Three Cheers for Thursday! PWYC
It's one of those weird weeks for U.S. residents because of the holiday on Monday. What day is this anyway?
It's Three Cheers for Thursday! What Three Things can you do to cheer on this gloomy week here? Name 'em, do 'em, and cheer on for Thursday!

Re: Three Cheers for Thursday! PWYC
I thought yesterday was Tuesday. We didn't even have a holiday this week.
Thanks for starting us off today Twins' Mom!!
A major chain store that started with fur trade in the 1600's is closing this Sunday forever. A friend of mine wants to go see if there is anything for a good deal, so I will be gone for most of the day. The mall we are going to is an hour's drive from here.
Dh is fending for himself for supper.

Re: Three Cheers for Thursday! PWYC
Morning…
Harriet, very gentle hugs for you today. Just hang in there and tough it out. We are all praying and rooting for you and hope that you can find some time to get some sleep. Soon all of this will be over with and you will be able to rest and get back to your normal life.
I have three good friends who have been through much of what you have. So I have a good idea of how stressful this can be.
speaking of stress. My living area, kitchen, living area dining area are all covered with plastic at the moment, and the major part of the disassembling. My wall starts today. That means the sheet rock will be cut and actually see how much more mold I have. Yesterday they took out my bottom cabinets and the mold completely covered all of my sheet rock and it’s some places it’s just totally black. The fella who’s doing my cabinets, looked at it and said this has been going on for years. My contractor came over late after after Joseph was finished and sprayed all my mold and covered it with plastic. They will remove all of the sheet rock that has the mold on it today.
Sweetie and I are going to the tile store to pick up tile for my backsplash and then to the paint store. We’re trying to stay out of the house for as long as we can today.
Thinking of all of you hope y’all have a good day. Be back later.

Re: Three Cheers for Thursday! PWYC
I woke up to a rain alert this morning, although I think it's ended by now. Saturday is supposed to be gorgeous, clear and sunny, so there's that to look forward to. I think we'll be at the river with dfriends. They're tired of the unsettled weather here as well and want to have the boat out.
Weather permitting I want to spread the raised bed soil I bought yesterday, in a fit of enthusiasm that waned quickly, and spread the zinnia seeds.
The second thing on my "three things" list is to workout today, again, after nearly two weeks off.
And the last thing is to run the roomba.
Not hard things, that's in addition to the other things I need to do:
-Cemetery
-HOA
-routines
This has not been a productive week, it's felt unsettled with the holiday and travel on Monday. And it's been a prime example of a week with little outside things to do, so you'd think I'd be getting stuff done.

Re: Three Cheers for Thursday! PWYC
Good morning, all!
Got up earlier than I would have liked, but I wanted to be up and dressed before the contractors arrived. Today is just carpentry, so the nest is still there, but I have not seen the robins in it. I also needed to run DD to the school early; she wanted to go to the pre-K graduation. She has made special origami creatures for each of them and written cards. Got a text from her saying she was glad she got there early; the lunch lady was not there, and the milk delivery arrived, so she had to accept it, and the door for the parents to come for the graduation was locked, so she had to unlock that. I hope she was not wrong to accept the milk delivery; they should only need milk for today, if that.
My three things, Twins, should be laundry, laundry, and more laundry, but I doubt that will happen.
I thought Canadian Tire had bought Hudson's Bay Co., Cathy, but I guess that was just the brand and not the stores?
Hugs for Harriet and Rose for very different reasons.
I am going to make myself a matcha latte in hopes that it will wake me up. Then I need to check into work; at yesterday's meeting, someone said they'd have something for me today.

CI ~ Thinking of Harriet.
Slept in a bit till 6:30
Had good dreams.
I've had coffee and picked up yard & moved hoses for mowing when it's not so damp.
Journaling is mostly done did some of that on the deck.
Some tasks to pay attn. to.
I was feeling over whelmed and am some better about all the gardening stuff that needs attn.
Normal for this season. My break has helped.
Did a walk around the block.
Picked up weeds I removed.
Neighbor is ready to mow at 8:00 I was going to but dew has stopped me. Done.
I'll rake up some seeds instead. Yd. work day here happy to feel up to that for sure. X
In a break & hydrating now.
Watered in front.
Summer clothes swap out has been happening.
-----
Deciding what inside tasks to move to later in the day.
Like changing sheets.
Waving to everyone.

Re: Three Cheers for Thursday! PWYC
I went upstairs, still fighting donwannas. I think it's the gloomy days we're having.
I did a little bit of straightening up on my stamping desk, and at the genealogy desk did some digital filing in Evernote. I had over 300 unfiled notes in Evernote when I came home from Virginia early in April. I'm down to 156now. "Filing" involves tagging the names and places, etc., sometimes going down the rabbit hole, lol.
Need to get ready for workout in less than an hour. I'll shower after I get home. I think we'll go out to eat tonight.

So many heartfelt words that speak of our concern and support. Never doubt that you are thought of all through the day.
I was up at regular time but wasn't able to do my normal routine. I tried going for a morning walk but quickly returned to the house as we were surrounded by thunder/lightning. I am counting it as accomplishing the AM walk because I did as much as I could.
Today is DD14 birthday. She requested to bake and decorate her own birthday cake, so I took her to purchase things needed for that project a couple days ago. She started working on the cake this morning. The 3 generations of the family will gather this evening to eat pizza, have birthday cake, open gifts and celebrate DD14.

Re: Three Cheers for Thursday! PWYC
Had my lunch and just like that the day is half gone!
Took a break quick cold shower revived me.
Had to rinse out clothes I had on for a.m. stuff.
It's windy out here this afternoon.
Next few /
Try on rest of summer things to see if that still fit yea 2 of three jeans fitted.
Took the one to the basement where I have the not fitting ones ready to bag up cut up or do some thing with.
Empty out drawers with summer things in and put winter sort things and put away, things on hangers have been sorted and moved.
later on /
dishes
sweep kit. & dining room
vac. Liv. room
I can do this just begin.
2-3 min. time slot clear of desk to paint x
basement walk about x
15-20 min. task winter items. sorted & tried on rest x
Sorted my bed is still too full to sleep in but made progress.
Now to shuffle items on the bed in the piles that I am keeping.
Not keeping ones are in a basket to go down stairs and bag up for later to donate / toss.
Will need another round for that.
Lots of decisions made that is the good news.
Rest break now processing.
Good news I nearly have my steps in fetched things from on the deck rail & that had blown off.
Ddoggo came out for a potty break when I did that.
