We were hoping you would find us. We've found a really welcoming new home here. Runs very similar just a few more friends. They said the other forum was going down but so far it's still there. So the rest can find us here.
Long day again. I'm time but I might yet go walk with Casper after we eat. I was too tired to do it right after work.
I think I'll just make a busy day tomorrow. Actually the only thing that is required is to get dd room ready. The other one almost is. And do some cleaning at mom and dad's again

My father was a PhD professor of American history and political science (I always wondered, and continue to do so, why it is called science! ) so I got lots of education at the dinner table! My grandson just graduated from high school and is enrolled at University now, studying (Civil) Engineering. In his last year of HS he took a PoliSci class that was supposedly advanced enough to give him college credit. I think he has basic knowledge of how government works, and he voted for the first time in the past election, but I would have hoped he would have learned more. When I was in HS, we had the basics of government in a class called Civics, we had American history, and there was also world history of which I have very little recollection. I think the majority of people pay very little attention to government unless something impacts their personal lives negatively. During election seasons, I frequently ask clerks at the store if they are going to vote. Even tho we live in a college town (private college, highly ranked, 2200 students), and the neighboring city is home to a state university (15,000), a community college (2600), and a for-profit college (500), I am amazed at the people with whom I speak that know neither who is running, nor what they stand for, nor what the issues are. So they don't vote.
I'm tired, have had a full day, with ddog at vet early, then back to pick her up; visited mother in the morning; prepared a wonderful meatloaf mashed potatoes and asparagus meal for dbro when he arrived. I told him it feels like the white knight has arrived to rescue the damsel in distress!
Tomorrow we take mother to the haridresser for a cut and perm. And hope to get a few things done before we go to pick her up. I think that weight bearing limitation is helping my foot. But I can't go any distance without the crutches. And it feels good to rest my knee on the scooter or chair with pillow when I am standing, cooking in the kitchen.
