Re: Tigris River Tuesday @ TDD - C&C
So exciting: I got my pension information. While it's not enough to retire on, according to my calculations I should be able to cut back to two days per week. That would give me so much of my life back. I would be able keep up with housework even at my slower pace, and have time/energy to get together with friends. It is a terrible, terrible job market to be trying to do this in, but this gives me hope nonetheless.
LOL, I called my db to tell him the exciting news and he thought that I wasn't arriving until the weekend. He's happy that I'm coming earlier than he expected.
My last break is over. Time to pack up the food and head out. Have a good week, all!

Awww how sweet of lil bit, LAnn. What a good, innocent heart she has.
Yay on less payroll, Dogged. Safe travels and have fun making memories with your brother.
Tada: I ate some Oreos with a Diet Coke. Not anywhere near my goals list. May just give in and start over tomorrow.

Hello, everyone!
Safe travels, Dogged! And that's good news about your pension.
Little Bit sounds as though she is having fun as well as learning a life skill, L.Ann.
I hope the antibiotics kick in soon, CL. It was our 35th wedding anniversary yesterday, thank you for asking.
Trissie, I think you would be a very good author - I look forward to reading your completed novel!
Thank you for your kind words, Helian. I don't jog, but when I walk, my speed definitely depends on my surroundings. ATM there are lots of wild flowers to look at - many of them have five petals for some reason!
Bama, my energy levels are influenced many the weather too. I have several jobs which would be just right for a rainy day, but then I don't have the energy or the inclination.
Hi, Peaches!
It's been a very good day. I did get to read a little in my garden before it got too hot. I did housework during the heat of the day, and have been back out in my garden again this evening. It's nearly 10 pm, and it's only just thinking dark. I just love this time of year!
I need to go to bed now, as Matilda on has to stop eating by 10 pm and fast before her dental procedure tomorrow. She has been shit in the bedroom for an hour or so with a dish of food, so I'm hoping she's taken advantage of this, or it could be a short night!

Re: Tigris River Tuesday @ TDD - C&C
Have I posted yet today? It's been that kind of a day where I don't even remember...
FFB, the list I posted is not what I have been dealign with this whole year - All that has just been the past 6-8 weeks!
Doggedly and CostumeLady, have wonderful travel times! Doggedly, I hope your current employer will let you cut back, or that you can find something that you can enjoy doing those 2 days a week you want to work.
trissie, did you find the missing items? I'm sure that anything you would tackle would be a success.
kittykatt, my dfBS loves her kitties, and I think of you when I see her with them. Reading in the garden sounds simply idyllic!
Peaches, big list as usual
L.ann, I'm glad Little Bit is learning to swim - it's a necessary skill. And how nice that she enjoys her friends at the pool as well.
laurlind, I hope you can get a little relaxation today.
helia, sometimes the clock and the weather just don't work together well, do they
Bama, Some days we just need a cookie! I hope the storms gave you just the right amount of rain, and no anxiety.
That's as far back as I can scroll.
I jsut got a call from the NH that my mother is complaining of being "hot"! That is totally our of character for her - seh had been complaining of being cold ever since they turned on the AC. She did have a bath, maybe that heated her up? I asked them to check her temp - it's 98F. No fever for sure. I also said no tylenol and recheck her temp in 2 hours. They hadn't checked her temp before calling! They also said she is confused, wants to go home where it is cooler and she can sleep in her bed. I talked to her, and told her that when the PT say she can go up steps, I can take her home, but for now, I cannot get her into the house. That is total truth. The city has removed half her driveway for a sidewalk project, and will be restoring it, but right now it's gone so I cannot drive the car to get it anywhere near the house.
My day started with a trip to hospital where dfBS left yesterday. They had forgotten to send home one of her meds, so I had to pick it up. Then we visited a little. I returned home in time to make a little lunch (which was actually "breakfast" since all I had eaten was a glass of OJ and a small piece of toast.
I had arranged for someone who calls herself a professional organizer to come to my house today. She sat and together we went through one box, and put it into several piles - this pile goes to the basement, this pile to the office, etc. And put away a few of those piles. Then my mother called, and the tenant called, so our time was cut short. Pretty much we just did things I already know how to do, and do when I get time. She saw how my plans get disrupted! I paid her what she asked me for the time she was here.
While with mother, we went for a walk in the park - I walked slowly, took breaks, and returned in half an hour. I hope that turns out to be OK for my foot.
Tomorrow dfBS has a zoom meeting with her pulmonary nurse practitioner, early in the morning. So I have to get ready for bed, then in an hour call the NH to see how mother is doing.
