Made great progress on my notes getting to the other planning yea!
Put away the warranty stiff after DD helped me move desks finally
putting things where they go.
So excited to find some thing I've been looking for when I put that stuff away! Happy Dance!
Zone work room this month is the spare room.
The bed it full and I've been doing it by small zones and getting progress wa hoot!
Great for when it's too hot outside to do much.

We had the new helper - what a difference! She could only stay until 12:30 today but she will be here tomorrow at 8:30 am.
I was able to go outside for a while, I was able to be with the OT with mom and do dishes and laundry!

Unfortunately when mom went to nap - at 12:30 - I went for. quick nap at 1pm - I slept until 3:15 I feel terrible about that. my mom still doesn't want to get up and I will give her another 15 minutes. I wasnt' that tired and am surprised I slept so long.

DS16 has requested that we don't paint the new sheetrock wall in his bedroom. He is enthused about having his friends sign and decorate it using permanent markers. Reminding myself to pick my battles.....this is not one that I am picking. Eventually the wall will get painted but first it might be turning into a highly treasured memory building experience of DS16 last year of living at home.

I understand about picking your battles - In years from now, I am sure your ds will laugh about drawing on the sheet rock as a form of decorating his room. this will be a good memory

I I let my son paint his room when he was a teenager. His walls were blueberry and his ceiling was a dark gray. I gave him a budget and for his carpet and he had to go out and find it and buy it and then we installed it he did a great job with it.

My former husband took paint for the bathroom and splattered it in all different colors sounded gross, but it looked terrific and everyone just loved it.

blessed, it was probably relief from worry, lots of times when adrenaline and concerns got you down. You saw that things were better, and you relaxed - that's what I think, anyway.

It's been an up and down day here. I know it seems like a small thing, but I got all my personal routine things done all at once, and that's a victory. S2s, shampoo, nails clipped, etc. And at the same time (like I always used to do) gathered laundry and put it in next. So, my nightgowns, for instance, will be dry and nice this evening to choose between.

Tomato sandwich today was a little closer to July, lol. Not great but I did decide to have a large one.

Ddolder came over and visited. She says my middle grand14 harvested his first squash today after he got home from volunteer work at library.

Oh, jury duty - DangerBoy did get picked the other day and has been going all week. Tomorrow will be closing arguments, charge to the jury and deliberation. We know nothing else, because, as would be expected, he is a model juror and he's not discussing a thing.

Ddolder and HRH have both admired my hair. It is somewhere beyond duck down now and curling. Previously salt-and-pepper, it does seem to be choosing just one color, but not the color brown. It seems to be leaning toward the color I would call, "my mother's gray".

You guys are much braver with walls than me!

Forgot a cat story -

HRH walked over to ddolder's the other day and it was pretty hot, so he decided to sit and rest at his halfway-mark of the walk, on the porch alone, on the glider he and ds had put together for me 20-something years ago. The family was out. There are pillows to lie back on and he dozed slightly, awakened to their barn cat on his tummy, head snuggled into HRH's beard, purr-snoring. This is especially interesting since HRH has only seen photos of Pearl, never introduced, but she was fine with him being a comfy bed. He said she was so light on her feet that he slept right through her jumping up, climbing onto him and choosing his beard. Good thing he had seen photos, for sure.

Awwww... what a sweet picture, Harriet, HRH & Pearl snoozing on the porch. And BIG WTG to you on getting your morning routine all done! That is a BiG thing in starting the day right and feeling better, IMHO! Also, nice to hear you're getting compliments on your new hairdo!

LadyM, I don't know that I'd be brave enough to let DS have freedom like that on the wall, but I hope I would. That sounds like such a neat idea, and he will love looking at their notes all through the year(s) until he moves out. And of course, you will remember to take pictures before it is painted over someday. (I say "of course" because you are always so good at thinking one step ahead!)

Hmmm... thinking cap Thursday??? Well, my thinking has done me no good today at all... and I may need to put this in J&C...
Mine has not exactly been hiding, Cathy, but it is certainly not doing anything productive. * Did your dh get back home okay?

I got my hair cut, went to the bank and got $ for dgs' birthday card (will not give him his presents until Monday when we have his party here.)
Took DGD to tumbling, met ddil there and swapped kids... and DGS13 and I have just been chilling out here at home ever since. I fell asleep in the recliner earlier, but woke up and sorta caught my second wind -- did my bedtime routine and exercised.

Blessed, I am so glad your new helper worked out so well, and it is wonderful that you got such a long nap! Obviously, your body needed it!

WTG, Nancy, on all your work and finding lost items. (I still have not found lost poetry.)

Twins, YES... still hot here... we had a thunderstorm this morning, around 4:00 a.m., but I slept right through it.
