So nice you could talk to someone in similar circumstances, Nancy. It's good for you and her I'm sure.

When dh and I walked the ddog we ran into D, dfriend M's dh down the street, and he said they had cleaned the rug on their screened porch in prep so their dgd's upcoming visit. Dh told him we were always available to help move furniture if they need it. Dh had colon cancer more than 10 years ago and has nerve damage from radiation and has been depressed and seems more frail lately, so D texted dh to see if he would help with furniture replacement, and then we all had drinks together. And dMillie got to visit too. I love our neighbors. They also loaned us their rug cleaner so dh can clean our screened porch rug.

Marinating lamb for the grill, and starting p.m. routines.

I've had a quiet day. Spent some time upstairs on genealogy, transcribing genealogically important parts of a court case. Then cleaned up stamping desk a bit and piddled with finishing a card that was half-done. It's still half-done but I'll get there.

Tomorrow I workout again and have the HOA annual meeting at 6 p.m.

I successfully avoided a nap this afternoon. I went to the grocery store because we forgot some cream of mushroom soup when we shopped this morning. I kept myself busy. I also know I won't be in bed until after 10 tonight. Duck Dynasty, the Revival is on at 9 p.m. We have been watching some of the old shows for the past few days.

I've gotten both litter boxes deep cleaned. I also did all the laundry and 99% of it has been put away. Just have a couple of dh's tops to hang up and 2 pairs of his pants to put away. Bedding was done today.

We had a huge pork chop in mushroom gravy and some mashed potatoes. I also bought a baguette for supper as well.

I've been doing some cross stitching today as well.

We had a nice visit with dd26 and dsonil this afternoon. They brought Thai takeout. We did eat together - the first time I've seen their faces without masks in months. Dd is super determined to bring no viruses, etc. She gave Tobias a pedicure, lol.

It was nice that they came for a "day after birthday" visit because everyone else came yesterday, even dbil. At one point, ds left so that a couple of his nephews could feel more confident popping in for air-hugs. That was fine, but I wish we could have chatted with each one as long as they wanted.

Lovely call from HRH's duncle92, who sang to me. I said, "you don't have to try to sing", and he said, "I'm not trying, I AM singing." He's a charmer.

Cute little gifts. Outside my back door, a pretend-ironwork stake with a beagle points to the doorway now, reminding me of my ddad. It has a hook but comes with a sun-powered little "lamp" already on it for lighting up a bit after dark. I wish it would hold a plant basket, of course. We'll see about that next year. HRH gave me a bracelet of "waves" with a card that says something pleasant about having been through so many ups and downs.

Tomorrow he and I must leave for 3 appts by 9:30 a.m. I also have a script to pick up, but if he doesn't feel well enough for another stop, I'm not going to tell him and will ask someone else.
