TADA's -
** The template for June journal pages has been created. I will wait until tomorrow to finalize it.
** The excel worksheet for June calendar and tracking has been created. I will be tweaking it but 99% of it is ready for use.
** Decisions made about June habits that I will focus on.
** Pancakes, bacon, hot links and hash browns cooked for breakfast
** Asparagus ferns have been tied up. They are over my head high and full.

Yesterday we went shopping to put hands-on various refrigerator models. I had researched online and selected what I thought I wanted. Ha! I was wrong. The moment I saw it in person I changed my mind. Back to square one in my selection process. **sigh** I did find two similar models at different stores so I decided that was the refrigerator i wanted. I came home to do the purchase online only to discover that the price increases about $900 if you want the refrigerator in white. **POUT** That sent me back to more research to make sure what I was seeing was correct. WAAAAAYYY too much time and mental focus was spent on the refrigerator decision but it is DONE and ordered. It should arrive next Saturday.

I am sorta OVER things breaking and forcing me to shop. I detest shopping. I am perfectly happy with whatever I have as long as it works. I have been repeatedly pushed out of my comfort zone because it has been one thing after another breaking over the past month.
My phone quit. (8 years old)
The stove stopped working even a little. (Who knows how old. it was here when we bought the house 10 years ago)
SUV quit. (10 years old)
Refrigerator quit (10 years old)
Toss in DS16 surgery that wasnt' covered by insurance into the mix.
Thankfully we save our penny's in case times like this happens but really......I am so over things breaking, quitting and forcing replacement.

LadyM… I know what you mean!

Picking out my kitchen tile was as stressful as it comes for me. Most all the tile I looked at has gray in it and I hate gray. Thankfully I had a piece of my counter granite with me so that helped Sweetie has a good eye for color, but he couldn’t help me do to his condition.

Then I had to pick out my grout color along with some other things. Fortunately the serves girl was able to help with my decisions.

And o top of that my a/c quit last night. The repair guy is on his way. It’s pouring rain. We’ve been in a drought condition for quite some time, so I’m glad to see it. Plus it helps to keep the outside temperature is cool.

Not sure what the rest of my day is going to be. After all this is over I’m gonna be in need of a vacation. Remember once the work is done. I still have to put my house back together. I’m going to hire a cleaning crew to come in and clean my house because I don’t feel like doing it.

RR - you have waaaay more going on than I do and are handling it better! FACTS!

I just came inside after enjoying spending a few minutes in the garden playing with the plants. It is bright sunshine, 74F with almost no wind. Wonderful! Perfect weather!
Then i saw our weather forecast...SEVERE RISK UPGRADE SATURDAY! Severe storms are likely Saturday afternoon and evening. A few tornadoes, golf ball size hail and 75 mph winds are possible between 4PM and 10PM
Well poo. That doesn't change the fact that we have beautiful weather for now though.

I'm down in my back this morning. I've lain on the floor flat for awhile, perhaps some relief? I'm not sure. Took Naprosyn. Walked the dog a lap.

I think we're planning to go the river today. No rain in forecast but apparently Canadian smoke from wildfires is obscuring the sun somewhat.

Good morning! Actually, great morning to see Harriet's news! Woot! *doing a happy dance*

Re your church woes, lucylee, my DH wonders what would happen if the congregation stopped paying the pastor -- assuming that's how the pastor gets paid?

Speaking of my DH, he is setting up to plaster a crack in the living room ceiling. It has been interesting watching him prep. He had to move some furniture to get into the corner. Then he had to set up to prop the plaster up around the crack. This involved stacking my mom's old record cabinet on top of a file cabinet (DH had a shock when he tried to lift the cabinet; he didn't realize it was actually full of records), two milk crates on top of that, a board on top of the milk crates, then, holding up another board, an old doorway chin-up bar, which has the advantage of being adjustable in length. Nice to see his resourcefulness.

Hugs to LadyM on everything breaking at once. And I hope that nasty weather avoids you.

Rose, I think you will deserve a cleaning crew!

Sorry to hear about Twins' back. No fun.

I can see the summit of Mt. Washmore! It will involve washing DH's dress shirts (my nemesis!), but hey, the summit is supposed to be the most difficult part, right? Besides, now that school is out, dh is mostly wearing polos to work, so the shirts will stay washed!

Got a good start on sorting through the papers I had scattered about yesterday. They are now sorted and in a neat pile. I don't remember which of you suggested using sticky notes sticking up as labels for each stack, but thank you! Now I have to actually file the papers. Bleah.

I also need to work on a grocery list. We are not yet scraping the bottom of the barrel, but it is getting close. Fortunately, we don't have any social obligations this weekend -- just church tomorrow.

Dh and I had an unplanned talk this morning. He has promised to help more inside the house. I also told him that he has only taken the garbage out twice in ten years, although I did say he was working for the first 5 years and I didn't mind doing it when he had to leave early to go to work. He did the pots and pans after I loaded the dishwasher today. He also went to the grocery store to pick up one thing for what he would like for supper. (Salmon casserole, he went and bought a can of salmon.) We also discussed how he freaks out about the floors being dirty, but he never sweeps the floors. He knows where the mop is, and the broom is right beside the mop. I sort of feel bad like maybe I'm nagging, but I feel like he should be helping. He mentioned that I don't spend a lot of time watching tv with him. I pointed out that when I do sit beside him to watch tv, he's playing games on his computer and has been doing that since the day I moved in over 10 years ago and I know we have had this conversation before. Whether he remembers this conversation tomorrow will be something I will find out tomorrow. He also said we just talked to his mom a couple of days ago when in fact it was Mother's Day the last time we called her.

I made a baked rice pudding and we have both had 2 servings after it cooled down a bit.

I'm not sure about dh, but I'm going to go read.
