Hi all. Home from work. The usual freight day tired. It's a pretty good size truck. Was a bit of a run around day and I feel like I've been all over. A few stops before work. Then dh got me to take him home half way through the day. He came down with ds cold. Lots of staff today. But his truck was just in the shop right then so I had to leave work again to get ds and bring dh to get the truck. Now I am ready to take drastic measures to say no to a walk.

Doggedly I am so sorry. I have had that happen to mattresses before. And I myself have taken a handful of stress days just cause. You have a lot going on and you are doing amazing giving germane as good a life as you can. Don't feel bad calling in. It will help a lot
Pets. Vehicle. Work. Health. It's a lot. Been there all of it. I almost did it again the other day. Thankfully the trigger at work settled a bit today.

I'm sitting a bit and then I should get up and at least fix the kitchen. My busy morning I barely did routines.

Empty and reload dw
Switch laundry
Check on stella
Eat and clean up
Find next project to start (my book??)

Thanks, laurlind. I feel for you and all of the competing needs that you have been trying to meet. I know that it restricts my life when I don't have a vehicle, but I think that you live in an area where it is a necessity.
I'm still slogging on, so I'll be here to cheer you on for a while.

Go, Peaches!

kittykatt, I don't think that I responded to you. Turning 65 will help me. The Old Age Security will mean that some money is always coming in, even if it is not enough to live on, and my Canada Pension will bring in a bit more. I'm not sure how much. But it will give me some flexibility, so I can check what options the job market is offering for part time or seasonal work so that I'm not working all the time. I wouldn't mind working if I could also have more time to do the regular things like cleaning and visitin with friends. It just takes me longer to get things done now, so I would like to have that time.

it's gotten a bit late to put the breakmaker on, so I think that I will leave that for tomorrow.

Doggedly you're right we pretty much have a have a vehicle. City life there's always transportation and probably stores closer enjoy to walk. We could and have made do with one very but goodness that is more than I want from stress.

Things are easing slightly as dad is almost independent again. But he still needs help with mom. I have this suspicion mom is declining faster than we want to admit. Trouble is she can't do very much anymore and has very little energy. You have to do things and encourage her to help. Or get her out. She sparks to life at the though of coming here. But at home she can spend 75 % of the day just laying in bed not really sleeping. Many other things she needs help with including personal care.

Do you think that as your dfather gets better that you will be able to set aside a day off where you can just stay home and move forward on your own goals?

I have got two fitted sheets on the bed now, over the two covers that I put on earlier. This means that I can stop flipping the mattress on its side to fit the corners on the far side.

 my email has been sending my notifications to spam. Even though I keep telling it, not spam.

I started the day with meds for Tutsi.
Then Bible study at church.
A trip to mother's house, as tenant who recently left wondered if he left something there.
More meds for Tutsi.
Discovered an ulcer on her cornea.
Picked up meds for mother
Took Tutsi to vet, who gave treatment for eye, and shared bad news that the multiple things wrong with her may be pointing to a type of lymph cancer. I guess the ok news is that whether it's lymphoma, or inflammatory bowel disease, plus pancreatitis, the Prednisone treatment she is getting is helpful for all. None of it, apparently, is curable. But the treatment plan will keep her comfortable, and possibly slow progression. She's also got just a touch of pneumonia, so antibiotics 2x a day.
I have many tasks for taking care of her.

My foot: I've been able to keep my steps below 2,000 today. That's good for my foot.

Sorry to hear about Germane, helian 's Mom, laurlind 's Mom, various troubles at work for many.

I think I'm just too fast at hoping I can at least not use every day off there. Last week he brought her here and that was ok but I'm hoping to figure out some continued help besides my sister and I.

I'm glad you got the mattress sorted out. It'll do for now and if you have to you can clean it some more next time you change your sheets.

Awww poor tutsi. That's a busy day. Glad you are managing keeping off your foot.

Tutsi is lucky that she is a loved dog and receiving all of this great care from you, Gma. I'm sorry to hear about her illness though. I'm glad that you are able take care of your foot.

Thanks, laurlind. I'm done for the night. I just have to do some spot cleaning, as Germane has thrown the piece of hydrolysed protein dog food with her Benedryl in it onto the floor twice, and there it sits. She can skip her Benedryl tonight, and tomorrow I'll try another approach.

Good evening, sweet friends. I’ve tried to cuops and am sending warm, loving hugs and/or good vibes to anyone who wants them. I know not everyone likes hugs so substitute whatever would help make you feel better. Life can be rough some days and we all need a day to ourselves (calling it a migraine works). Something I didn’t know until recently, mattress covers now go on like fitted sheets, much easier than the old style you had to slip the whole mattress in and zip up, and they come in pretty colors on Amazon. Good for kids and pets. Praying for senior and or ill/injured family members, including four legged ones. I hope tomorrow is better. ♥️

We had a busy weekend, doctor appointments for dh Friday and today, just checkups, he’s fine, running errands and yard work while the weather isn’t too muggy yet. I need to make it a habit to post so I’m not all out of sorts at the beginning of the week and putting off work bc I haven’t made a list yet. That’s why I’m here now. Making my Tuesday list so I can get moving early tomorrow. It’s supposed to rain Wednesday through the rest of the week so I’d like to get stuff planted in the yard and let Mother Nature handle the watering in. My house is trashed after not having any attention for four days so it comes first.

Tuesday/Pet Day To Do List(√ = done)
