Hello, everyone!

Laura, is Stella (?) still eating her urinary diet food ? (I think she's the one who has bladder crystals?) Lucky sounds as though she's due a vet visit, as preferring to use a hard surface *can* be a sign of a UTI. I think some detective work is needed to discover the other culprit (s).

Royal Canin make crystals that you can scatter on top of the cat litter - the idea is that if someone has a UTI, the crystals will change colour. It's not a definitive test though, rather more of an indication.

Does anyone get bullied by the others? Were they stressed by all your guests? Bama is right, I do use Feliway, it doesn't work for everyone, but I've had good results. There are now different varieties - "Friends" for a multi cat household, and also "Optimum" , but mine seem happy with the original "Classic". More trays may help -the rule of thumb is 1 tray per cat , + 1. Have you noticed anyone continually on and off the litter tray? This can be a sign of cystitis, and / or crystals.

Bama, you have quite a menagerie! So good of you to rescue so many animals who needed a good home.

House tasks: clean gutters and the swan neck on the downpipes where "stuff" tends to accumulate, clean cladding back and front and downpipes, and short return wall as well. Replace the bit of mortar that's fallen out of the edge of the roof (I think its called the verge?) , fix dripping kitchen tap ( new washer?), sort out cabinet that wobbles, fix garage guttering that's loose at one end and bending down. More as I think of them? Texted 10/3 and 14/4
If no reply by the end of the month, then definitely look for someone else (DF PM is also starting to become exasperated with his reluctance)
Steps to take to find a replacement: ask friends, look on local sources eg Nextdoor for recommendations
I may have to split the jobs between different people this year if I can't find someone who's good at a variety of skills, so:
For gutter cleaning, Dneighbours R and A used Ben's gutters -are they pleased with the work? Does BG also clean cladding? Do they have a website? Yes

WTG on those lists, peaches, LAnn, Kittykatt! I’m keeping mine on page one so I don’t have to look at it lol. It’s been updated. Just finished planting tomatoes, banana peppers, marigolds, and a mini rose. Worked up a sweat just on the porch in the shade. It’s very sunny and warm here. Sitting in a shady spot by the driveway drinking water and cuops while I wait for the dump trucks bringing me more to dos. It’s all good though. Our driveway has a slight slope and is starting to wash out in spots so this will put an end to that.

Kittykatt, re the menagerie, funny thing is I’ve always been a dog person. I would never believe someone if they told me some day I’d own a dozen cats.

Dirt has arrived and been dumped in driveway. There’s so much that it’s definitely going to keep dh busy and out of trouble for awhile (and me too). I’m inside cooling off some. Worked up another sweat just watching them.
