Yes there are the odd things that we forget we have just always done no need for dh to know how. Until you can't and then they have to learn.

I had a normal day for once. Productive day at work and enjoyed the sun walking Casper after work. I think it is good for me that I have to walk him. He kinda demands it if I don't right away. Exercise and fresh air is good for the soul. Ds started supper and I finished it. Then ds 26 called just when I brought Casper in. Dgs 6 weeks was crying inthe background. Casper was looking around trying to figure where the baby was. So cute.

Only thing I did for dad today was pick up some batteries for him at work. They can wait till I go there again. Not making a trip when he had help with supper etc today. I'm really hoping the constant care is going to be less soon. He should be able to manage life with occasional help again within a couple weeks I hope.
