Re: Maiden Blush apple on Monday @ TDD - C&C
Hello, L.Ann!
I'm having a late lunch in my garden and enjoying the sun. I've finished potting up all the bedding plants I've bought, so I'm having a few minutes just to sit down before I do something inside.

Message P
Digital decluttering- Google Photos for 2024 and 2025
Pick up my footprints
House tasks: clean gutters and the swan neck on the downpipes where "stuff" tends to accumulate, clean cladding back and front and downpipes, and short return wall as well. Replace the bit of mortar that's fallen out of the edge of the roof (I think its called the verge?) , fix dripping kitchen tap ( new washer?), sort out cabinet that wobbles, fix garage guttering that's loose at one end and bending down. More as I think of them? Texted 10/3
and 14/4
If no reply by the end of the month, then definitely look for someone else (DF PM is also starting to become exasperated with his reluctance)
Steps to take to find a replacement: ask friends, look on local sources eg Nextdoor for recommendations
I may have to split the jobs between different people this year if I can't find someone who's good at a variety of skills, so:
For gutter cleaning, Dneighbours R and A used Ben's gutters -are they pleased with the work? Does BG also clean cladding? Do they have a website? Yes
Also The E Gutter Cleaners -they have good reviews
Prepare my "job spec" WIP
Fill in free quote forms for both the above companies
Wait and see the results!
Kitchen tap - DF E has given me the phone number of her plumber . I think DF CW also has a plumber she is happy with?
Garage gutter -probably something for a handyman - text /message a few likely people. Does Dneighbour R2 do handyman type jobs? I know he's done work for Dneighbour R in the past, but that was larger jobs, like laying a path!
Pick a new podiatrist from my "short list"
Book an appointment !
Take up and hem those thick winter curtains for the kitchen
Book eye test for me
Find picture hanging equipment for DH
Sort prints and put in albums (this will probably be an activity to do on wet days!) WIP I am now working on 2024
Think about setting up Guardianship for F,J and M - looked on Cats' Protection, I need their microchip numbers, approximate DOB, colour and markings and useful information about them. Bookmark link with local recommended solicitors (also ask DF CW?)
Change health centres to the one nearest us? On hold ATM , but I'll leave it on my list so I don't forget.

Re: Maiden Blush apple on Monday @ TDD - C&C
Hmm I guess you can't start typing here and set it down for half hour. I had a whole apple tree adventure story that I'm not going to retype.
Trissie I am so glad you had a great shopping trip with the girls. Did they find any treasures?
So my kitty lover friends. I am requesting ideas again for my brood of too many cats. I am thinking someone is going to have to make a trip to the vet again. I have 5. I don't know who but maybe more than one. Cleaning my mirror in the bathroom and lucky came up on the counter. Next thing I know she had peed right there in front of me. That is the second time in plain sight. Her both times. I think they all have a tendency to hide it while I am not watching. That bathroom is bad. And I have discovered we built that counter unknowingly as a perfect change table for grandbaby. Ugh. Who? Why ? Right in front of us? Could be territory. 3 and 2 are siblings. It's not new. They all have free accounts outside and lots of times do business out there. I took away one litter box as they never used it. I have 3 atm. I am at a loss.
Ok well I should be doing stuff. That was part way through routines. I am deciding when to go vote. Probably between school run and then go to work. I think I will make an easy morning as truck day again. I probably need to try and not push myself as much at freight until I start feeling a difference from the supplements. Not slow down just actually take breaks and maybe get help with heavier things more. I do have help but I am not afraid to do what I can by myself.

