Good morning!

I have a business meeting later this morning -- our weekly meeting on the larger of the two projects I am working on. I am hoping I will get something to do. Both projects have been back-burnered for different reasons, so I'm mostly left twiddling my thumbs. I am supposed to have a document to be working on, but the expert who is drafting it has been away at a conference. I had been thinking the meeting was at 10:30, but it is actually at 11:30, so I have time to peek in here & to get some wash started.

Washing dishes is one of the things I need to do, Cathy. DH did not do them last night. He had been doing them before bed, but lately, he hasn't been. I suppose it's only fair that I should do them, since he does the cooking, but he doesn't rinse or stack them, just leaves them in the sink, so it seems like so much more work to me. I miss our dishwasher!

I'm sorry the news seems to be getting worse, Rose. Hopefully those upper cabinets are OK.

Lauralind, you and LadyM will have to compare notes. As for me, I am lacking in the green thumb department, but I always enjoy hearing about others' gardens!

Can it really be so long already since your remodeling, Twins? And how neat to have a teenager interested in genealogy.

blessed, I hope your mom is becoming a better patient.

I hope this week is better to you, Nancy.

Now to the laundry -- I left a load in the washer last night, so that is a priority.

Have a pleasant day, everyone!

Thanks for all the well wishes...

I have space to put everything should I need to unload my upper cabinets. What I don't have are containers to put all my stuff in. My dinning room and extra table are filled with my pantry items. Will need to think about it when the time comes. Most of the upper contents of the cabinets are glass, like crystal, drinking glasses, bowls and the sort..Might be a good time to declutter as well.

Thinking of Harriet and Blessed as well. Hugs to you Nancy!

We now officially have a new accountant!! He hopes to get our taxes done as soon as possible, even though there are 2 looming deadlines for businesses in the next 5 weeks but he hopes to get our 2023 returns done ASAP. His cost is 75% less than our previous accountant!!

Good morning!
I've seen people drive on their winters all summer.
We don't change tires seasonally here so I have no idea if my year round tires would be considered winter or summer. #Clueless

I'm enjoying a slower paced day where I have less demands, more available time, and quiet moments to think. Have I mentioned that I love summer break? There are 71 more days of summer break, and I want to acknowledge & enjoy each one of them.

This morning I tinkered with using voice to text in Onenote to capture my random thoughts. You know those moments when you remember you need to do something, but you don't write it down and tell yourself that you won't forget.....but you do forget and the thought is gone? Yeah, trying to capture those random thoughts as they go flying through my conscience brain.

LadyM there are also "all season" tires. In Canada some vehicles have "all season" like dh's F150. I have a Focus, and part of the deal was a "free" set of winter tires on rims, so that's what I have. Dh's truck has 4 wheel drive.

I feel like I have nothing to do. Clean pots and pans and large utensils are all away. It's raining out. so I don't have to water anything outside.

I've been working on picture albums.

I slept poorly last night so I will probably try for a very short nap. I hate to, might mean I sleep badly tonight, but I'm just dragging.

Nap did not work, I wasn't able to fall asleep and remembered I'm supposed to go to the cleaners for dh today. So off I went, and while out, went to Lowes for additional soil for my raised beds. Also got a basil plant, finally, to put out. The sun is out for the moment, although I had a few drops of rain hit the windshield, and it looked like rain for a few minutes. So I didn't wash the car either.

Our dinner is grilled chicken thighs, corn on the cob and green salad.

I guess Wednesday looked WEARY for me. No more bragging about my ta-das. :)
I took the dgrands swimming for a couple hours, then took them home. I came home and took a nap!
I haven’t talked to dmom today, but expect to take her to the shoulder doctor tomorrow.
Dgs may spend the night tomorrow, but for tonight, I’m by myself. That’s kinda nice, and kinda sad.
Tomorrow is another day.

Sorry that I do not have a chance to CUOP.

good question How have the days looked... ..

Tuesday was a hard day that wore me out physically and emotionally, too, and ended up with both ds and ddolder here at the house until late. Then ds called again even after that.

Wednesday, today, looked like an easier one, but there hadn't been much sleep, so... .. Physically, the nurse practitioner says we are at a good stopping place with some problems (difficult dressing change because of low platelets) and her team will address that Friday. She says, "this way, if we get into a pickle, you're here with us". I still got emotional with her, though, trying to explain why I got emotional the day before, lol. Just so tired, I'm like a toddler who needs a nap.

I'm checking in now because schedule means sleep is so "off" and I'm trying to eat something and get some water in me. Arising at 4:00 a.m. in the morning. Ddolder will drive me to scan by 6. The appt is so very early that it's possible she can get me home and still try an almost-normal day at work.

Friday, HRH and dd26 will tag-team, both being present for the dr's appt in the middle. Neither will have to (or want to, lol) be with me for the dressing change, but will be present for office visit. Don't know how long I'll have to stay afterward but I do have the weekend off.
