Ta Da! It's Tuesday PWYC
Celebrate all the completed tasks today - small to large - and we'll not talk about the to do list. We're too busy getting things done!

Re: Ta Da! It's Tuesday PWYC
Good morning! It sure is easier to get up when the days are getting longer and there's light early! (First ta da! Before the alarm!) and the garbage is out, too. My energy is great today.
I scheduled myself a work session from 11-4 today and dh reminded me last night of the form I need to take to the Social Security office here. There's always something. So I need to get myself moving and do that, as well as a.m. routine.
Dh has already been to workout and is going toward ATL for a client meeting today. We have dinner out with friends, not restaurant but their home. Turned down an invitation for dinner at another dfriends home on Sat. night. Pleased that dh was mostly in agreement with declining invite. We have a busy weekend with dd home and ds taking us out for brunch on Sunday and also a graduation party next door for our dogsitter neighbor.
I gotta get moving....

It was glitchy a bit again for me too.
Yup. Gotcha get through the routines before work. And this better not turn into a novel. Or I will run out of time.
Just had to comment on Lucylee last night. How special for dgs. Maybe he would learn to pitch? Sounds a lot like ds15. My boy that is extremely socially challenged. He was always behind in elementary school. A year behinds in developmental coordination. At first thought adhd. I dunno. Now in high school he is in basketball and actually doing ok. He only has a couple of friends although with the team that is enlarged a little. But everyone seems to like him and cheer him on. Two days from now on Thursday we're going for ASD testing. That has been 3 years in the waiting and then I postponed the first opportunity because it landed within the week of dad's open heart surgery and caring for mom. Nope. He's very high functioning but I am extremely curious.

Re: Ta Da! It's Tuesday PWYC
Good morning
It is raining. Again. Still. We broke the record for rain in April and it is still raining. If given the option, I would rather have rain than drought, so I best be counting my blessings.
I am frozen in the decision of what to do about a vehicle. Fix my 10 year old vehicle or start fresh with a new one? If we start fresh then which vehicle? I can't seem to narrow it down to type - pickup, suv, van, crossover.....Ford, Chevy, GM, Tesla, Toyota, Nissan, Honda....I quickly get overwhelmed. About the only decision I have made is gas instead of electric. That decision is basely made for me because our electric grid does not work all 356 days of the year. We typically lose power several times a year for days/weeks. Charging stations are few and far between. The closest one is over 20 miles away.
We got the 89 out of the shop this morning and used it to take DD13 to school. My daily drive is now a 36 year old vehicle.

Baby stepping my way through the vehicle issue. A beginning decision made - we are going to fix current vehicle. It is not drivable the way it is, so selling it would be a struggle. I started to make phone call to get appt with dealership when DS16 walked in and volunteered to try to fix it. Due to the nonstop rain, DS16 can't work so he has hours free to do other things. What could it hurt for DS16 to attempt to fix it (using google as a teacher)? I was already planning to hire a tow truck to haul the vehicle to the dealership, so I don't see much harm in letting DS16 try. He went to the part store to purchase the parts so we will see what happens.

Hi!
First, a celebration of sorts. DD FINALLY took all of her stuff that I have been storing at various locations since she moved out! She even took her TIRES!! WOO HOO! Dd was born in 1986. I don't remember when she moved out, but I think it was 2006.
Second, sometimes having a lawyer send a letter will finally light a fire under someone's rear end. After more than a year, I will finally have paperwork that I have been asking for returned to me.
Third... Mother's Day cards and gift cards have been sent to MIL by express post and will be there by Friday!
All garbage is out, both litter boxes are done, all clothes are clean and all dishes are done.
Wow! I'm going to go celebrate and by celebrate, I mean that I'm going to have a nap!!
The sun is actually shining here today as well. It's still to windy to burn anything, but that's okay.

Re: Ta Da! It's Tuesday PWYC
The board is giving errors every time I try to post. So far when I do a refresh it starts working again.
Cathy - you are having an awesome day! Congrats on getting so many things accomplished.
DD13 is home with a good report of her school day. Her water bottle is the biggest problem today. The top broke and she lost all her water. She likes the taste of RO water but not the taste of tap water so she went all day without water to drink. I asked if she wanted to pick out a new water bottle online or go pick one out IRL at brick & mortar store. She chooses to shop online.
DS16 replaced the parts on the suburban but the new parts are leaking. He took them back off and is returning them to the part store. DH thinks he over tightened the parts and cracked the plastic ....but who knows.....
If you feel like sharing.....I would love to know what you would do if you were forced to replace your existing vehicle. What vehicle would you choose and why? I am looking for ideas.

Re: Ta Da! It's Tuesday PWYC
LadyM my dh recommends either a Santa Fe Sport for an SUV or a Hyundai Elantra for a car. Both have great warranties. (At least they do here.)
Dh had a short nap. I didn't have any nap. I did lay in bed and read for a while. I tried really hard to have a nap.
I heard from the lawyer. The person with all my paperwork will be available all day tomorrow for the courier to pick up the paper work. I certainly hope so! I really, really need it. I just wish I actually get it as soon as possible.

LM on rigs :
I have a 4 door Ford pick up with f-150 motor 4x4 luv that rig!
Roomy for people hauling. It is pretty decent on fuel milage unlike bigger motors.
A tunnel cover on the back some times I luv it other times
not so much depending what I want to haul.
I have a 2 door jeep luv it but it has tiny pedals, not much leg room and took out the
back seat so it's just a 2 seater. Not good for tall teens, maybe the four door one but
be sure and ride in one first. [Me being not a tall person works for.] LH
had trouble getting in and out plus mine has a ledge to step over. I like the step and
grab bars on it.
