I'm not vegetarian, Bama, but I don't have meat at every meal. Or every day. I offset that healthy breakfast by having a serving of French fries as a snack after Germane and I got home, LOL.
I heard an interview with the author on CBC Radio, and it sounded so interesting! You have inspired me. I'm going to check if my library has it as a downloadable audio book.

Any reason for pasta is a good one, L.Ann, and that sounds like a good reason. :)

Thank you, kittykatt. It really is a relief to have it done. Once he recovers from the operation, he will be in a lot less pain, so that is a lot to look forward to.
My innocent and wrongly maligned Germane was so good for the groomers that they forgot to call me to say that she was done. Normally, they call right away and I can hear howling in the background. Today, she hung out nicely with the other dogs. Mellowing in her old age, LOL.
Hooray for a successful Freddie visit to the vet. Good boy, Freddie.

Hi, Peaches

I did two of my errands and just didn't want to do any others.

Thursday

Texted db
Cleaned up after dog
Brought dog to groomer and actually arrived on time
Picked up mail–exciting stuff!
Spiffed myself
Went bra shopping: it was a bust. Nothing appropriate.
Went to bank to deposit my OAS cheque. The bank rejected my card, so couldn’t.
Went home.
Picked Germane up from groomer.
Used the same card successfully, so there’s nothing wrong with my card.
Brought my happy girl home and gave her treats.

I use the library for the majority of my books and all of my audiobooks, Bama. You can get audiobooks and books for your e reader from Libby using your library card. Our library also is hooked up to Hoopla so I do books there too. I get lots in regular book form from the library. I like that I can put them on hold and just pick them up when they are in. I just use a random free podcast app. I listen to From the Front Porch and What Should I Read Next for book recommendations. What Should I Read Next also puts out a fall, spring and summer new book reading guide but you have to pay for them. The weekly podcasts are free. I am still tenth in line for Everything is Tuberculosis, Dogged. I thought it looked interesting and it is only 6 hours which is definitely my sweet spot for a nonfiction audio book! I have found that I can speed most of them up, kittykatt. It depends on the narrator as to how fast I can listen.

Hi all. Hmmm. I was just going to check in and go for my walk with Casper. It's raining was just starting to drizzle when I got home. I'll just put on warm stuff. I doubt it will do much and it's not very cold. Casper is going to beg if I bring him in. I've had coffee and snack. Ds put supper on already. I can help with the rest when I get back.

My library estimates that I'll get the audiobook in 26 weeks, L.Ann. It's part of a group of libraries, so we get it from whichever library has the shortest wait list.

Casper is so different from Germane, Lauralind. I'm getting ready to take her out because it's NOT raining.

Haha yes. Well I normally wouldn't but it was sprinkling. A few little showers but he doesn't care. It's me that would avoid it if I was going to get wet. It smelled so fresh like spring rain. Peaceful. Mostly.

I've put roast potatoes and carrots and a few mushrooms in the oven to go with the roast . Hopefully enough we have lunch.

Unfortunately, it wasn't really a free day today. I'd like to have one of those sometime. Perhaps a week from Saturday? I just didn't have things on my calendar beyond my work out appointment and visiting Mom - but I had lots to do. Hello everyone!! I'm too tired to greet you all individually, but I'm glad you're here.

It's been a full busy day - and I'm tired. I've spent the evening on payroll, but I can tell I'm not thinking well anymore. I'll post my list, do 1 lesson in duo, update health apps, and then go to bed. I didn't get to prepping for class tomorrow, so I think I'll need to get up early to do that since I have a coffee date 9 - 11-ish.

Main Goals for Today:
1. Visit Mom
2. Work out with AS
3. Exam Prep - tweak AR and sent out; send out AIR; tweaked IR
4. Email reply to cousin J

5. Start change of address cards for Mom - very late with this
6. Dinner: peanut chicken, rice, roasted broccoli
7. Follow up with students eligible to take the exit test.

Next:
- duo
- update health apps
- go to bed

Later:
- payroll: update gradelink
- progress change of address cards for Mom
- walk as well?
- payroll: prep for AAS D11
- update goodreads
- register Mom for patient portal at NH Dr. practice
- buy baby card?
- duo
- update health apps

TaDas!
- up; weighed self
- coffee
- email deletions + weather website
- emailed friend EP re: possible summer get together
- emailed cousin J
- some qt
- visited Mom; dropped off yogurt for snacks
- s2s and self care
- squeegeed and wiped down shower
- reclaimed kitchen
- load of darks: w d f pa (for dh as he travels)
- work out with AS 12-1
- lunch
- emails with NH re: transportation
- emails with Mom's PA @ NH
- filled out info for med transport (I think)
- payroll: lots of communication with AC (payroll - supervisor kinda and friend)
- payroll: AR Exam tweaked and sent off for review
- payroll: sent follow up messages to eligible students re: exit exam tomorrow
- dinner: peanut chicken, rice, roasted broccoli
- after dinner clean up
- said good bye to dh
- payroll: AIR Exam reviewed and sent off for review
- payroll: IR Exam tweaked (still need to update AK before sending it out)

Good evening, all 🌙
Doggedly, you heard John Green? That’s cool. He and his brother are on TikTok and can be interesting to watch. He narrates the book and is easy to listen to. Hope you and LAnn enjoy the book. We read another book of his, “The Anthropocene Reviewed”. One nice thing about the club is after we read the book we have an author zoom meeting where he takes questions and talks.
It’s good to know you get treats in, Dogged!
LAnn, we are so rural I can remember, not all that long ago, getting excited when our small library started offering to get books from other libraries in the same county if they didn’t have it lol.
Laura, roast sounds delicious.
(((Helia))), hope you can get a me day soon.

I can’t remember what I posted as my last tadas and I’m not looking it up so let’s just say I did some stuff. ;)

Good night. Sweet dreams.
♥ Wake each day expecting good things to happen! ♥
