Helia, I’m right there with you on the paper/book piles although I doubt mine are as interesting. I’ve been sort of “winging it” but forced to search out meanings, a daily guide would probably be a better idea, it’s hard to know what interpretation is best. I’m open to suggestions if you know of one you like.

Wednesday = trash day

To Do:
Eat something and log it

Feed everyone
Wipe down counters
Spot clean floors
Eat breakfast
Wipe down bathrooms
Scoop litter boxes
Declutter a little
Log meals
Planner
Dishwasher unloaded
Declutter coffee mug cabinet, got rid of one and organized the rest (some are seasonal or gifts from kids I can’t get rid of but don’t really use)
Laundry - dh’s uniforms folded and put in his area, dh’s shirts moved to dryer, washing rest of dhs clothing (he refuses to put them away so leaves his hamper full of clean clothes while piling dirties on his closet floor so presented me with a ginormous amount of laundry, 2-3 weeks worth, when we got back Thursday which is why I’m washing so many loads this week, reminders don’t help and I can’t tell clean from dirty in his areas, I do think he is beginning to show some signs of dementia, not sure how to deal with that right now)
Clean out refrigerator
Toss some stuff in deep freezer, oldest date was 2005 on some candied cherries

Bama, you have found Your People. The only reason that I don't have things from 2005 in my freezer is because I wasn't living here then.
For the other, (((hugs))) to you. That's a hard one to deal with. Lots of good experience to draw from here, though.

You never know, helia. It could have been stacks of books waiting to be read until it reached a point of Read 'em or cede 'em.

I'm going to lie down and put my feet up for a bit, and imagine where I'm going to hang that load of laundry...

Hung the delicates to dry
Cleaned up after dog X 2
Put on a pot of coffee
Phone visit with db
Put away dry dishes
Started washing dishes
Wiped down the inside of the breadmaker
Washed some more dishes
Spiffed self
Brought Germane to groomer
Germane pooped in the car as soon as we pulled out of the parking lot
Brought her to groomer anyway
Bagged the poop
Stopped at animal hospital to stock up on her canned food
Brought up back seat covers to be washed
Started a load of laundry
Emptied out clutter from dog crate
Brought dog crate and hand truck to the car
Got the crate into the back seat and managed to fold up hand truck and put it in the trunk
Picked up dog from groomer
Used up the rest of my strength fighting with the hand truck to unfold
Brought dog, hand truck and dog food upstairs
Stopped at laundry room because I can see a load in the dryer and another one started in the washer, so I am holding people up.
Moved my washer load into the dryer and started it on air.
Brought Germane etc to apartment
Gave Germane a treat

Bama, I generally like Lifechanges series Bible studies (Navpress); they include some thoughtful questions - and some bland ones too, imho - but I take it all. I also like any study by NT Wright. He's a pretty academic theologian but he has written some study guides for lay people; I've done some of them before -- I don't know if he's written one on Romans. I always use a study guide of some sort in my QT. I think you can find Lifechanges and NT Wright studies on Amazon. I also like IV Press studies (my dd29 and friend S both work for InterVarsity Christian Fellowship), but I'm not sure you can find them on A****n.

Closet - cleaned out bra drawer and sock drawer, tidied some floor area, dcat Lily had knocked over tool box and everything fell out so put it all back together, put shoes away

Reorganized a food shelf to make room for the new flat of dog food and put it away
