I read a chapter in my retreat book.
I have not been doing the audio Bible for a couple of weeks it was a gruesome part and got to me. Sigh.
Lovely afternoon kids next door are at the pool at their granny's up the street.
I sat outside with my feet in the grass for a bit, after watering a front yd. bed now in the shade.
I have a plan for dinner.

Nice that you got to be so book-oriented today, Cathy. I took a rather hard-to-read non-fiction with me to sit while HRH saw dentist. When he came back out to reception area to pay, etc., I was deep into it. He said I didn't even notice he was there for a while.

The shoes - so far, so good. Wish they didn't have white soles/bottoms. Less practical. But it was all they had.

I'm frustrated because a small bag of toiletries is missing. I was so sure I saw it after I came home from hospital. Nail clippers that are just right were inside and now I have a problem with a thumbnail and really wish I had those. Can't find the same online now and am also sure if I actually order any, mine will suddenly appear.

I sure do KWYM about embracing the curls, Rose. Scrunching gel is my only hope in the summer season, and mostly, my hair is up in a clip.

LadyM, boy, I wish I had that child-rearing guidebook too. I definitely failed in teaching DS to clean... and apparently ddil's mom missed the same lesson, and after having one or both dgrands here for the most part of the past week, I can see a little bit of why their house is so messy. Good gracious... there is a "restaurant" in progress in my kitchen -- menus and play money and notices taped to the cabinet doors... and dishes in the sink because I haven't had the time or energy to take care of them. There are Legos all over the floor in the den... and all the floors need vacuuming and the bathrooms need cleaning, and I'm about at my wit's end as to when I will get this stuff done. PLUS -- I really need to type up the minutes from Monday night's meeting before we have NEXT Monday night's meeting... sigh...

So y'all can see why I've been AWOL a lot of the time. Today, DS picked up dgd at about 10:00 a.m. I went back to bed and y'all, it was 2:00 pm when I woke up!!! I've been taking a lot of Imodium the last few days and maybe that is making me a little drowsy? Otherwise, I don't know what to account for it, except the extra mental stress of having DGD underfoot the last couple days. I've got to find a new way of doing things but I don't know how long it's going to take. Here I am, posting at 2:00 a.m.
