Snap Shot Sunday PWYC

Post by Nancy »

Give us a snap shot of what your Sunday is like today.
I've been out side for a walk about in the yard and did a bit of watering.
Gathered some herbs to cook with later on when I make up pizza.

Leaning adventures looked up how to install a stove hood.
To get the steps written down. Dgson did not call back.
Might just call the guy.
But never though of ai to learn some thing so I can put it in my learning log!

Snap shot of my day.

Leftover spaghetti and meat sauce from last night, so no cooking.
All laundry is clean other than a few things in the washer. Not really enough for a load.
Dishwasher needs to be turned on. All pots/pans and utensils were done on Friday.

Dh and I want to get the rest of the dead parts of the trumpet vine cut off. It's supposed to be a gorgeous day outside.

All 3 cats are sleeping. Dh just had a shower. TV is on. Dh and I are both on our computers.

That was more like a home movie instead of a snapshot of 2 people having a boring day.

Nobody expected to visit. Naps possible.

Nancy - Thank you for the start today.

I love the snapshot of our day. What you might consider normal is interesting to me.

My snapshot = I am preparing lunch to celebrate DGS28 birthday. DH has been busy but just sat down to watch a movie while he waits for someone to show up at the front door. DGS16 is in his bedroom. DD13 stayed at DD49 home last night. We have a quiet home right now and are enjoying the moments.

I've been to the garden several times this morning just because I can. :)

I am delaying updating the Kitchen spreadsheet because so much is happening in the kitchen. Any data I add to the food spreadsheet will be OBE by what everyone eats at birthday celebration.

I'm having a quiet morning. Finally baking something. Brownies almost done for lunch after church. I fully intend a day for me and dh and ds. Except church and maybe worship night. I will try to claim it.

Maybe some outside projects together this afternoon. Or maybe nap time.

Pizza prep is underway now.
I took time out for journaling processing info. from yesterday.
Forward plans / was going to think about mowing till I remembered I'd watered.
So no go on that till it drys out anyway.
Rain on Tues. maybe put it on Mon. calendar.
I sort of like to do it when some one else is doing it so there is already that noise happening.
POP Put On Pants. Happened.

-----
Walked
made pizza it was great.
A couple of tweaks and it will be awesome!
i'm feeling better.
I have mowed.
-----
This evening cut off some weeds & watered a bit in front after my dinner.
Knit a few rows & crochet on the hot pad I have underway.

Ended up that dh thought the grass needed a better trim, now that we have our mower back. It does look a lot better. I cut it this time. Dh was busy with a sawsall and then he tried to start the large chainsaw. It wouldn't start. He is now finished taking down the base of the trumpet vine in 2 different spots and he had to take down 3 of the 4 cedars. He didn't want to, but they weren't looking good. The chain came off just as he was finishing, but there are some other things he wants to take down or trim, so he needs to get the chain back on. The southwest corner of the back yard looks a lot better than it did a week ago.

Snapshot of my day?
Church — dgd’s first time being an acolyte
Lunch
Kids clothes in the washer, dgs tends to wipe his hands on his pants
Refereed (sp?) 1.5 innings of a kickball game, which ended abruptly when Dgd realized she was getting beat and wouldn’t catch up with dgs.
Now, hopefully, I will rest.
Tomorrow is another day.

Birthday lunch happened without any problems. I so enjoy celebrating birthdays. I cook almost every day but cooking today was different in that it is rare for everyone to eat the same thing and sit at the table together.

DGS28 loves to garden. We spent time discussing his plans for garden design and implementation. His mom (DD49) loves to garden also. My DMom, Grandparents and Great-Grandparents all loved to spend time in their gardens. I wonder if there is a gardening gene that our family has? ;)

My day has been slow. Still not feeling well, but hope by Thur. I can fly. I have all my clothes ready to pack, got my suitcases down, Made sure all my reservations and traveling apps are in order and made my to-do list for the next few days.

I'm taking everything a few bites at a time, and resting in between.

(((RR))) I know you are a very experienced traveler and will make the right decisions about traveling while sick. Will you be flying or driving? Did you learn any interesting information from visiting with the homeopathic dr?

I spent some time updating my digital SHE cards. I tend to go through periods of using them consistently and then slack off. I do enjoy the feeling that nothing will slip through the cracks when i consistently use the SHE cards. However, sometimes life happens, and I stop using the SHE cards. I consider it a good sign when I am not so overwhelmed that I can keep up.