Re: Maiden Blush apple on Monday @ TDD - C&C
Somehow, it's already 6pm??? The online seminar ran longer than it was supposed to and nothing goes as easy and as quick today as I would hope. Oh well, tires are swapped, another thing off my list and off my mind!
Bama, did you make those stewed apples?
kittykatt, I think it's important to be authentic with one's kids, and understand that their world is and will be different from the one I grew up in. I mean, I know they think I am a dinosaurus, but I can at least be an authentic dinosaurus!
L.Ann, is LilBit old enough to swim on her own, or will it be a gma-baby swimming lesson?
lauralind, I think the girls are happy with their shoppings. They better be, given how long it's taken them to go through the stores!

Re: Maiden Blush apple on Monday @ TDD - C&C
Little Bit will do the lesson on her own. Hopefully!
I am pretty sure the teacher does not allow parent help. She is a first grade teacher and is supposed to be excellent. No cats here, Laura, so no advice. Hi kittykatt. Little Bit and I did a bit of gardening this morning. Little Bit had a fever last night. She seems to have a cold with a runny nose and cough so she stayed home today and we let her sleep in. We had a relatively slow moving morning.

Re: Maiden Blush apple on Monday @ TDD - C&C
Good afternoon!
Kittykatt, extra neck scratch from me to Jude. Re โhabitsโ, maybe itโs something some kids pick up onโฆ? My mother smoked (lots of stress in her life long term, she passed from copd), my father whom I never knew was an alcoholic or so Iโm told, I never had any desire to smoke or drink although exposed to it quite a bit, my older brothers did both socially but quit, friends did, I grew up in the era of disco and nightclubs with ladies night, buy one get two drinks free, all sorts of temptations, but thankfully didnโt go down either path (smoking or drinking to excess).
Hi LAnn! Hope lil bit is doing better.
Hi Laura! Cats are so individual itโs hard for me to peg. I try everything and when that stops working go back around and change it up until it works out. We have males and females, siblings and non siblings, all ages all mixed in. All sterile. We got stainless steel x large litter boxes off Amazon which helped a lot. Scoop at least once a day. Put out as many as you can. We only have so much room so have 2 in the laundry room, and 1 in each bathroom. We canโt have them in open living spaces as the dogs would feast upon them. Use odoban to clean messes, there are lots of cleaner and disinfectant options, I switch it up occasionally so they donโt become used to any one and start to mark their usual spots again. Tux is a senior and doesnโt seem to want to climb in the litter box (arthritis mostly) so the foyer is his spot of choice, we have concrete floors and I daily spot clean every area he uses, it is what it is. No small kids here any more so itโs just me and I canโt stand the ammonia smell. Iโll probably die from Lysol inhalation
Consistency is key, clean thoroughly with odoban or similar, make sure to get any cracks and crevices, wipe down before they use that spot to keep it smelling fresh and hope they move on to the litter boxes. We used to have someone (never did figure out who it was), pee on the couch daily. They havenโt done it in months.
I do buy pet covers and keep 2 layers of covers on all furniture and wash often. Keeps the fur off too, no pet stains of any kind (urine, feces, vomit, body oils, fur) on furniture. And if there did happen to be an accident, I swap out the cover a lot easier than scrubbing a couch. I digress haha, most of my chores revolve around these animals. Itโs a good thing Iโm fond of them. We wouldnโt have this many if I had a choice but everyone is a rescue except for Beau, my German shepherd, and Iโve always wanted one so when the opportunity arose I got him. Also, brush them all with the same brush to intertwine their scents so if it is a conflict that might calm them some. Kittykatt uses feliway I believe. I tried it but couldnโt tell a difference in behavior, maybe I didnโt give it long enough.
Trissie, I would say time flies when youโre having fun but a seminar doesnโt sound that fun lol. Apples are tbd for now. Dh called, gravel guy is coming at 3 so Iโm trying to speed through inside chores so I can spend my days outside taking gravel. They dump it but donโt spread it and itโs two dump trucks full.
Thanks Bama. Most of that I have tried. Except for putting litter boxes in plain sight. I have 2 in the furnace room and 1 at the end of the hall..the dog would get them in too visible places. I have thought of getting felway but other than vet visits I am at a loss.
