Today's the day to tally our ta -das! Count not what yet has to be done, count those that you have done: TA DA!

Ta da! I'm showered at 8:15 for a 9 a.m. haircut! Wonder of wonders!

Good morning!

Yesterday's trip to the city turned into a 7-hour marathon of two appointments and several errands accomplished one after another. DD14 said her bottom hurt from sitting in the waiting rooms for so long. I asked where we should eat and was surprised by both DH and DD14 saying they didn't want to go to restaurant they just wanted to get out of the city and away from all the people. DH seems to get more confused when over stimulated by being surrounded by strangers & noise. DD14 is a home body and prefers to not be around anyone other than us & her friends. Our last stop was Sam's, so I bought a couple pizzas from the deli to bring home. Reminder to self….do NOT go to the city on the 1st of the month.

I bought some treats to have on July 4th but everyone voted to not wait. We declared the treats were for Canada Day and enjoyed them yesterday. :)

Ahhh..... the peace and quiet of not having a holiday today. Life is somewhat back to normal around here, but dh does have bloodwork in a couple of weeks and a cardiologist appointment in 3 weeks and a phone call with his regular doctor after that.

Thank you for starting us off today Twins' Mom! It will probably feel like a Tuesday today at least in my head.

I've been up since 5:30 because the door to the bedroom was open and the youngest cat decided it was time to go out. It was light, so out they all went. One litter box has been cleaned so far.

Now dh has decided he doesn't want to go to the party next door this Saturday. I don't really want to go either.

This is me all mixed up too. Feels like yesterday was my Wednesday off. I should work today. But it's Wednesday bible study day. My usual day off. I never have 2 days off in a row midweek.

I will post what I got done later. With any luck it will be good as yesterday that completed a few projects. Yay😀

Today does feel like a Tuesday because yesterday felt like a Monday, with dh freshly home for the week. I didn't even get it when LadyM sent me a PM, lol.

I left here at 8:45ish, got my hair cut and styled, and am home again.

Dmentee needs to cancel for today and would like to meet on Monday. Her our of town dmil had a stroke so her dh is away and she's a single mom for now. Her kids are high school age and older. I told her Monday before 11 on east coast would work while we're at the beach. Should have offered to meet late afternoon possibly. She's on Pacific time. Anyway, if I were her I'd be planning to extend because her due date is 1 August and she's researching and writing, not writing and editing.

Dh has gone for a workout and he had a haircut earlier also. Instead of the six a.m. workout his trainer asked for 11 a.m.

I'm trying to think through my plan for today and rest of the week. Lots I haven't done this week.

Does anyone want to know what it sounds like when a mason jar full of glass beads falls from a windowsill less than 20 inches down onto a solid wooden desk sounds like?? LOUD!! The jar broke and I think 1 bead broke. Ah, well. At least my back was against the front of the desk, so I didn't see the glass explode. Who knows where those tiny little glass shards all ended up. I discovered one in my croc when I put it back on. I was in the process of getting up onto the desk to adjust a curtain rod above the row of bottles. Now I am considering taking the rest of them down. Thankfully only 1 jar fell. There are 7 more up there and 5 of them are large ones.

I'm just glad dh wasn't inside when it happened. Now I have to finish cleaning up that mess.

Oh my Cathy glad you were not hurt.
I agree it would be good to take the rest of them down.
I was able to sleep till after 5 today.
Made coffee watered & then walked.
Then journaled changing that up a bit.

Had bfast.

I have sheets off the bed and in the wash now.

AntiP. / task for today ....
Painted the small desk with the 2nd coat.

Not feeling too chipper today coughed up some phlegm on my walk.
Not just allergies. sigh so another indoor day I think.
Glad I have brought up the next project to work on after I pin & hem some jeans.
Did my desk duty.
Waving to all.

I started my day with the EMT for my sinus infections. Looks like I’m gonna have to have surgery so they’re gonna schedule it now. Let me don’t let me know when it’s gonna happen. Should only be 35 minute procedure so no gauze and no black eyes.

Went to Walmart afterwards and wandered around and found things I needed. Came home with a big load of groceries and some other things and finally put them away. Now I’m gonna lay down for a while.

Cathy… I hate when jars fall off a counter and hit the floor and shatter. It always makes a mess. Not long ago I dropped the top of one of my corner dishes and it shattered. The pieces went everywhere and I was cleaning up the mess for days after. Those little pieces of shorts can high just about anywhere. I found taking a flashlight and getting on the floor and waiting around to help me find the little ones. Hope you get all yours.

I think I left a post downstairs on my computer when I came upstairs two or more hours ago. And then never posted it.

I talked to dd for awhile - it's her birthday (and her brother's!) - then went downstairs and made a sandwich before the webinar started. Webinar was great, it was on organizing genealogy records and OMG my skills are way way off. But I guess what I do works for me.

Called to get quote on window cleaning, need to also call re: getting downstairs furniture cleaned. Will do second call in the a.m.

Dcleaning lady will be here in the morning. Will talk to dh about grocery store in the a.m.

I printed the bank statement for the temple cemetery account. Going to reconcile it...maybe will print statements for the HOA account and reconcile also.

From Earlier:

Awww, Nancy. Sorry you're feeling yucky. Take care of yourself, some light mending might be perfect.

Cathy, glad you weren't hurt - yes either curtains go or bottles move to safer area!

Nice to have an unexpected day off, Lauralind, can't wait to hear your ta das!

LadyM, glad the vote was unanimous for peace and quiet of home. There are times I tell dh at Costco: "We need to go. Now." And thanks for the timely PM this morning, lol! I had sent it back to you wondering if it was some kind of signal or code, before I realized it IS Tuesday.

Well, I got busy. Decided to run round of errands today instead of waiting. So dropped off dog bed at the shelter, did a return at the mall, did another errand, and went to post office.

Took lamb chops from freezer for our dinner tonight, we have 1/2 a butternut squash and green beans to go with it, so I don't need groceries today. Perhaps, if asked nicely dh would go tomorrow, or I would if pressed, but I would have to do in a.m.

I remembered I have a live webinar to watch at 2 p.m. I'm going to head upstairs now,

And later....I've been moderately productive today. I can live with it.
