Oh, excitement upon excitement! I have received my first Old Age Security cheque, so I know for sure how much it will be, and I received my access code to get on the government's retirement web site, to apply for my pension. There's no chance of getting enough to live on, but I could cut myself down to either part time or casual/seasonal work that would help so much.
Thank you for starting us off, trissie. Have a good day at payroll.
WTG on getting that path cleaned up, kittykatt. Wishing you success in battle getting Freddie ready for the vet.
Bama, I hope that your toothache plant cures them and doesn't cause them.
That sounds like a nice trip for your dh, helia.
The sun sets about 8:30 here. I think that we make it to 9:00 pm by the solstice.
I'm glad that Stella seems better, Lauralind.
Hi, L.Ann. Your dinner fits right in with this week's theme, LOL.
Thanks, Bama. You have gotten so much done already. I have just dropped Germane off at the groomer and I already want to go back to bed.
Thursday
Texted db
Cleaned up after dog
Brought dog to groomer and actually arrived on time
Picked up mail–exciting stuff!

Re: Tagliatelle Thursday @ TDD - C&C
Congrats Dogged. Sounds like the same system as here, not enough to get by on by itself.
Apparently you can chew a leaf and it causes numbness and or tingling so not sure I want to try that. Right now it’s tiny so will have to wait and hope it grows.
To do:
Kitchen
Tada:
Up, Bible, weighed, fed, inside animals fed, dogs out and in, floors spot cleaned, counters cleaned, sink shiny, pets scratched, emails deleted, d2s, litter scooped, water bowls filled

You are wise, Bama. These natural cures were based on generations of trial and error to find out how much is too much.
I had a breakfast of rice with mostly green beans and mushrooms. Some other vegetables mixed in.
Found some mojo in the bottom of the bowl. On to Round 2!

I’m decidedly unwise, but very blessed. I’m in a local women’s group and someone offered rootings so I asked for some. You eat so well. Are you vegetarian? I need to work on getting in more vegetables and it’s a struggle. Off to check the bottom of my bowls now!

Listening to book club book
, “Everything is Tuberculosis”, I don’t do well with nonfiction so it’s a struggle.
To do:
Sand walls and fill holes where needed
Tada:
Up, Bible, weighed, fed, inside animals fed, dogs out and in, floors spot cleaned, counters cleaned, sink shiny, pets scratched, emails deleted, d2s, litter scooped, water bowls filled, fridge boogie, grocery order placed (the empty cat food bin was a good reminder lol), msgd dh to help me remember to pick it up this afternoon, planner, dw unloaded, Wfd is probably beef and broccoli meal in freezer, general wall dc in living room, foyer, dining room.

I am waiting for that one Bama! I like nonfiction audio for the car because it is easier to stop than fiction.
Do you listen at regular speed or do you speed it up? I usually listen to audio books at 1.5 speed so they go faster.
Pasta is our bocce night meal, dogged because both DD32 and Little Bit will eat it and I need them fed super early…. By 4:30 since bocce is at 5.
1-listen to book podcast about summer books
2-FACE

LAnn, I forgot you could speed it up lol. Had to go check, I have it on 1.2, it got me through a chore so all good. Where do you listen? I had subscribed to Spotify so I could organize my music and was pleasantly surprised books came with it so I didn’t have to purchase this one. I was buying all the the club books and realized I will never look at most again. What podcast? There are so many I can’t pick any.
I’ve heated up leftover pizza and am taking a break. Bbl.
To do:
Lunch
Water - 52 almost down, 28 to go

Re: Tagliatelle Thursday @ TDD - C&C
Hello, everyone!
Enjoy your free day, Helian!
Thank you for the tip, L.Ann. I never realised audio books could be sped up - I sometimes listen to one when I clean my kitchen.
Bama, I had never heard of the toothache in plant before, and it's one of those things I sincerely hope I will never need!
Dogged, such good news about your DBro. Has dear little Germane recovered her equanimity yet, and forgiven you for the groomers? (I'm guessing she wears a muzzle there! Unfortunately there's no real equivalent for cats. I have seen photos of a few things people have tried, but my one question is, how do you get it on in the first place and survive? (Not to mention taking it off again!
)
Laura, I'm glad Stella is better. Our vet has a new computer system, and at the top of the screen is a banner where important alerts go. On Freddie's record, there is a bright red box, with the words "This Animal Bites" in bold black text.
Embarrassing, but it's for the best, as safety at work is soooo important.
It's been a good day. Church was very peaceful and calming. Freddie was actually reasonably cooperative about getting into his carrier - I managed to trap him in the hall, where there is nowhere to hide.
And that's where to cooperation ended. He hissed and growled at the receptionist, swore at the nurse and threatened to attack her as she carried his cage out to the back office to be weighed on the big scales (he doesn't come out of his carrier to be weighed, as we'd never get him back in it again,
we just do the maths afterwards). We then had a chat about his up coming appointment for blood tests, and it looks like he's been allocated the same vet as last year. I'm relieved, as she listens! Fred's sedation protocol is also being copied onto the news system, so everyone knows what he needs to ensure the doesn't attack anyone!
When we got back, Freddie on headed for the food cupboard and then all was forgiven.
I didn't get a nap, but I did have some time sitting quietly and reading. I've also powerwashed the car and watered the pots, so I'm reasonably pleased with today's achievements.
DH is back, having had a successful trip, so that's good news too.
Enjoy your free day, Helian!
