Well it’s 90 degrees with feels like temp of 97.
Dew point is 72, although humidity is still in the 50s. I don’t really understand the difference but weathermen say the dew point is very important in regards to how uncomfortable we feel.

The porch is washed and swept, free of bird poop and yellow jacket nests.
Porch is approx 40’ x 8’, so I am worn out.

Thank you ALL for reassurance re: my runaway mind.

Blessed, I hope things go well for y'all with your dmom now. I certainly think your dd was right to tell this caregiver that y’all could handle things.

Cathy, we would eventually had to have a ramp, I think, but one of the only requests dh had when we built was that we have no upstairs. Oh — and he wanted more than one water heater and big closets.
My high priorities were the porch, with a swing, a bay window, an open carport, and a fireplace (which has never been used, LOL!)
There are a few things I might change, but overall, I am still very happy with the plan I sketched out when I was 23 years old. I’m sitting on the porch swing right now, watching the man cut hay across the road.

Well, I just about got too hot that second go-round. I did finally spray that snake stuff with the water hose. All around the back yard and most of the front yard. It's supposed to have a scent that snakes don't like. I don't know about snakes, but I didn't like the smell, and I normally cannot smell anything!
At this point, I am thinking I may just go to the post office in my "work" clothes, and pray I don't see anyone! I am so tired. I may just wait till closer to bedtime and take my shower, go to bed, and then I won't have to get up quite so early in the morning.
I do need to take dgs' clothes for church to his house. All his church clothes are at my house because most of the time, he's here on Saturday night.

I'll need to water my new little trees next week. How do you know how much to water something like that? These are very small trees, about 3' tall, thin, but they are all putting out good leaves. And my two hydrangeas are so big and full of beautiful green LEAVES, but no blooms so far. They may need water next week too.

Also, what do I need to do to refinish the wood on my swing & rocking chairs and the cane (?) seats of my rockers? They need cleaning, and I guess refinishing, but I want to make sure I don't use something that will come off on clothes when I sit down.

I asked DS16 friends what his consequence should be for speeding. They are waaaay more creative in suggestions of memorable punishment. The final decision hasn't been made. I do enjoy dragging it out and making him sweat all the possibilities.

I have more than doubled my steps since yesterday and still have no hip pain. I have made many adjustments to how I position my body in the garden and walking. These changes require me to give total focus while in motion to check and double check my posture and movement. Hopefully it will soon be my new normal way of moving and walking so I can quit thinking about it. Three days of being pain free is super exciting to me.

It's really good that dgrands are here so much. I get really teary, really easily, when I'm left alone.
But I did one good thing for ME tonight -- watched My Fair Lady. I had recorded it on DVR recently, and tonight was the first chance I had to watch it. Do y'all know what? Dmom thinks that was the first movie she took me to. I can't believe 4/5 year old me sat through that. It's almost 3 hours long! But I enjoyed it tonight.

I also went to town, got supper, and went to the post office in my sweaty clothes, including shorts, with my pale legs unshaven. I decided if I ran into anyone I knew, I'd try to pretend I wasn't me. LOL -- read on --
This is maybe an urban legend, but my dfil told it for the truth:

A man in town, we'll just call him John Smith, a nice, friendly, successful businessman, known well to my dfil, was a little too friendly with some woman. John's wife got wind of this affair, and decided she would catch him in the act. He and his lady friend were having dinner in a nearby town, maybe 30/40 miles away. Wife goes into the restaurant, confronts them, and he says, "JOHN SMITH??? I don't know any John Smith!!! Lady, you have me confused with someone else!" He totally denies that he is himself, and in anger and frustration, his wife leaves the restaurant. John and the other woman, somehow leave quickly also, and he gets home BEFORE his wife! He's sitting there in the living room, acting as if he's been there all night, when she comes in the door.
They were married till death did them part, probably 50 years or more. SMH...
