Today's a work day for me - what are you working on these days? Who has work on their mind? I know Lauralind is still working a payroll job, those days are long gone here, but we do have work around the home and volunteer work.

Yup I still work payroll. Today is my day off. I always have Wednesday and Saturday off. I kept Wednesday as it's bible study day. It's pretty set in stone and I have leeway tomorrow I needed off for ds appointment and it's extra.

Today I hopefully can work at home. Is it going to be nice or rain. I need to finish raking outdoors. As long as it's dry. And somehow find some rhyme or reason to inside tasks. I still need to investigate the card file system. Or find the proper flylady zones I used to succeed at.

Glad no board issues this a.m. I was working yesterday afternoon on reworking a very old attempt at the three generation family report. I think it will work for publication, and it could be something to submit when my certification is renewed. My writing has improved since I wrote it, it's fun to see what needs editing.

Dh and I have a meeting in less than an hour downtown. He went on to work, I've walked the dog but probably won't finish a.m. routine before time to leave. So I gotta get moving.

I'm putting my HOA accounting responsibilities in my Remember the Milk app to help me keep up with where I am. Right now the first priority is to finish the financial statement for last year and pull out some info on what we've spent, and work on a budget for next year. I'll be the bringer of doom - we need to raise HOA due substantially to do all that we want to do around here.

Lauralind, I think Harriet started a thread somewhere about the card system. We all use lots of different way to keep up. I use the app Remember the Milk, which is on my phone and computers. It's a recurring checklist type set up instead of physical cards. I have a.m. routine list, p.m. routine list, monthlies, weeklies, etc.

I'm am up slept in got 9 hrs. usual for me yea!
Did catching up on my journal stack. Counting that for Writer Wed.
I'll put info. on the in my journey thread if anyone else is interested.
Got 10K steps yesterday.
New creamer is great.
Luv the new beverage I learned from a mixologist it has no alcohol.

Dishes await for when I listen to class. X
Get dressed before weeding & seed sweeping. x
I need to do a bit of catch up on my Qt. stuff / audio Bible mostly.
Listening to class. x

Desk duty happened as stuff came in the mail or was on my list.
I am liking how that is working for me.
Bfast happened.
Pull Weeds & walk ; sweep seeds happened.

Good morning

I road tested DS16 repair work on the suburban when I took DD13 to school. It seems to be fixed. This gives me a temporary reprieve. The pressure is off to immediately get a different vehicle.

I have finished my morning routines - personal care, exercise & walk, and food prep for the day. Homeschool is in progress.

I enjoyed a 35 year career but consider being a homemaker, wife and mother the most challenging, important and rewarding work I've done.

I'm glad you have a reprieve, LadyM.

Back from meeting. It's cold and damp out, I put on a turtleneck and turned up the heat a little. I'll be working on the HOA stuff later so that will be downstairs here at the kitchen counter. Wishing I had a desk area downstairs too, lol. I have the Zoom meeting with mentee at 12:30, will probably do that downstairs also. I "scheduled" work for this afternoon but need to finish a.m. routine and do a few things downstairs first.

I am just trying to do too much in my life? I feel like I'm under a constant time crunch. But honestly, I've felt this way most of my life.

Right now need to finish a.m. routine, I don't think I can before the Zoom in 13 minutes.

After lunch CI / After my mini sub. a San on hot dog bun.

I have been out in the garden
I was out there for more than an hour.
I did a side down and enjoyed my flowers and all the work I've been doing this spring.
Then I decided to do the watering in front and beck just the beds.
Refilled the bird bath in front.
Cleaned out and refill one waterer in back.
Just realized I have one more forgot that one.
Maybe tomorrow.
I watered the beds in back too.
Has to change shoew to slipper and slacks were soppy wet at the lower part mid calf down.
So those are drying on the deck.

I need to think about dinner / oh I have soup to eat!
Works for me.
I did another section of weeding after dinner one more to go.
So I'm waiting for more shade before I do that part.

52 years ago today I became a mother for the first time. I was 17 years old and clueless about taking care of a baby. Thankfully it all worked out okay. DS52 and DDIL called last night asking for advice and my opinion about some aspects of parenting DGS18. We had lots of laughter discussing possible ways to deal with the final phase of raising a highly intelligent and independent young man. It is all good but not always easy.

What a day Wednesday has been.

Dh had an appointment to go for bloodwork. He left earlier. He go home before the time of the appointment. I found out that they "kicked him out". "new rule" and you can't go in until 5 minutes before. When I wen there, I found out that they asked him to go sit in his vehicle and to come back in 5 minutes before his scheduled time. Instead of doing that, he got in a snit and came home. Well, of course he did.

Any way... I ended up getting permission for him to go back tomorrow without a scheduled time. Instructions are to go to the window on the left side of the desk when he gets there. I will be going with him because with his memory issues, it isn't a given that he will do this right. I will also go to his next blood work appointment so I don't have to go back and go through what I wen through today. SIGH... BTW, I had to do this the last time he went for bloodwork.. he didn't get seen, so I had to drive over to the tiny town to the east of us and get this done. There isn't anywhere to get this done in our tiny town. The bloodwork lab is next door to their tiny hospital. (They have 4 beds in their emergency department.)

I ended up having a nap. Having a husband who can't remember what to do can sure be exhausting sometimes. I think a lot of it is emotional.
