Satisfying Saturday PWYC

Post by Twins' Mom »

Have a satisfying day! When the sun goes down we want to look back and it was a day well spent, on people and things that matter most!

I would love to end this Saturday feeling satisfied. That is a great goal.

We have rain happening. Lots of rain sounds on the roof and windows with lightning and thunder happening every minute or two. This is suppose to continue most of the day. I had a somewhat funny thought as I wondered if the fish will be okay in this rain. What if their containers get too much rain water and start overflowing. Can fish be hurt by getting too much water?

The future radar shows no breaks in the rain until 7pm tonight. That means I will be getting my hourly steps accomplished inside the house today.

Hi, Twins'. Have fun with your day.

LadyM, I was so sorry to hear about the gf's family car wreck, and just when trying to get her some good care. So glad no one was really hurt, but I'm sure it was a shock.

lucylee, I think you did right using the swiffer on that situation. When it happened here, I was so surprised at the just-painted walls holding so much dust, too, and I don't think anything but the swiffer could have helped me as well with that. Yes, there could be items that need moisture, even knick-knacks that could use a wash, but the swiffer is at least the right first step to hold the dust and get rid of as much as you can.

I have that second small load in the wash now.

Ramblin', how ya feelin', hon?

Kitchen trash taken to outside trash can. Because of the lighning I would have preferred to wait but DH was eager to get it done.

Dishes are being washed by hand each time I walk into the kitchen. Clean dishes are put away and anything dirty gets washed and put into the dish drainer to air dry. Repeat frequently

Teamed up with DH to move the refrigerator to its correct place in the kitchen. It has been hanging out on the other side of the kitchen since the new stove installation EIGHT DAYS AGO. Procrastinate much? With that question being asked, I can feel everyone's eyes rightfully and fondly looking toward me. My name is LM and I am known to procrastinate.

DD49 called to let me know that she went to work this morning (leaving DD13 at her home alone). Now the rain has caused the creeks to rise 6' around DD49 employment place. DD49 let me know that she has put DGS28 on alert to be ready to respond to any need DD13 has. I am not okay with this situation, but I am trying to be.

I'll be busy today but it's good busy, and in anticipation of heading to the beach tomorrow. We're also seeing Hamilton, a favorite, this afternoon with friends and will have dinner out with them after Hamilton. And getting things packed up tonight, firming up all the dog sitter arrangements, etc. etc.

I'm trying to keep my mouth shut about some of dh's packing. He has packed two boxes of 20 protein bars each, this for a one week trip. Traveling by car it's easy to take as much as we want, but let's be realistic, lol. But I'm trying to keep it zipped up. Protein bars can come home too.

I slept until past nine, nice to sleep in. Dh is at Torah study, I need to walk the dog and get myself moving. Laundry already going. Dog walked.

Need to reboot laundry.

Both of you (Harriet and RR) hang in there. Thinking of Harriet as she enter hospital tomorrow for a reunion with her newly infused cells! LOL, LM on the procrastination. Lookin' right back at ya! With rain good day for Lord M to be inside too.

Ooph. That's what I want. Satisfying. Right now I should go eat and drink something. I've had my soak and feel very non energetic atm. Dh brought me my b12 and talked me into that one in the morning and iron with supper as it's supposed to go with food. I don't always eat right in the morning or lunch

I am learning to view my part care a bit better. Satisfied needing to put that first and spend a little time with mom. Dad wants to come see the trade show in town for a bit. I'll do some things there this morning and then see what if anything I want or get to here after.

Rose I hope you can get the care you may need . Bronchitis is no good. Feel better soon.

Harriet wishing you such in your hospital stay.

So many bugs going around. Hoping everyone is up to par soon. Being so productive you all are.

It continues to rain. We are in flash flood warning with orders to not drive unless there is an emergency. Many roads and the interstate are closed due to flooding. We have received over 4" in the past few hours and it is predicted to continue raining for another 5 hours.

When I walked outside to check the rain gauge in the garden, I picked the first 3 strawberries of 2025. Now the daily harvest will include asparagus and strawberries. I am harvesting greens, onions, and garlic when I am ready to use them.

A good thing is coming from having to stay indoors while doing hourly steps. I am bored. So, to distract myself from the walking boredom, I am opening mail and deciding what to do with it. About 75% goes into the trash.

DS16 and I had words. He is not pleased that I won't allow him to go with DFriend to ride ATV in the flooding water. I am not giving an inch to his requests. My final words about not allowing him to play in flood waters....Too bad. So sad. Don't care. You are NOT going to play in the flood waters. Deal with it.

Hi!

I was awake around 6, and couldn't get back to sleep. I decided to watch the Pope's funeral. Saw the beautiful streets of Rome and saw places (like St. Peter's and the square. I've been in St. Peter's twice and I've walked across that square. Rome is truly a beautiful city. My x and I stayed there for 3 days once at the beginning of a cruise.

I went back to bed afterwards and slept for 3 more hours. Dh was feeling well enough to go pick up a few groceries. I haven't done anything else today.

Supper will be a pasta with meat sauce. I think spaghetti would be nice. I'm sure we had rigatoni last week.
