I'll be soaking up the fresh air today and heading home tomorrow. Yesterday was a pool day - not in the pool but at the pool. I stay in the shade and the temps were more comfortable there than the beach has been.

Pics show flooding in our area yesterday, the rain overwhelmed the drainage infrastructure, but I think all is well now. Concerned about my dMillie, from the doorbell camera it looks like our dog sitter hasn't been with her that much although she may be coming and going through the back door too.

I'm a little talked out and peopled out here, quiet time at the pool will be good today, just reading.

I come home from every trip wanting to carve out more time for genealogy. I just have to do it somehow. Put in a block of time and do it, instead of letting the other "I need to do this or that stuff" get in the way. Why can't I manage my time better? And with dh's retirement coming up, I gotta that that time for myself too...

My day started at 4:45 when I woke up at the dawning of the day
Got laundry is soaking in the washer.
I soaked up some sun yesterday.
I have put clean sheets on the bed to go in the next load.

Floor need swept then soaking when I mop them.
Swept the seeds off the driveway.
Did a shorter walk with ddoggo.

Later I'll be soaking up sun when I mow the back.
Grass is still wet...later it dried off got it mowed.

Was going to be soaking & enjoying the garden with dd when she remembered
it was prom tonight, & she wanted to hunt mushrooms ~
so that changed things up. Not gonna lie I was disappointed.
Sigh.

Roses & irises are in bloom.
Dd has come & gone.
She took a stack of books too.

Clouded up and windy now so glad we were able to enjoy the yard when we did!

I am soaking up the sunshine today.

Both of the teens are sleeping in this morning. DH is outside enjoying the weather. I can hear that he got the weedeater string loaded and going. Replacing the string is a challenge for him. We have taken the weedeater twice to be repaired this past month because DH disassembles it when he tries to replace the string. It should be a 10 second task but it is almost beyond his mental abilities. Weedeating is something he enjoys doing so we are just making it happen as long as he can.

I tried to sleep in today. After I let 2 of the cats out (the other was not interested in moving off of her chair) I went back to bed and back to some weird dreams.

I need to go to a local pet food store to get a big bag of dry food today.

I have dealt with 1/2 cat litter boxes today. Small compost bin has been emptied and it needs to be rinsed out. Bathroom and kitchen garbage cans have been emptied as well.

Dh has requested rigatoni tonight and the ground meat is defrosting in the sink.

It's raining here today.

I enjoy soaking it up. My most cherishing choice in the new house is putting in the jet tub. Renoed a bedroom into the main bathroom and it's a rather large size bathroom. Had room for tub and shower. My own personal hot tub. I also would like to soak up some outside air today. Maybe the sun that is out right now will win over the clouds that are predicted later.

I am hoping to get a bunch done raking Caspers run area outside. Plus dh wants to help me with my flower beds. He's got to set up a couple things for Sunday morning at the church at some point too. Only trouble ds15 came down with quite the cold yesterday and I am not going to push him to help. Hopefully he's better next week as he's supposed to have his testing for asd on Thursday and I already canceled it once cause it was landed right before dad's surgery. Just a little much.

Soaking up knowledge here. Learned to be independent with I.V. Machine hookup and pole.

Gratitude for those who donate blood. Gratitude that I won’t need any today.

No gowns or gloves needed if anyone visits today. Dstepson stayed with me a long time yesterday even though so much protective gear.

Hi Harriet!!

I took everything off of the bathroom floor so I could sweep and mop under the table we have in there. It's an old (MCM) end table and it holds the dry food bin on the bottom shelf and the top is clear so the cats can jump on there to get up to the counter where their food is.

I also mopped the living room and hallway. I have a load going in the washing machine now.

I am achy — don’t want to think it might be the beginnings of arthritis — and am trying to pry myself out of my comfy chair and get up to take a Tylenol. DH is home early from proctoring the SAT. They are now all on the computer, and it goes much faster.

Our fun today will be going to a friend’s bell choir concert. Our mutual friend, Dfriend K, knew about it and suggested it. I am hoping we can all grab a bite to eat or something afterwards; it has been a long time since I’ve seen dfriend B, who is playing.

I hope Millie is well taken care of, Twins. And yes, it does sound like you should set some boundaries around your genealogy time before your DH’s retirement — not to limit it but to make sure your DH doesn’t encroach upon it. It sounds like he may pull you into a social whirlwind! (Not that you’re not already in a social whirlwind by my standards — I’m such a homebody.)

Trying to figure out what prom and mushroom hunting have to do with each other, Nancy. Probably nothing, am I right?

Was going to say your day sounded leisurely, Cathy, but then I read your second post. Busy, busy!

I did the second litter box.

I went and got some groceries. I needed the base for my meat sauce. I forgot to grab a red pepper.
While I was in that parking lot I got the dry cat food.
I went to both banks and paid the utility bills.

I didn't get gas because it started to pour rain.
