Re: Mississippi River Monday @ TDD - C&C
Hello, everyone!
Gma, Matilda's dental procedure will hopefully be on Wednesday (assuming the dental machine is fixed /replaced!). She is currently on meloxicam once a day to reduce the inflammation and pain of her gingivitis. Of course, she will have to fast Tuesday night from 10 pm (although she is still permitted water), and as she likes to "graze" overnight, I don't think this is going to go down very well with her. But, it's essential before an anaesthetic.
You sound very well prepared for your trip, CL. Stratford is beautiful, and if you're interested in the Beatles, Liverpool has special tours (my Dnextdoorneighbour C took one last year and had a great time). Matilda would not appreciate being shut out of the bedroom -she would lost likely yell, scratch the carpet and the door, and hurl herself against the door, so no one would get any sleep. She's usually pretty good and knows when it's time to go to sleep (it took two nights when we first adopted her to "train" her to sleep quietly on the bed at night and not rampage round the house -she often sleeps on a pillow) but she doesn't no like feeling hungry at night!
I'm glad your work day was uneventful, FFB.
Sending finding vines for Terri's keys , Trissie.
And for your DGranddaughter's phone, L.Ann!
Helian, as your Sundays are so very busy and scheduled, could you pick another day to unwind and have your Sabbath rest?
WTG getting your chores done, Bama!
Laura, what award did your DS get at school?
Dogged, I hope the rental car pick-up goes smoothly.
Waving to anyone I've missed!
I had a very nice time in my garden, and then tackled the housework upstairs. DH is now snoring, and Jude is on my lap. Matilda is reminding me it's time for bed!

Re: Mississippi River Monday @ TDD - C&C
Uneventful payroll is maybe not bad, FFB. Nice - two bowls of garden fresh peas!
Did you get the Real-ID DL, Bama? Where do you log your meals?
Good night Kitty. Glad you got to your garden. That's an interesting idea; it would need to be a weekday for me bc Saturdays are sometimes as/ even more scheduled than Sundays. I'm going to think on that.
Next:
- some qt - even though it's almost 4:45 pm
- payroll: finish draft of AR Exam
- lights --> dryer and drying rack when ready
More done:
- lights washing
- kitchen reclaimed
- bed made
- cup of tea made --> ready for some qt

Re: Mississippi River Monday @ TDD - C&C
Hooray for found tax info, Gma.
I'm going to visit my dbrother in Quebec City, trissie. I'm a little late with my spring visit, because he had to go to the hospital in Montreal for an operation and wasn't sure when.
trissie, I take it as a sign that you are a good parent, that your child is comfortable with coming to you and telling you that she lost her keys, rather than hiding it because she's too afraid to admit it.
L.Ann, the wonderful wonderful thing about lost phones is the phrase "Alexa/Siri, where's my phone?"
Hi, Peaches
Thanks, helia. It all went smoothly. I have the rental car, and I took it shopping.
Have a good sleep, FrenchFly. I hope that tomorrow goes smoothly.
I wish that I could offer you some of my weather, Bama. We got hit with normal summer heat today, after such a cool spring. I would prefer the cooler weather for driving the dog. On the other hand, I'm just as happy not to be packing the car in the rain. Maybe I'll keep what I got.
I'm glad that you got to spend some time in the garden, Kittykatt. Have a good night.
I confess, I took the rental car for a little shopping spree. To Pet Valu to get good quality pee pads with the sticky part on the bottom for our trip, to the dollar store for a spree, and to the grocery store to get gefilte fish to bring to my dbrother. I picked up a few groceries while I was there.
Now to bring the first load down (cover for the back seat and tarp for the dirty trunk) and to bring up the dollar store purchases that I couldn't carry.

Re: Mississippi River Monday @ TDD - C&C
Dh will be home any minute so will wait and see whatβs going on with him before I continue.
Helia, I went for the old style dl (mine expired and earliest star appt was August) but the system kicked me out, apparently same name as someone else, so had to make appt (a lot sooner than if I had just made the appt go figure) and got the Star ID.
The app is Lose It!, dhβs dr recommended it for him so I use it too to keep on track.
Kittykatt, is today your anniversary or next Monday? Happy (early?) anniversary!
Dogged, I would prefer cooler weather too (idk how I ended up in a warm climate) although Iβm enjoying the storms as long as nobody gets too much rain (flooding in some states on the news is sad).
Tada:
Up
Got dh up and off to work
Bible
Wipe down kitchen, dining room, living room, foyer, 2nd bathroom
Scoop litter
Feed everyone (except birds and new cat on moms deck)
Weigh
Get dressed to go out
Apply for new dl
Back home - chg into cleaning clothes
Eat breakfast, snack and log
Load and run dw, shine sink
Mail
Planner
Laundry - wash my clothes, dry whites, put away 1st load of my clothes
Vacuum
Unpack thrift buys and put away

Re: Mississippi River Monday @ TDD - C&C
I hear you, Bama. In Canada, complaining about the weather is our national sport, but we have reached the point of saying "If I'm not on fire, I'll take it."
I enjoyed my little shopping spree, but I'm feeling it. I'm going to take an Ibuprofen and lie down for a bit.
Monday
Cleaned up after dog X 2
Put on a pot of coffee
Put away dry dishes
Spiffed self
Picked up rental car
Went to pet store to get better pee pads for the trip
Went to dollar store because I have been wanting to for a while
Went to grocery store and got gefilte fish for db and some other groceries.
Wrestled with the parking app to pay for visitors parking. It wasnβt as bad to deal with as it has sometimes been, but it seems to me that the cost has tripled.
Brought up as many groceries as I could carry.
Freed ddog, celebrated with globs of dog food and much rejoicing.
Put away the groceries
Ate a falafel
Packed tarp and covers onto the handtruck
Brought all down with Germane to lay out in the rental car
Realized that I had forgotten the back seat cover so I canβt set up the crate. Dβoh!
Spread out the tarp in the trunk of rental car
Put the pee pads and dog covers in
Brought up dollar store bag, hand truck and dog

Re: Mississippi River Monday @ TDD - C&C
Oh yes, I also think of Tom and Huck when crossing the Mississippi. I love Mark Twain.
But Bama -- I am not good with bridges either! As a child I would hide my face when we crossed bridges because I was always scared. My mom thinks this may stem from an event when I was too young to even remember. We had a wreck crossing a bridge over a railroad track near my grandparents. This was before car seats, and my mom said she was holding me and just squeezed me tight, which is probably the reason (she thinks) that I have had so much stomach issues (especially nervous stomach) all my life. No one was really injured in that wreck, but it must have been very memorable to my young parents. Bridges over large bodies of water are especially nerve-wracking, but I think I have driven across Lake Pontchartrain going into New Orleans, which I'm sure you know is a very, very long bridge. At least it is not a narrow bridge.
