Waving to Lucylee! WTG on getting an early start!

Lauralind, I think I have moved you to member status so you can see the "Member only" forums. I think we typically do this after 50 posts or so, and I apologize for not doing to sooner. I'm going to check for others. Behind the curtains somewhere I thought we had explicit instructions but I can't find them, darn it. Anyway, please accept apologies and let me know if you can't see and I'll tinker some more, lol. (found directions, btw! and nothing has crashed here!)

Dcleaning lady did her magic. I'm upstairs, now have just a bit of time. I should clean up the stamping desk before we leave town, but we'll see. I also did a small instacart order for delivery, things we must have before leaving (milk and dog food.) Oh rats, I should get some candy/snacks for dog sitters.

I have workout at two, then I need to go by post office to ck HOA mail, and act on anything needed there. I think we have dneighbors coming over for drinks later, after dinner. I'll have to s2s after workout.

Love to see you here, Harriet, and glad you feel up to checking in.

Great workout as always but raining cats and dogs out. Flood advisory happening. Got to workout, post office and home. Ddog is still going to want to walk but I'm not going back out for awhile.

I purchased a new Kindle for beach reading. Here I usually read on the iPad at night, but the glare negates being able to do it outside. Old kindle was OLD, I've nursed it along for several years wiggling the charger so it would eventually charge up enough to use for a couple of days. And it would never connect to the wi-fi at the beach, so I had to get it all set up before I left home and couldn't add a book while there. So it's set up and charging up now.

Next door neighbors cancelled for tonight - we'll see them after we get back from the beach. So we have a quiet evening, unless dh wants to call other neighbors to come over for bourbon... I had to hold him back from inviting all four over for dinner tonight, lol.

I'm always relieved to reach the end of the school week. With holiday and sick teens this has been an unusual week.

DH is listening to Glen Miller music on echo. It has been a long time since I have listened to that music and I'm enjoying it playing in the background.

DD13 is supposed to go stay with DD49 this weekend. She was invited to go stay last weekend but DD49 cancelled when DD13 got sick. Life has taught us that nothing with DD49 is for sure until it actually happens.

DS16 GF grandmother took her to the ER today. They ran typical tests on the GF (strep, flu a, flu b, covid) and the test all came back negative. On the way home they had a vehicle accident that crushed their vehicle passenger side. Thankfully, they were all okay.

I spent some time finding items on hand to create some places for the 30 goldfish to swim around/through/under in their outdoor tanks. I find it very peaceful and relaxing to watch the fish.

Hmmm... dh is off his food tonight. He said he had a stomach ache and went to bed. A while later I heard him yell my name, (TV is on and it's loud) so I went in. For the second time in the past 6 months, he was sick to his stomach. He had told me for almost 10 years that he had only been sick to his stomach twice in his entire life. Now the official number has doubled.

Of course I cleaned up the mess. Thankfully he has metal garbage cans, so the clean up was fast and easy. I fussed over his blankets and closed the blinds and turned on his bedside light. As I was leaving the room, he said that he likes the way I look after him. Awww....

Thank you. Yes you did it right. I don't think I realized there was a section for members only. No need to apologize..

So much sickness going around. I hope whomever is affected is better soon. Seems almost someone or more in most households. So far so good but who knows it's going around at work. And dd has been sick for a couple months. Since she started at daycare. I don't even know if she's contagious might be a sinuses infection.

I think I don't know why I didn't do it sooner. Turning music on my phone while walking is relaxing. I discovered today by my test results my iron and b12 levels are quite low. Not anemic but need to fix that. Explains the crazy forgetful lack of focus getting worse and worse. Now to add taking supplements to my routine...

Lauralind, B-12 sublingual (tablets but you put them under the tongue to dissolve) have worked very well for HRH's low B-12. At first, years back, he had been prescribed injections. He sure was happy when it turned out the sublingual worked just as well.

Dstepson is going to take me tomorrow. HRH soldiered through two days but will be grateful for another day off since he's definitely not feeling great himself. I hate for dstepson to have to be the one to take me on the day I will feel weakest, but it will be alright.

Ramblin', I am sorry to hear about the high prednisone but it's such good news to find that you have a diagnosis and a plan.

Next up, put enough on my stomach to take pills. As of waking after today's nap, I have that "food is awful" feeling again, like I couldn't eat a bite. I took out the time to have the new electrolyte and amino acids drink that may help (you have to take on empty stomach, then not eat for a while). But no dodging it now, I have to eat. yuck.

Cathy, I really feel for your dh today. Hoping this is very temporary for him.

That is what I just got from the store. I did take the injections years ago and they worked really well. That's good to know they worked for him. I also got a powder iron that mixes in water. Hopefully it helps.

I am glad you have your children close by to help out with all your treatments. I know it's hard to ask for help.
