How is your Tues. transforming your week?

I watered id
n back. The time in the garden and on the deck journaling was
SO peaceful!
Bfast on the go happened.
Then walked saw a deer and some turkey
I got trash out to the curb.
class was done in two segments of time.

Can is back from the curb now.
The shed looks transformed after going it to look for items to toss.
I found a bag that did not fit before not items that would spoil thankfully! LOL!
The donations that left last month helped a lot.

During 2020 I painted the inside of the shed on the studs with
White paint I had on hand and that's transformed it and it's
so bright inside now!

Bs tanked had to have ppj for early lunch.

lucylee, stay safe driving, etc. We miss your posts when you aren't able to get by.

Today an appt with my Gen Prac doctor transforms the day, at least. 5 appts this week, so taken together, they all transform the week.

I made my skillet breakfast right after S2S and have just had time to enjoy that before leaving, so at least today I'm not going out without food as so often happens. (no bloodwork requiring fasting today)

Good morning!

Nancy - thank you for the start today. You are inspiring to me in the variety and consistency of your daily activities.

DS16 has been launched to his work after several chats. It is a fine line to balance his deep desire for independence along with his need for a little more mentoring. I’m grateful that we share mutual respect and can navigate daily challenges with minimal drama as we work together to guide him toward adulthood.

DD49 has requested that DD14 come stay a few days with her. She is going to come get DD14 this evening. I am all for them to have as close of a relationship as possible. DD49 started the summer break saying she wanted DD14 to stay with her the entire summer. Experience has taught us that DD49 wouldn't follow through with that, but we went along with it as if she would. We are two months into summer break and DD49 has had DD14 come stay with her about 2 weeks. It has been about 1/4 the amount of time that she stated at the beginning of summer break. No one is surprised and DD14 seems to handle it well. A relationship with DD49 is filled with high hopes but low expections.

I ordered a perpetual daily calendar for DH to keep next to his recliner. His biggest frustration with memory loss comes from not knowing what date or day of the week it is. He asked me several times a day what date/day it is but that information doesn't stay with him. I am hopeful it will bring him comfort to be able to look at that information displayed next to him. We will see....

Yesterday DH was doing well mentally but the moment we entered into WM big store I could sense a change in him. He does well following me around pushing the cart and everything seemed normal. After being in the store a bit, DH said he needed to use the bathroom. I was busy picking out items to purchase and pointed toward the front of the store telling DH the bathrooms were over there. He didn't move so I realized he was unsure how to make his way through the store alone. I walked with him to the bathroom entrance and then he was fine. I now park our vehicle next to the cart return for the same reason. DH wants to push the cart but he doesn't know how to navigate back to vehicle without me being nearby. 95% of our life is normal but there are changes slowly happening and establishing our new normal.

mom hasn't taken her antibiotic - she can't swallow like she used to and the pill is nasty tasting- I asked the dr. if there was a child flavored antibiotic that I can use. waiting to find out.

the helper is here and is strong and nice - I haven't walked mom yet. She is not as strong since she came home from the hospital.

blessed, yesterday you mentioned that a new computer was allowing you to be kicked off this site. Could it be that its cache needs to be cleared, or that you are using a different browser for that computer?

LadyM or Twins' may have different thoughts on that.

As far as changing a password yourself while on the site, that may be something that some of our members have done by themselves over and over again with ease, I really don't know. I frankly have had the same one for something like 22 years, lol.

To change password here, go to User Control Panel.
Click on Profile tab on the top
Then click on Account setting along the side.
That will take you to the place to put new password and confirmation.
This link may take you directly to the right place.

If you keep getting logged out, make sure the 'REMEMBER ME' box is clicked when you are logging in.
I have to click the remember me box BEFORE putting in my login/password instead of waiting until afterwards.

Life is so much easier for me with online shopping. I realize there are pros and cons to online shopping and what works for one person's situation and desires does not work for someone else.

If you are an amazon shopper, it is the semiannual time to buy things at reduced price.... Prime Day Is July 8-11. The things that I know I will be purchasing in the next few months can be bought at potentially a savings now.

I tend to buy the same things over and over, so it seems logical to buy them when the price is the lowest.

I just found and restocked jeans for DS16 and DH. Both of their jeans on hand were down to 1-2 pairs. DS16 jeans are hard to find at any price so when I can find them AND at a good price it feels like a WIN-WIN moment. I am a happy shopper today

Another day of playing school with dgrands.
Harriet, I am doing a lot of running around, but it’s all within 10 miles of my home. Most of these trips are less than 5 miles away, but I am about to take Dgd to get her bangs trimmed and the beautician lives close to my dmom.

A JOY to share — dmom went to church yesterday!!!
Maybe she is s l o w l y beginning to feel stronger!

I do appreciate prayers for ds, with 3 of them off on a 35-hour trip.
And he called this morning to say his credit card had been stolen! Fortunately he got notifications before he left home so he got that taken care of and took ddil’s card with him. But that wasn’t s always such a hassle.

I shop online most of the time, too, LadyM, but I’m not a Prime member.

Hi!

I went to Costco early. I knew there were 3 things I was after. I ended up getting 1 extra thing only because I was going past the pharmacy and there was no line up. There is a med we keep on hand that is behind the counter, but not prescribed. At Costco it is 75% less than our regular pharmacy. Now we are stocked up. Yay!

I stopped at the Burger King in the parking lot on the way home. Dh was so happy that I brought him home a whopper!

We both laid down for a short nap, which for me was less than 2 hours. I also read before the nap.

Now I have some pork ribs going in the crock pot with BBQ sauce and onions on top.

I couldn't get the antibiotic in her bc it tastes so bad - I contacted the dr. to see if their is a flavored meds that I could use - I have crushed it - used ice cream, applesauce, juice and other things but the pills are very bitter and the tastes comes through. She doesn't seem to be able to swallow them. That's a new development
