FFB, so glad you're able to enjoy your day off.
Gma, I hope you have an encouraging vet visit.
I'm finally back home for good today. My favourite guest priest took the service today, and we had a good chat over coffee afterwards. I met JV (the manager of the retirement complex where DF E lives) and she I voted me to their VE Day celebration tea this afternoon. I explained I would have to bring Jude with me, as there wasn't time to take her home after her appointment and then drive back to the retirement complex, and she was fine with that. Jude's appointment went well, and she has lost another 5 grams (I think that's around 0.2 oz, but at least it's in the right direction!
Tea was lovely, and very traditional - cups of tea (in cups with saucers!), cucumber sandwiches, fairy cakes and scones with clotted cream and jam (with the cream on first as we're in Devon!! Yes, this really is a thing!
Afterwards, I made it back in tim.to get to the post office on on our community shop before it closes, so I was able to drop my parcel off. I'm now sitting in my front garden enjoying the sun, with another cup of tea. I think I'm going to try and clean at least some of the fridge before Waitrose deliver.
