Why is today FAB? because we make it so! With out thoughts, our actions, our tasks, our hobbies, our plans, our dreams! It's going to be a fab day here in our little village!

Stroll over out to the Garden, or the Kitchen or Arts and Crafts, or ponder on Health and Fitness and get some movement in. Do some Decluttering, or try out Fun and Games.

My day is fab because I have only the rescheduled Zoom meeting for today - and tonight it's temple and baby naming for our faux grandchild and dinner out after. The faux grandchild is Z - ds's friend who spent so much time at our house growing up. He was good friend to both kids - all three the same age of course, but ds and Z probably talk weekly still.

I might go to the plant nursery this afternoon if I can be dragged away from genealogy. It's time for my tomato plant and I want a fern. I always have a big fern on the front porch, and early in the year I hang one in the back by my raised beds. The sun is too fierce later in the year. OTOH, I want to work on genealogy!

I got up late and ddog is anxious for her walk so I need to change and take her before anything else. Dh isn't working on Fridays anymore, he came through and is going to Costco.

Thanks for the start on this Fab Friday Twins' Mom!

I was up extremely early (5:20) because there was a cat crying outside. I turned on the patio light, but I couldn't see it. Our 3 cats were on high alert with all 3 in different windows. The front, the driveway and the back were being watched! I tried to get back to sleep, but I was up before 6.

I have been doing wet jobs today. I watered all the inside plants. I cleaned the toilet. I also did both litter boxes. I emptied the dishwasher and refilled it. I have been washing pots and pans and large utensils/sharp knives. I am also putting clean laundry away. Three items out of the six are hung up. The other three things are waiting for me on the dryer door. I'm going to go do that right now.

Later...

Bed is made. The other three tops have been hung up/put away.

We are about ready to head out. HRH thinks we should move our time up a little because we have never gone to this building before. The last building at this hospital complex we went to was extremely confusing.

The eating restrictions and an up-and-down night have made my stomach upset. Hopefully, it won't be such a hard day. I should be able to eat by about 2:30. He says whatever I think sounds appetizing on the way home, he'll pick up.

Need to gather water bottle, banana, maybe a few other things for snack as soon as permitted.

I am up one hour later today so that is fab. for me.
Not feeling the best however a bit of tummy issue so not going anywhere at least for a bit.
I can do the slipper shuffle to round up laundry that needs attn.
Had a great QT & read a section in my new current book.
Last night had a great talk with dd. That was fabulous as well.

I haven’t actually gotten out of bed yet but I have
* scheduled dmom appt with shoulder doctor
* scheduled dmom appt with garage door people
* tried to (re)schedule dmom appt with eye doctor — he is closed on Fridays

To do —
— finish laundry
— get oil changed and fill up dmom’s car

First, I should s2s, right?
I’m so relieved to have a day with no real obligations, so I’m kinda taking advantage of it.

Tomorrow will be one year since dh passed away, but since it was on a Friday, it feels like today is the anniversary. I’m still just kinda in disbelief that it has been a year, and I’m still functioning. I’m not especially productive with my time, but I never have been, really.

i am enjoying my day doing normal things. I like being able to do them to completion and then choosing what to turn my focus to next.

Replacing ranges in the kitchen seems to be something that has happened several times in the SHE village recently. Who has replaced their kitchen stove in the past year? Am I remembering right that Twins (kitchen rehab), Mystery, RR and Nancy and ??? has replaced their stove? I have needed to replace my kitchen stove for months but haven't made it a priority to give my focus to. The top of the stove works so I have modified my cooking methods to use other appliances instead of the oven. ANYway, I think today is the day that I am going stove shopping. Considering that I love technology, I am oddly opposed to having a stove with technology and want the bare basics electronics. I want to see the stoves in person, noting the features that are important to me and get a feel for the stove knobs & moving parts to make sure it has all the options I want. then I will probably order it online to be delivered here. I realized that most people make this decision in about 2.6 minutes, but I seem to make it into a big deal and drag it out seeking the perfect decision. >>>>shaking my head at myself and acknowledging that I am making it more complicated than needed<<<

LM I agree the electronics part is what broke on mine.
I got one with knobs and no self cleaning because I did not use it.
I did get a window in the oven.
I am afraid to throw the breaker back on to use the burners now.
How ever I probably could use that.
The newer ones have a delay heat up safety feature on coil burners when heating up.
I got white b/c I do not like stainless they are harder to clean I've heard and
dd confirmed that as she has done cleaning.
I am glad you can order one to be delivered.
It is a good time to do it before Easter.

Stove has been ordered and will be delivered here (free) on April 19th. Hum....the timing could be interesting with cooking Easter meal. Ohsss well.

After stove shopping I found a pet store to get some goldfish. I am adding goldfish to an antique water tank in the garden. I have no clue if this will all work okay but I am enjoying the process of discovery and learning.

I try not to bore everyone by sharing DS16 constant projects. This week he has brought home a dirt bike, a 4 wheeler and now a 1960ish pickup. Normally the things DS16 brings home to tinker with don't interest me but I do love this old pickup. He plans to wet sand it (whatever that means). The motor and interior has been rebuilt/restored. I find it interesting that from the outside it looks like a rusted pile of junk until you get inside it and hear it purr.
