Mystery, I have thoughts on this and bet helia would too, as we each consider our daughters and their artistic lives, including how those bills will get paid. My dd26 left a classic art gallery job and one of the cliche reasons was comparatively small paycheck in light of the education and experience she has. She went with an established design firm that could afford to pay her better, even though it didn't offer as much creativity personally. She's had some frustration with that, but, in the long run, as she's made the job "her own", she's found she can carve out opportunities to be creative now. If, one of these days, she or my dsoninlaw have some unique wave of artistic (and popular) brilliance rush over them, she will be well-positioned to promote/market because she's seen so much of the business side of art. He is more financially comfortable as a graphic artist with 8 or 9 years behind him at this point, but keeps up a sideline of music album (or tape) illustration.

I lost most of my conga opportunities today to finding out I needed platelets again, and it was quite a wait until an appt was available. HRH stayed with me for half the day, and ds "spelled" him at 1:30. We got home after 5 and I have gotten to very little except a quick stint in the LR.

It’s Saturday already but of course I’m still up. Ta-da for today — I vacuumed master bedroom and bathroom and I s/s the bathrooms. Dgd and I fix some cleanup in kids room. Oh — and I changed the sheets.
She spent all afternoon at the preacher’s house, playing with preacher’s dgs7. He lives about 45 minutes away but he and Dgd are great friends.

It is a big struggle for me to get my own routines done when dgrands are here, but I’m trying to figure it out.
