Morning all. Oohh happy birthday frenchie. 🎂 I hope you can do something special. I know you don't want to but you should you deserve it. I hope you can sort out how you feel. I completely get it. I think I kinda got wiped with that too.

Kittykat I wish the garden was calling me. I don't know what to do with mine this year. I think I'm going to move the greenhouse off the garden. I'm afraid if I start something I won't have time for it. It's barely productive and I don't know how to fix it. Steal the excess soil for flower beds?

Trissie I totally get the pants thing for boys. Ds wears a 28 waist. I think I have to go up to 32 long next time. He's got the longest legs of all of us. I actually did very well and ordered everything hes got online. Old navy worked well for us. I think they probably make a 26 waist as well. The transition between kidsize and men's is a hard one. Especially in my small town.

Morning lann. How was the trip yesterday?

Well now I am here first thing. We stayed in bed a little longer. Both of us are off today and I am hoping I don't have to run to dad's but something tells me I will have to at some point. Today needs to be painting day. So many things that need attention and I have dh home. Today is mine as much as possible.

Priority list

Basic routines
Kitchen clean
Prime ceiling and red walls
Dh wash my car and make sure the sound I'm hearing is imagined?
Ds help Defrost freezer?
Grocery shopping

Too many big projects but dh said he wanted to do those so we'll see.

Today's tada list

Finish qt
Shower
S&s both baths
Take sheets off bed for wash and start a load

Quick first coat primer
Find breakfast
Finish tidying kitchen all the way

Good morning /good afternoon, afternoon, Trissie, L.Ann and Laura!

A BBQ sounds lovely, Trissie, even if the gas was running low. My patio furniture consists of a metal 2 seater bistro set, so I can easily throw a cover over it if it looks like rain/frost overnight , and I can carry it up and down to the garage each spring and autumn.

I think you deserve a slower day today, L.Ann, after all the driving yesterday.

I hope you can get your painting done today, Laura. Could you just maybe have a few pots with flowers near the house this year? That way, you would get to see and enjoy them, but they wouldn't be overwhelming to tend.

I'm having a late lunch in my garden - I was a bit delayed getting out here as I went off-list and cut kitty nails, gave everyone a good brush, did everyone 's flea control, and gave Jude and Matilda their no Laxapet. So it made sense to hoover after this to pick all the fur on up!

Ive done a little in my front garden, had a long chat with Dnextdoorneighbour C, and we both "interviewed (maybe "interrogated " would be a better word?!) one of the candidates for the upcoming county council elections.

I really, really need to make a move soon and do something productive in my back garden, but it's just nice sitting here and enjoying the sun and blue sky. It's 21 C again, with just a gentle breeze, so very pleasant. :D

HAPPY BIRTHDAY FFB! 🎉 I'm SO happy you pop in on the weekends. I hope the pills do help you. Menopause can be difficult for some women, but I'm glad you have a Dr. you can talk to about it. I never really got the hot flashes, though my temp now runs slightly higher now than before - but since I was always cold before, I consider that an advantage. LOL! All in all, I have gone through menopause fairly easily, just needed (and still need) a little estrogen cream to keep comfortable - and sorry if tmi. But SO helpful.
You have nicer weather than we do, Kitty and I can totally see you sitting in your back garden. I don't know whether to laugh or rage at the "street fixing" in your neighborhood. It sounds frustrating. Thank you for a cheerful musical start! That was one of dh's favorite songs growing up; he was very much into ABBA.
Gma, I hope writing things down for the meeting will help you express your thoughts well. But ugh on church issues. . . I'm so done with those.
trissie, I'm having a slow morning too. It's a gray drizzly Saturday here. You, especially, deserve a couple of those a week. Could you have a slow morning tomorrow as well? --I bet you're going to say "no". :)
I need to get some things from Target, L Ann. Hmm... an order might be really convenient.
We're cheering you on with the painting today, Lauralind!

I didn't get back here yesterday. After payroll, I ended up bringing a meal to AC and her dh, my supervisor whose mother's cancer has returned. I packaged up the leftover chicken curry, roasted some more cauliflower, and bought some naan bread and desserts. She lives about 20 minutes away from me, so it was a bit of a trip. I sat on her front step and chatted with her. In the evening, dh and I went out for sushi, and then dd26 and Fable came over to say "hi" and practice going down stairs. Dd26 wants to teach Fable to do this, and she really isn't very keen on it. I don't remember our dogs having an issue with this. Funny. . . . Dh and I were SO tired last night; dh went to bed at 9 after falling asleep on the sofa and I went to bed at 9:30 and did a puzzle until 10. I woke up at 7:30 - and finished the puzzle.

Today, I'm off to a late start. I opted not to jog in the drizzle but might get out there later as today will be warmer than tomorrow. We are hosting CG1 tonight, so prepping for that will be the focus of the day - a lot of house spiffing, which will be good. CG1 will be smaller than usual; there's a youth retreat so many of the teens will be gone. I think we're expecting 10 adults and 5 kids.

helia, well I could skip church and sleep in, but I try to go the first Sunday of the month as otherwise the "I need some more sleep" excuse will result in me not going ever. I could, however, argue that going on Palm Sunday would be better, but we all know how that goes :-) How old is Fable now?
kittykatt, we have a wooden patio set that seats 10-12 people, so it's not exactly easy to cover :-)
lauralind, yeah, DS is too short and too skinny for men's sizes and too tall for most kid brands. It's much easier with girls, they grow into women's sizes quickly, plus more brands catter to teenage girl clothes and styles!

Happy Birthday FFB! Enjoy your day ☺️
Apparently Mom has been taking Tylenol enough to mask fever. But yesterday she had temp 100.7, so I took her to Emergency Room. First to large hospital in city where her NH is. They were in "surge mode" had 39 patients on the board being treated, plus 10 waiting, and more came in after we arrived.
We left and drove to small hospital in town where I live, and were seen right away. She's now admitted to hospital with bladder infection. That explains her extreme agitation and confusion.
I was up for 24 hours, so even after sleeping for 6, I'm tired. I should get out of bed, eat some breakfast and go see how she's doing.

Pick up orders are the way to go at Target, helian. You can get what you need and not be tempted by the gazillion things you don’t need. I do almost all my Target orders as a pick up. I can add Starbucks to it when I say I am coming to pick up so it is a win win! DD32’s appointment went really well, Laura.
