At home for me πŸ˜€
Laxapet for Jude and Matilda
9 pm Final touches to Waitrose order
Thursday: DH to office
10.30 am church
12.00 parish lunch
Any errands?
Pick up Matilda's Laxapet (paid for!) and Fred's food (not paid for!) from vet
Garden centre with DF PM?
Hoover car? ( Weather permitting!)
Bring blue crates up from garage (delegate this to DH)
6-7 pm Waitrose delivery
Laxapet -Jude and Matilda ( if we didn't do it yesterday)
Friday DH: WFH
10 am - hair cut -me
Saturday:
*Text DF E re coffee tomorrow*
Sunday: church 9.30 am
Coffee with DF E ?
Laxapet Jude and Matilda

Future dates to note:

Outstanding deliveries:

Extras:
Email TπŸ˜€
Write a list of things I need from Lakeland (click and collect? Or just call in shop?)
Put scatter cushions and chair backs / arm rests back in place
Digital decluttering- Google Photos for 2024 and 2025
Write upcoming appointments on kitchen calendar and in my filofax
Email Hobbies re my dolls houseπŸ˜€ - had a lovely reply - they're 99% sure it isn't one of theirs . I need to reply with a "thank you"πŸ˜€
Pick up my footprints! (Thank you, RRose!) πŸ˜€
House tasks: clean gutters and the swan neck on the downpipes where "stuff" tends to accumulate, clean cladding back and front and downpipes, and short return wall as well. Replace the bit of mortar that's fallen out of the edge of the roof (I think its called the verge?) , fix dripping kitchen tap ( new washer?), sort out cabinet that wobbles, fix garage guttering that's loose at one end and bending down. More as I think of them? Texted 10/3πŸ˜€ and 14/4πŸ˜€
If no reply by the end of the month, then definitely look for someone else (DF PM is also starting to become exasperated with his reluctance)
Steps to take to find a replacement: ask friends, look on local sources eg Nextdoor for recommendations
I may have to split the jobs between different people this year if I can't find someone who's good at a variety of skills, so:
For gutter cleaning, Dneighbours R and A used Ben's gutters -are they pleased with the work? Does BG also clean cladding? Do they have a website? Yes πŸ˜€
Also The E Gutter Cleaners -they have good reviewsπŸ˜€
Prepare my "job spec" WIP
Fill in free quote forms for both the above companies
Wait and see the results!
Kitchen tap - DF E has given me the phone number if her plumber . I think DF CW also has a plumber she is happy with?
Garage gutter - probably a handyman needed here - Text /message a few likely candidates and see what happens. Does Dneighbour R2 do handyman type jobs? I know he's done work for Dneighbour R in the past, but that was larger jobs, like laying a path!
Pick a new podiatrist from my "short list"
Book an appointment !
Take up and hem those thick winter curtains for the kitchen
Book eye test for me
Find picture hanging equipment for DH
Sort prints and put in albums (this will probably be an activity to do on wet days!) WIP I am now working on 2024
Think about setting up Guardianship for F,J and M - looked on Cats' Protection, I need their microchip numbers, approximate DOB, colour and markings and useful information about them. Bookmark link with local recommended solicitors (also ask DF CW?)
Change health centres to the one nearest us? On hold ATM , but I'll leave it on my list so I don't forget.

Wow. Well that is frustrating. I wrote a big post and was almost ready to do my list. Put it down for a minute and it's gone. I guess I should use the save draft... I can't retype it. Can't even remember it all.

Kids are back home after nice weekend having them all in the same place for a few days. Project stuff is done to the point of putting it all back together. I have bible study this morning and am playing it by ear see if ds is going to school. He had a mishap yesterday. I don't get it why it happens so often but ball in the face on the court after school. Glasses broken and they cut his cheek on impact. He didn't call but waited for me to be done work. Of course I was later shift cause I let dd and dsil leave before going. He was angry and sore and I got no detail out of him yesterday. He's not up yet so I will see how it is if he's going to school. Ohh there he is πŸ˜†.

Today's plan? Take some slow down time. A little rearrange of stash and fixing details room by room. Maybe stay some raking outdoors. Clean up Casper territory.

Priority list

Basic routines
Catch up laundry
Organize kitchen from stash
Room by room straighten
Bible study
Deal with ds shoe order

Today's tada list

Oatmeal for ds and me
Shower
S&s both baths and reboot laundry
Put away some laundry

Tidy laundry room some
School run

Done

Kittykat I hope you feel better today and rest some if you need it. And hopefully Freddie is back to himself too.

Helian that makes me happy you can be more involved with your mom. And delete those regular 6 hr drives. Things seem to be settling nicely.

Ds seems to be ok. I'm just going to aim for school run as usual and he will likely go. πŸ™‚

Waving to kittykatt, gma, helian, lauralind and L.Ann!
kittykatt, April marks the fourth month after the end of financial year when a lot of mandatory reports are due, plus I have other internal deadlines.
I am finally home from work - once again did not leave till 4pm (I am officially scheduled to work till 2pm), but I sent off the contracts I was not able to finish yesterday and made really good progress on another thing that's due tomorrow. I will not be able to finish the report that "I" should be giving to the board next week, but I have already informed them that it will be circulated by email later due to other priorities. This is the first time in four years I have failed to provide something in time - I don't feel great about it, but of all the things I was working on this month, that was the only one without an external regulatory deadline.
DH has an office party to attend tonight, AGAIN! He has one like every three months at least, it seems. And Wednesdays are not good days for him to not be home, when somebody needs to pick up DS from his scout session at 7:30pm. Can't do carpooling, as none of his group's members are from our village :-(

Oh well, sitting on my butt will not get things done (though I needed to at least eat a toast to get my blood sugar back to normal levels), so off I go!

TaDas
- morning madness
- everybody everywhere pretty much on time
- very productive day at work
- pick up DBD
- round of talks with kids
- convinced DS to leave on time to make his scout meeting
- morning routine
- load of darks sorted and running

ToDos
- midday routine
- clean kitchen
- start dinner

Ughh.. ds got all the way to school and decided he was much too tired. I think it's cause of growth spurt and his emotional evening last night. That always throws me off and feels groggy and eyes don't want to stay open. He says it never sets him behind causes he doesn't miss much in one dsy. Always has extra time at the end of class. If this ds can be done stuff ahead they certainly are not teaching enough... πŸ˜‘

I was putting kitchen towels away and had a brain wave. My flat drawer is losing towels behind because it's too full. I don't even have that many too much. What if I use the flat drawer for lids and the deep one for towels??

Priority list

Basic routines
Catch up laundry
Organize kitchen from stash
Room by room straighten
Bible study
Deal with ds shoe order

Today's tada list

Empty and reload dw
Finish tidying kitchen all the way
Wipe counters and table etc
Declutter containers lids towels Reorganize drawers
Being picked up for bible study after 10

Oatmeal for ds and me
Shower
S&s both baths and reboot laundry
Put away some laundry

Tidy laundry room some
School run
And back cause he wouldn't stay
