Bama - I too get bored when I go for walks and running is not in my vocabulary. I used to be scared of everything but not anymore, my motto is "Do it scared" and I generally find it is not as scary as I imagined. There are a few things I can not do (climb be in open heights is a big one) but I did walk the transparent bridge at the Grand Canyon and I was fine because I knew there was no way to fall - that was exhilarating after I finally ventured from the door. So I am getting better because I do it scared.

OK Trissie - now I must go back to yesterday and see what happened.

Helia - I was gluten free entirely for 10 years - can I help you plan some dinner menus. I know how to make most meals gluten free. For instance foods with noodles - there are some amazing gluten free noodles (Banza brand is my choice) they have good protein as well. Err on the side of underdone because once over done they can get mushy but check every 30 seconds after you short the recommended time by several minutes.

Well I do have a UTI but I also think I passed a stone, for me they come hand in hand usually. I saw a great Nurse practicianer at our CVS pharmacy, did a urine test and got my antibiotics and I have taken 1. I am on Cystex for the pain and urgency as well.

We are totally packed 2 hours before we were planning on leaving - that is amazing!!! I am writing up an emergency access plan for my son in case something happens to us and I am checking it. I believe he can get into everything from my computer if needed. I trust him. I know that sounds morbid but I think it is important. I do this everytime we travel together.

I managed to get everything done on my list pretty much as well, we will do a quick tidy before we leave. I am actually more worried about the dog, we came home from breakfast and he was clear around the corner taking himself for a walk. I opened my window and said Maximillian! What are you doing? and he marched as fast as he could around the corner to home, my husband wanted me to get out and chase him home.

Germane did something like that the other day, CostumeLady. I don't hold on to her leash too tightly because normally she is stuck to me like glue. She's a little dog and very aware that her safety in a scary world comes from her human, so she's motivated to stay by me. This time, I dropped the leash and she took off. Straight for the path back to the building, she powerwalked her way back to the door and stopped out of reach of the electric door and waited for me to catch up and pick her up. Apparently, she wasn't enjoying her outing and wanted to get back to her nice quiet bed and snack, LOL.
I hope that your kidney stone stays put and does not interfere with your vacation.

LOL@ trissie's back up career, trissie and Bama!

Waving to trissie, L.Ann and Peaches

I have reached that pre-travel state of SHEness where I am spinning around in circles going "Oh but-- and Don't forget--"
My theory is that if I spin like this fast enough, I can achieve lift off and just fly myself to Quebec City like a helicopter, but so far I haven't achieved that.

Break time. Stopping to eat a sandwich. Bonus: used up the last of the luncheon meat.

Tuesday
Cleaned up after ddog X 2
Put on coffee
Covered the dw and put it away
Brought out coffee and snacks for hotel room
Put away the food shopping
General tidying
Texted db to see if he wants me to bring falafel–he does
Gathered outerwear, started packing the handtruck
Gathered toiletries: mine and Germane’s

Still to do:
Electronics
Cleaning supplies
Food for me and Germane
Rain gear (last minute in case I need to wear it)

Thanks CL! We've been cooking entirely GF for 10? years now for dd29 who has celiac disease. So, we've figured it out and have some awesome recipes we like a lot, though we're always open to more. For this weekend, the issue is more that we won't have the bandwidth to cook, and a simple sandwich and fruit kind of lunch isn't great to serve to non-GF friends - mainly bc of the GF bread. We also need time to pack and leave for 2 trips back to back on Sunday, including camping. Glad you got the UTI sorted before you leave.
Bama, I have to keep my mind off the discomfort of running. LOL! I listen to something - but I also enjoy looking at the nature around me. I have several podcasts I try to keep up with a bit. I sometimes listen to music. I have listened to audiobooks in the past, but sometimes I want to pay attention better to their content/ storyline than I can when I'm running. Nature: I usually run along the river in our city that is forested in some areas, and I get to watch the swans (2 species - Trumpeters are my fav), ducks, geese, sometimes loons. Plus small mammals - and there are usually people there too. Interestingly, I run faster to rock music and slower to books. Unless the book/ podcast gets me angry/ upset -- then I run the fastest! :D
Ooh did that spinning work, Doggedly?
How is Little Bit liking the swim lessons, L Ann?

Somebody push me! :P
Thunderstorms rolled in so I told myself I could watch a Brenda Gantt video on fb (she shares older recipes and garden tips, etc) and fell asleep. Then I started watching taking heads on tv and while they are saying absolutely nothing I keep thinking I will miss something so can’t possibly vacuum right now. Lol at my so called logic.

Trissie, we all expect signed copies of your first novel but won’t make you add your address lol. You indeed have many talents.

Helia, I totally relate to doing things faster when angry/upset. Thanks for the tips. I’m trying to walk more. For now it’s around the house and down around the chicken yard as something got one of my chickens so I walk the dogs there to mark everywhere and try to keep wild critters away.
A friend of mine has swans and they are beautiful to watch.

Hi LAnn. Mmm enchiladas tonight.

Dogged, you need an Inspector Gadget hat to spin you wherever you want to go.

Hi Peaches. Those darned cats and their issues.

Lol at dogs walking themselves. As long as I’m holding a ball, I can go anywhere and Beau will tag along without the leash. Otherwise, he has to be on leash. Thumper otoh is hard headed and runs toward anything so can’t be trusted off leash.

CL, maybe I have vertigo? My fears seem to revolve around heights, elevators, bridges, fair rides… idk if it’s a part of my getting older. It didn’t used to bother me but now I get lightheaded. I still have to do some of the things scared, bridges are a way of life here, but I’ll pass on roller coasters now.
I might look for banza noodles re protein. Dh’s diabetes is getting worse and carbs are evil messing with his blood sugar.

Tadas:
Bible
Feed pets
Eat and log lunch, skipped breakfast
Wipe down counters and floors
Wet spot by AC, is it leaking again or cat p? 🤷‍♀️
Wfd
Laundry in progress
Dogs crated as one, probably both, got in the trash and spread it all over the living room
♥ Wake each day expecting good things to happen! ♥
