Re: Sizzling Sunday PWYC
Hi, Twins' and lucylee. We will be at 94 today with a "feels like" of 103 and humidity in the high 60s.
What's exciting around me? Um. My hair is past the pure Buck Private buzz length and getting to the length expected of, say, a Corporal or Gunnery Sergeant. Problem is, it seems to have quite the direction to it, like a baby's would, traveling around a part or cowlick that no one has seen since I turned one. So even though thick, it's soft and wants to hug my head, looking shorter. Seems healthy. I have been allowed to go back to some of my supplements, and am taking daily Evening Primrose Oil again, which is good for it in theory. Of course, it's not lost on me that the thickness came as soon as it showed up again, so maybe that's more a function of maternal genetics. At home, I'm going without a scarf sometimes. Still haven't been brave enough to answer the door without a hat. Around my face, more "pepper"; top of my head, more "salt".
Hearing the message in the online service will be next up.
Laundry will be a focus this afternoon again. Dd26 said if she could manage to get here this weekend, it would be this afternoon. But I haven't heard anything else, so I tend to doubt we'll see her.

Re: Sizzling Sunday PWYC
Hi! The fence and the patio were really wet when I woke up before 6 a.m. There is currently lightning to the east of us, but it's heading east on the live lightning map. Darn. We could use a good storm.
I have done 5 loads of blankets this morning. I only have to do the small blanket that the smallest cat sleeps on. Considering she's sleeping on it right now, it will just have to wait.
I also ran the dishwasher this morning.
Dh just woke up 15 or 20 minutes ago. He has had his coffee and something to eat.
Thanks for starting us off today Twins' Mom!

Re: Sizzling Sunday PWYC
Good morning!
We are enjoying a respite from the heat. We are in double digits for the next 3 days before we return to triple digits. IMHO, there is a huge difference in how 95 vs 105F feel. One is a pleasant temperature to be outside and the other requires monitoring due to the danger of heat stroke. It has been 16 days since we received any rain. The grass is starting to turn brown.
DS16 and GF made a big pot of cheese ravioli last night. There aren't any leftovers, so I need to get busy and get some dishes in the process.

CI ~ Up journaling & QT happened some anyway.
98* F
here is h I temps today. 66* was the low but I slept through it up at 6:30 & was already 70* here.
Considering basement activities.
No walk yet. Might just do a mini one with ddoggo.
Need to get dressed ~ rethinking church it will be blazing by
the time they are done.
Esp. in the rig.
I miss early church just sayin'.
[Missed on line church.]
Estate sale on my mind / deciding it will be earlier but still hot in a rig by the time it opens.
[Told dd I was going so I did not get a call in that time slot.]
Neck was out and had sniffles when I woke but that's better now prob. allergies.
I have meal plans for today OMM. had lunch not on the deck it's 90* at eleven outside
Music time in a while.
Waving to all.

Re: Sizzling Sunday PWYC
mom woke up late - gave her a shower - not in the shower but over some big pads and towels - I don't have a shower on the first floor yet. I can't wait until the handicapped bathroom is done.
mom is eating now.
she had her meds.
she slept a lot yesterday and all night.
things I have to do:
clean up her room - have her wash her dishes
feed the birds
wash the feeders and dog pools
dogs unfortunately love the new sod - I will put a fence around it so that they don't use it - at least for a while.
this week:
dr. appointment for mom
pt ot speech
start painting chairs
do light bulbs
talk to dd about pond.

Re: Sizzling Sunday PWYC
It's already 87 here, "feels like" 95. I was just out in the backyard tying up tomato plants from which, I've picked a few ripe cherry tomatoes. These plants are covered with baby tomatoes and blossoms and hanging over the side of the raised bed, encroaching on the yard. They always go great guns for awhile then catch some kind of fungus or something. I need to keep an eye on them.
Dh has a massage this a.m. and he's going to a movie with ds later. I saw he has his planner out and he made a "Monday" list. There's a positive. He bristled when I asked if he'd be home Tuesday afternoon because I have window washers coming, and trainer also rescheduled workout to Tuesday afternoon, so I'll probably reschedule window washers to later in the week if possible.
This is a busy week. Two workouts, a massage, window cleaners, car servicing and furniture/rug cleaning. I hope dh can find things to do also.
Almost wishing my hair were long enough to tie back. It's cropped, above shoulder length.
