(((Harriet))) (((HRH))) * So glad you could check in with us today!
and (((Cathy's dh)))
-- nausea is just The Worst. I hope it passes soon for both of you. And I hope all goes well tomorrow for you and dstepson, Harriet.
Also (((HUGS))) for Rose, and LadyM's DS. Lauralind is right -- there is a LOT of sickness going around.

I probably should try the sublingual B-12 tablets -- I think I did try them once, and they made me feel kinda nauseous. But it might have been a tablet I swallowed whole?

LadyM, I think my in-laws saw Glen Miller in concert during WWII -- dfil was stationed on the coast off San Francisco/Oakland, and dmil went out there with him. They loved that big band music.
And oh my goodness -- I just saw the part about ds' girlfriend and her grandmother being in a wreck! I am glad no one was injured.
Watching fish is very relaxing. Dmom was just talking about how she would like to have an aquarium.

Twins, I had to LOL when you mentioned that you are OBE everytime dh comes in and starts talking...
I cannot even IMAGINE what I would have done if my dh had been the kind to want to invite people over for meals all the time. My ddad was borderline on that. None of us ever quite forgave him for inviting his friend and friend's girlfriend for CHRISTMAS EVE breakfast. He just did it (we suspect) so the friend could avoid going to the girlfriend's children's celebration -- friend was kinda "done" with her family things -- and ddad wanted to give him an excuse. From dmom to my dbro to ds's family -- we were ALL kinda put out. I really liked both the friend and the girlfriend, but I was sorta selfish with my family time on Christmas.

It has been pouring rain off and on all week here -- all of dgs' ballgames have been cancelled. I'm kinda glad. It has given me some time to catch up on soe rest after a very busy week before Easter. I was so tired this afternoon that I am afraid I may have actually dozed off while talking to DS and dgs on the phone this afternoon! To be fair, I was mostly just listening to THEM. They were having a discussion about why DGS never brings anything home, and how DS has instructed him to stop this; to bring his backpack home Every Day and quit forgetting things like progress reports, etc.

Nancy, do you write anything for publication, or do you just write for yourself?
I still need to purge some journals and probably some high school poetry, and some letters... sigh... some things I want to keep, but would probably be embarrassed for family to read after my death. * I'm not planning my death, just realizing how everything is just left up in the air, no warning sometimes, after cleaning out dinlaws' possessions, and after dh's death.

Well, despite being very sleepy while talking to DS -- I have had an amazing day. (Are y'all sitting down?)
I have spent an HOUR in the Zone -- the study -- dusting. I did 15 minutes before the teacher group, and 45 minutes after I ate supper.
The bad news is, I have only dusted half of this room!!! This is the room where the ceiling had to be repaired, so EVERYTHING is covered with dust, and there is a wall of bookshelves that have a LOT of pictures and misc. stuff. It's unreal, how long it took to do that much, and I was using a Swiffer. I'm noticing that I changed the Swiffer thing after doing my bedroom, AND I changed it again after half the study. Of course, I might not have to change it so often if I did this more often? But I am thinking, using the Swiffer is not very economical. And dusting with a damp cloth might be more efficient. OTOH... the Swiffer sure makes things easier.
I am also giving some thought to how I might display some of these momentos in a less cumbersome way. I may need to hang some pictures which have been propped on a shelf for a long while. I need a shadow box for dh's father's flag also.

Also today, I updated my calendar and map with ds's travels. I think I told y'all this -- dh and I started long ago, marking (with pins) ds's show dates on a very large USA map. Well, dh always underlined the sites on a smaller map -- atlas -- and then I'd put a pin in the big map. He didn't highlight it in the LIST in the atlas. So a lot of times, we'd look it up and then say, "Oh, he's played there." So -- now I'm using a highlighter to mark the list so I don't have to search for "G 3" etc over and over. But it takes quite a while, if one puts this off for a long time. And, LOL, DS told me, "You are marking places I may not even go. I told him I wasn't working Friday nights during the fall. You may just have a bunch of places (band leader) is going." But dh would mark it as soon as band leader put it on the schedule, so I am continuing with the plan. Something else for ds to clean out at my death, right?

Tomorrow, I have to do school pick-up and dgd will be spending the night. DGS wants to go to the high school baseball game, but I am just not into this, I think. They are in the second round of state playoffs, here at home, but I do not want to deal with the crowd and everything. If this rain doesn't stop, they may not even play. We will see what tomorrow brings.

Hope things go well tomorrow for all of you!!!
Tomorrow is another day.
