TA DAs:
* Paid yard man, who has left but who BETTER BE RETURNING -- he has not finished the weed eating
* Church service, loved hearing a former student sing a solo for special music, stayed for lunch, enjoyed talking with lady who did my hair all through high school and early years of marriage, met two other ladies from her church
* home, vacuumed 30 minutes (so far)
* laundry, second load still in washer, first load is two loads now waiting to be hung to dry
* talked to ds/ddil/dgs -- gastroenterologist is pleased with medication dgs is on, changed the strength of one and suggested changing other to liquid, but does not want to do any "invasive" testing at this time. All were very pleased with the doctor, who made friends with dgs immediately by giving him a "trick" math problem that dgs quickly solved. * HOWEVER * DGS started throwing up on the way home. I am thinking perhaps SQUID and OCTOPUS did not set well on his stomach??? That was what he wanted. They ate at fancy restaurant in Big City. He said it was good and brought home his leftovers... but ugh... squid and octopus???

DGD will be here soon -- I am taking her to her game tonight, ds will take dgs, and if ddil recovers from her headache, she will try to watch both games. The children are playing at the same park on opposite fields.

I am trying very hard to get a lot done this week. Bug lady comes Friday and there is still dust all over the study and the bathroom from the repair work. I'd like to have that cleaned up before she arrives. Church service every day at noon (M-Th)... I have to help with meal W & Th, bringing Mother home from rehab tomorrow... Friday night church service... kids' ballgames M, Tu, Th... and kid coming in the door right now!
I'm not complaining -- it's good that I am busy. This is a hard week, and the church services are hard, because last year, dh and I attended every Holy Week service and he wanted to stay for lunch every day. That was VERY unusual, but he seemed to enjoy it. Easter was the last Sunday he attended. He got sick on Wed. night following Easter, and the following Sunday he went to urgent care, Wed. to family doctor, and Friday he passed away. But I am enjoying the services, and I am glad I am going.
Two ladies invited me to the sewing circle they have on Tuesdays at our church... but I don't know about that. They start at 10:00... shaking my head... I don't like to "do" mornings. LOL. (Today I forgot to set my alarm and didn't wake up till after 11:00 -- of course, I had already been up at 6:45 to get dgd to school, then went back to bed. Next Monday, I have to take dmom to the eye doctor in Next Town and her appt is at 10:00.
Tomorrow is another day.

Lucy:L. is your Dgson allergic to seafood?
I agree Easter is hard and it just hit me this morning while shopping.
LH bday was always on or around this time of year; plus all the Easter stuff we did as family when kifoos were young.

I zonked after a rather large take out lunch.
I'm glad I got so much done yesterday today not so much.
I did knit a few rows today.
It is nice to walk around and see my flowers.

The nap really did help so that is good to know.
It's warmer tomorrow we are supposed to have winds.
I did not mow in front they hide eggs next door in the tall not edges on the property lines I"ll
do that later maybe Mon.

I've been upstairs working on genealogy but not what I planned to do. I finally emailed the lady back about the Greene County family she had asked about, and then went off on a tangent correcting a record online at FamilySearch. I untangled two different men named Francis Marion Walker, lol. Perhaps people confuse IL and IN? Born in different places, and never lived in the same place either.

I have another quiet day tomorrow with time for genealogy but I also need to gear up on house clean up a bit - house guests here on Friday afternoon.

Ta da! Taxes finished and filed!
Ta da! Online corrections, learned more about distant cousins.
Ta da! Helped someone out with their research.

Good enough.

mom fractured her pelvis and looked like she was having a stroke - that subsided - probably another tia but that's not what made her fall on her side - she lost her balance.

she is in a lot of pain.
it is always a joy to be here with you!

((((Blessed & DMom))) I'm sorry your DMom is having to go through this. Do they have surgery scheduled?

I spent some time in the garden which always relaxes me. The wind finally calmed down enough to burn the load of wood that had been waiting in the firepit.

DD13 is thrilled that she will design the cover of a book that her class is publishing. She loves to draw and be creative. I'm enjoying watching her tackle the project with glee.

Bw2 oh no! Thinking about you and dmom. Is she home? Pain meds? I’m so very sorry to hear.

Oh, (((Blessed))) -- I am so sorry this happened to your dmom! Praying for good pain meds and full recovery. Is she in the hospital now?

Nancy -- dgs has always eaten seafood with no problems at all... but I just keep thinking squid and octopus sounds a little "out there," you know? DGS and DS are the type that will try anything once. They did NOT get this from me -- and dh was a little more "cautious" than they are.
BUT -- dgs recovered nicely, went to his ballgame, got on base twice and scored twice! One of his best nights on the ballfield.
DGD also scored once in her game and would have scored a second time but the referees were watching the time limit VERY closely and she got left on third base when they called time with only two outs for our team. (We shouldn't have even been playing that half of the inning; we were winning and we were the home team, so everyone should have realized time was going to run out before we could complete our half.)
Tomorrow is another day.
