Friday Framing our day PWYC

Post by Lady Maverick »

How do you frame your day? Do you need to adjust your morning or evening routines?
Two of the most important routines to be intentional about are our morning routine and our evening routine. These routines act as bookends, framing each day in either a positive, neutral, or negative way.

Ooh I like that. My routine needs severe help. Morning routine is pretty set but I very rarely get to it all on work days. Evening routine doesn't exist. Well kinda but it includes crash on the couch by 830 and straight to bed.

Gotta get moving but my stella cat is not feeling well and she's come up for snuggles right when I should move like usual.

Work day again and at this rate I will be racing around to get ready..

We have another rainy day. We received 1.6" of rain overnight. I just checked the radar and it predicts the storm will end here around noon. The next 2 days are predicted to be sunny. Nice!

Morning routine, personal care and kitchen happenings have all been done well. Now that those are accomplished, I can turn my attention to the middle part of the day.

looking around for SHE friends. Come out, come out, wherever you are!

Back from trip to bank, grocery store and tag agency. The parking lot was full at the tag agency so we didn't stop. We will do that errand later today or another day.

Hi!

I cleaned out the fridge this morning. Wiped all the glass shelves. Put everything back. Then I rearranged my entire half of the clothes closet in our bedroom. The youngest cat has a hidden cave at one end. Sometimes she sleeps on one of the 2 big fluffy white towels that are just outside her little cat condo. Now my closet is in "summer" mode with the long sleeve stuff closer to dh's half of the closet. Dh's stuff never moves.

After I did that, I went to Walmart and stocked up on soda for dh and cat food. I couldn't find any more mashed potatoes. On looking around the store a bit more closely, I realized that a lot of "made in USA" stuff isn't there, but there are numerous Canadian flag stickers to show where the Canadian made products are. There was a huge display of stuff on clearance. I noticed people picking stuff up and putting it down again. Even at deeply discounted prices, the products from the US just aren't getting purchased.

Came home and put everything away and went to knitting. Not as many people there when we have good weather.

Tonight dh and I are going to support his best friend at a nearby bar. We are considering getting a pizza when we are there. Dh doesn't drink, so no beer for us.
Dishes never stop.
Laundry never stops.
Litter boxes never stop.
Paper never stops.

Success with the fourth trip to the tag agency. I have no clue how the VIN # got changed on the insurance but it is fixed and all good now.

I will be starting my evening routine in an hour. I am trying to obtain that habit to finish the frame for the day.

Good evening! I’m surprised lucylee hasn’t beaten me here.

Taking a peek in as I get ready for bed. Today was busy with work — two projects crossing my desk at the same time. I felt bad; my friend had to do too much rework of something I had done, at least in my opinion. I’m sure it was a case of it being easier to do it herself than to explain just what needed to be changed, but the whole reason I’m there is to ease her workload, not add to it.

DH and DC went to our AHL team’s game tonight. It was probably the last home game of the season for them. They’re in the second round of the playoffs, and it doesn’t look like they’ll make it to the third. They’re down 0-2 in a best of five series, and the other three games will be at the other team’s home ice.

Can’t blame Canadians for boycotting American stuff. We’re not being a good ally lately. And if we can have “buy American” campaigns, it’s only right for Canadians to have a “buy Canadian” campaign.

Past time to turn out the lights. DH is already asleep. Sweet dreams, everybody!
