so far:
-I did mom's meds for the week ( we have decided to put meds and other things away)
dh fed the dogs

mom was so so cheerful after her weekend with dd's.
dd older spoke to caretaker to see that tv isn't used so much and that she gets a walk up down the block in am. adding enrichment time will be up to dd younger and I and hopefully caretaker
-I helped mom get out of bed - with caretaker. caretaker is giving her a very good sponge bath, right now, and will be getting her dressed.
-I have breakfast ready for her
-emptied dw and refilled it and turned it on. we had my brother stop by for a couple hours at dinner. dd older cooked the best salsa and made a huge mess in kitchen - a 2 dishwasher full load or a lot of hand washing of dishes ;)

time to start watering in yard then s2s
it is supposed to be a hot one today.

I'm feeling in an in-between state on dh working. This week there's Juneteenth on Thursday so he's going to the office three day I believe. Next week he's out of town two days, and and will work two. And the following week there's only 30 June, his very last day.

I always take a slow Monday morning. I only have my workout today and possible guest tonight? I need to do two returns this afternoon after workout.

Walked three laps with ddog this a.m., the last was with dfriend M.

I need my brunch next, also need to move things around in bathroom and bedroom and start the roomba.

Good morning, everyone!

Prayers going out to vergerswife for her DD and whole family.

Congratulations to Nancy on her new great-grandson!

Graduation party Saturday was very nice, though before we could go there, we had to clean up a mess from water in the basement. There were only a few puddles remaining, but based on some cardboard boxes, it may have gotten to almost an inch in spots (our basement is not quite level). We got to the party before dinner and cake, so that was good. The weather (chilly and damp) meant no one was going in the pool, but many games were played, and everyone had a good time. One of the highlights for me was when one friend, who has recently gotten a prosthetic leg, went up and down the stairs from the family room to the living room (half a flight — split-level house — but still).

Memorial service for friend’s DM was also nice, but long. She had been active in many things, and the service consisted mainly of eulogies given by people who knew her in each of those categories, in addition to her children, best friend, and a member of her extended family. There were at least 10.

Had an appointment today with a clinical pharmacist to see if she could maybe get the insurance to approve Ozempic, which they’ve denied. She thought chances were 50/50 on getting them to approve a similar med (Zepbound, maybe? We talked about a few) that is approved for treating sleep apnea. And she mentioned programs from the manufacturer and hospital that could bring prices down if we have no luck with the insurance.

Appointment this afternoon with the psychiatrist. We will decide whether to start me on a trial of another ADHD med now or wait a month. (The complicating factor is that he is finishing his residency and will be taking a month off before he starts his practice, so if anything comes up, I would be referred to an unknown colleague.) I am leaning towards starting the med now, so long as we have a plan in place.

Well, I’ve been nattering on long enough! Wishing you all the best of days!

Good morning

Blessed - Thank you for the start today.

My day is off to a good start. DS16 came to chat with me before he left for work and then he has called me 4 times to talk already this morning. I know this phase of him needing me as a sounding board won't last forever. I remember when DS51 used to be this way during his teens and 20's until he met his wife. Then she became his person, and our frequent conversations gradually reduced.

What is happening in the kitchen today includes - catfish fillets, hamburger patties, mashed potatoes, and green salad.

We will leave around noon for DD14 appointment with counselor.

While in the city we will be taking DS16 pickup to repair place and leaving it. Having multiple teens with us in the city will most likely result in eating out. They are always hungry and eager to eat. Our rule is who ever had medical appointment gets to pick the place to eat. DD14 for the win! .......Ms Doesn't-like-change is predictable where she will want to eat and what she will order. It will be interesting to see if DS16 will be able to influence her to pick somewhere different. GF seems happy with any place and will find something to eat that she likes.

DS16 has called me two more times while I was writing this.....

mom super lovey lovey usually means a really nasty part after - it played true and lasted for an hour. She is better now.

I really think I have to let the helper go - I told her not to have mom walking with the walker without someone else helping. again she did that =she closed the curtain - I was right there and the helper wanted dd younger, who was in the kitchen getting herself breakfast, instead of me - I was standing right there. I had told he, earlier, that I was going to help her and just call me - she totally ignored me - she likes using dd younger - she is so good with mom and is a very pleasant person.

I told her that dd younger is doing work and helped all weekend and that I was there.

I also told dd that she will go around me and ignore me if she feels that dd's are the ones to listen to.
