I was way off. That does look festive. I'd probably call that streamers. Or garland.

I decided Casper is going to get his walk at usual time. Early afternoon on Saturday is a good chance the dogs I don't like running into are out. Dh is at the church atm. I've done 2 sessions of raking after lunch. That is the worst of the leaves but the messy Casper part is ahead yet. Already looking better but good enough of that or I will do too much for one day.

I've made coffee. Then time for some inside stuff. And I could have asked dh to stop for milk but I think I will go myself later maybe there's some other stuff I will find.

It has been a successful day - except I ate too many cookies at CG1. S2 made homemade oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. SO hard to resist.

I got my 4 main goals done. It's after 10 pm now. I need to do a little duo and then go to bed. I probably won't track my food for the day; it's hard to tell what I ate at CG1.

At CG1, S2's dh offered to look at Mom's lab results after I asked him re: her sugar level -- which is high. Mom is not overweight at all. He's an endocrinologist and an expert on diabetes and blood sugar. R (internal medicine) has also offered to look at Mom's lab results. I'm really blessed with generous and compassionate MD friends!

Helian, I sooo understand how reading cuts into sleep! Sometimes I just cannot allow myself to read, as I can't put down a good book, like you.
Your MD friends may ask, how elevated was her blood sugar? Was it before eating anything in the morning? Or after eating? There is an additional blood sugar test, called hemoglobin A1C, that gives a picture of what the general blood sugar level has been over the past several weeks. That may be recommended for followup.

Kittykatt, My first definition of "bunting" is a warm sleep sack for a young infant!

It's been a long day:
funeral for 102 year old mother of a friend. Died 16 days before 103.
Location of funeral was on the way to the veterinary hospital where I took ddog on Friday. They were not at all encouraging about her prognosis, so we took her home. Boy did she perk up when she saw us, and even more when she got home! I am encouraged, at least for now. She's drinking alot, and ate a whole Dairy Queen hamburger. They started her on an antibiotic. maybe that will help. She got 2 doses IV, then I'm continuing it with oral, liquid.
Poor mother is confused, mixed up. But very tired, so I hope she will be better in the morning. She thinks there are 2 dogs???? The one I tell her is sick, and this one that she thinks is really quite well, because mother has seen her eat and drink.
