Today has turned out to be a very pleasant, sunny 25 C / 77 F. So I've had a very nice time in my front garden, which is mostly in the shade, while I wait for the postman. Having lunch there now, then I'll start on the kitchen, while that's also still in the shade. I want to water pots in the back garden, so it makes sense to leave that until the temperature drops a bit. And also my walk has been postponed until later on.

β˜€οΈGood morning! Busy day here already.
Thanks for the cleaning product suggestions, I’ve added clr and liquid barkeepers friend to my list, I can’t find sparkle anywhere unfortunately.
Trissie, thanks for the start. I had forgotten the bridal song had words. Clever save by the actor regarding the swan.

Kittykatt, the park sounds lovely.

Sweet dreams, Dogged, Gma until you return.
Dogged, sorry the laundry room wasn’t available as you needed.
Gma, hope your sister can be more of a help. Hope ddog is doing better.

French, I was going to wish you luck in a new or improved job but I like kittykatt’s idea better so may you receive a financial blessing that allows you to do as you please.

Nothing going on here but trying to get into a productive routine. First I am going to read and scroll a bit. Then…

To Do
Feed everyone
Wipe down counters
Spot clean floors
Eat
β™₯ Wake each day expecting good things to happen! β™₯

Yes trissie your dh is now in my time zone. Probably 2 12 hour days drive south of me.i think. Actually maybe Oregon is not 12hours south of Vancouver.

Frenchie I'm not sure you will get back to see this bit I think trissie has a point. Your work place is not a peaceful atmosphere and if you don't want to get out of bed for it maybe it's time to start not in a hurry but looking for something else? And closer would be good. Your mental health is important.

It's hard isn't it kittykat to keep routines when dh is around. Way to go finding something that works. I don't see your home but I feel like I need to take housekeeping lessons from you. And somehow my dh. He just says he doesn't like cleaning so he doesn't make a mess. Most of the time he's not exaggerating lol.

I feel atm like a terrible housekeeper. I honestly think I'm recovering ok from the burnout stage. But right into work crazy busy season and my body is just tired. Plus I am trying to stay focused on freight and count but seasonal is impossible with a bunch of 20 year old that just don't finish the job. I get home and I just can't do more than get food on the table and dw up to date. Nothing is ever done all the way. I have to start from the closet for organizing and decluttering but I get sidetracked as gardening is more fun and I guess priority right now.

Anyway enough I need to find the positive. I don't mind my job if only we could figure out a better way to enforce better work habits. I'm feeling better. Couldn't be managing my dog and work and gardening just a few months ago. And I get to spend a few hours with my lil j today. πŸ’• . That means I should get on with it.

Priority list

Babysit
Get boxes out of the store before ddil comes
Basic routines
Kitchen clean all the way
Freeze strawberries
Redo driver's license
Vet for food for stella
Get baking potatoes and prep for grad
Break for a bit

Today's tada list

Soak in tub instead of shower
S&s both baths and reboot laundry
Tidy laundry room and master bedroom some

Empty and reload dw
Finish tidying kitchen all the way
School run (he better go today)

Getting here late - and so much has been going on!

That's a clever dancer and a funny story, trissie! We visited the castle in Germany associated with Wagner many years ago, maybe close to 20. (I can't remember how old the kids were.) It was an interesting tour.
FFB, I think it's normal to dislike parts of one's job, but as others have said, I don't know how normal or healthy it is to dislike one's job enough that one doesn't want to get out of bed and go in. To what extent you need to enjoy your job to thrive and flourish in life is personal for you but maybe worth considering. I hope there are spots of joy in your day today!
Gma, right now all my mom's clothes are in one chest-of-drawer set in her room. She doesn't have many, but I think I'll move her off-season clothes to my house this winter. She's going to need more warm clothes, and they'll take up space. We live about 50 minutes straight east from Windsor, Canada. Our closest Great Lake is Lake Erie, about 55 minutes -- although, I've never gone to that lake. We mainly go to Lake Michigan or Lake Superior - sometimes Lake Huron.
Kitty, that park sounds like it would be a lovely place to walk in nice weather!
Lauralind, glad you get to see the baby today! It does sound like you're generally doing better, but co-workers who don't finish a task do not sound helpful. Then, you don't know if you need to finish their tasks as well as your own.

I got sucked into youtube world a little too much yesterday, but not too badly as these things go. I met with K, S2, and J! I got in a short jog and made a trip to WF. I emailed Mom's PA and called the dental office; they don't know when they're coming to the NH but will call me back.

Today: Nothing on my calendar, but I have a lot to do; I've been using my unscheduled time to goof off. Dh returns tomorrow afternoon, and I want to make some progress on my piles of books as that will make him happy! I also need to start exam prep.

Jogging needs to happen first today. It is already 72*F, and the forecast says we'll reach 87*F (30.6C), which is really hot for us.

- JOG the arb hill
- s2s and self care

Most frustrating part is they always say they finished the job but I always find empty spots on the shelves. Need to find an answer to the age old question of teaching accuracy and completion and work ethic in kids who look at you like who do you think you are telling what to do. I know how. I could be all of their mom. And I have been there all of 10 years. Harder yet when every day is a question of who's not coming to work this time.

Now I need to get started. Soak felt good. Dh leaves in 10 min. Routines. A few errands and figure out ddil timing.

lauralind, enjoy the time with the baby today! I think you are running yourself too thin and housework is just the thing that can be put off the easiest when there's not time or energy!
helia, did you end up getting that extra dresser for DMom's room, or not?
Bama, we have very hard water here and what I find works well is consistency. Any kind of limescale toilet cleaner, but applied every day, will keep it shiny! I still clean toilets daily as part of afternoon routine, one of best FlyLady's ideas :-)
kittykatt, you have some nice weather today!
Dogged, the cleaning part as compensation was meant as "activity not engaging the brain". My inner brat is still bratty, but she thrives in clean surroundings!
gma, that will not be much sleep! Will you be able to take a nap later on?
L.Ann, argh about the popsicles! Was anything else accidently defrosted, will there be an unplanned cooking session in your future?

Work's done for the day! DS is still not back from the school field trip (their train was delayed) and DBD came from school, threw her backpack in the corner, grabbed her bike and went out with her friends. So much quiet now! :-)

Trissie I am trying really hard to not take on too much and now I'm questioning whether I should have taken on dad's garden... life just has a way of adding up. Baby time will be good. He's a pretty content little guy for the most part but we'll see if grandma can keep him that way.

I need to think errands. Make sure I get all the important ones.

Priority list

Babysit
Get boxes out of the store before ddil comes
Basic routines
Kitchen clean all the way
Freeze strawberries
Redo driver's license
Vet for food for stella
Get baking potatoes and prep for grad
Break for a bit

Today's tada list

Store for boxes and maybe a couple baby toys for dgs
Driver license place
Milk and potatoes couple things from wholesale
Vet
Home and find out ddil timing

Soak in tub instead of shower
S&s both baths and reboot laundry
Tidy laundry room and master bedroom some

Empty and reload dw
