Twins...Caroline Matilia Grim stitched her sampler in 1827 and was born 1814. Ann Edwards Her stitched hers in 1856 and was 13 at the time, so she was born 1843. Both lived in PA

I agree - so interesting d rose!

hi d rose, d twins, d rose, d cathy, d Nancy, d lady and d everyone!

just a quick hi HI

back from drs. mom was fin until we got there - then she started speaking Alsatian and got a glazed look. I wish that I had been taught Alsatian - My d grandfather stopped speaking English the last year of his life.

Since then - mom has just " loved" me ;)
Hopefully after her nap she will be pleasant again.
Oh she is a joy!
I gave the helper an hour for lunch while mom is so angry
got her to bed even though she tried biting me. dh helped with her legs. she did say thank you to dh for helping. so I know that she knows and doesn't know. it's not personal. it is what it is. yesterday she was delightful and had a delightful day!

I found an Alsatian interpreter out of England that I may need to use if she looses English and French.

the helper came back and mom said hello so cheerfully to her  my goodness - it's good to be feisty

RR - you are a great researcher and investigator. Very interesting discoveries.

I am going to take advantage of Taco Tuesday special again this week. DS16 will go pick them up after he gets off work.

Tootsie Pops have become popular with family again. I just ordered 100 of them. They seem to cycle through preference for various sweets.

RR, that is very interesting, those are old! Might have them appraised to see if you need insurance or a rider for homeowners?

I am tired. Good workout as always. After I went by temple for cemetery papers and talked to office mgr a bit, got caught up on cemetery news, that is, what the guy was calling me about last week when we were away. I called him back a couple of days later and left a message for him and haven't heard back. Then I went to the busy Publix - busy area, smaller store but has everything other stores have and more, and smaller parking lot. It wasn't too bad. Sometimes it's so crowded (parking too) that I just want out of there! Anyway, stocked up on a few needed items, including a salad to be dressed up for my own dinner. I'll add spinach and more protein to it, probably tomatoes too. It's iceburg lettuce and it's not very big, but has boiled egg, turkey, feta, bacon bits.

Then I walked ddog in "feels like" 100 degree heat. I really think it's too hot to walk her this time of the day but she expects it so it's hard to say no.

To recap ta das, in the spirit of the day....
-workout
-temple for bills, etc. for cemetery
-grocery store
-walked dog
-groceries put away

LadyM, remembering your last post last night....are ds and gf sexually active? I would have to see them start a family so early too.

I still need to take a shower. I don't want to be up tomorrow a.m. early enough to shower and take the car for servicing. I'll wait awhile, then I can put on my pajamas after. :D

waving to all of you -
mom is particularly upset with only me - I don't know why but it is okay.
I am trying to get her to go in in Sara steady to get her to lay down bc she is leaning to one side- she has been weak all day and doesn't know she is. - there is not a chance - I will try again in 5 minutes.

twins - I would not be surprised if they are s*xually active. They have been dating 6 months. We have had many very frank conversations about waiting and the consequences. GF mom put her on birth control.

Speaking of too young. About 30 miles from us a young fella 17 years old was the #1 pick in MLB this week. He was raised on a farm and the closest town to him was too small to have a school so they combined with another small town a few miles away. Even with the two school combining they were still rated as the smallest class in sport. What are the chances that one of the smallest schools in a rural area has a 17 years old high school student that is the #1 pick in major league baseball? WOW.

My grandpa left home at 15 years old and rode a horse by himself to Mexico border. He tried to join the army there but they wouldn't allow him when they found out he was only 15. So he rode his horse (alone) to the top of Pikes Peak before coming back home.

My grandparents, parents and siblings all got married in their teens. I hope DS16 and GF wait a few more years.

DS16 just video me to see GF driving. They are on country roads, and he is teaching her to drive. This is the first time that she has ever driven.

((Ramblin')), I'm so sorry to hear the sand fleas have been so hard on you. Dd26 is terribly allergic and when her elementary school class waited a while under a large oak tree in a very sandy-soil area, she was bitten so much without knowing. She was out of school for days and I had to take her to doctor. I don't think she's ever encountered them again. But of course, mosquitos are awful for her - big whelps with those.
To recap ta das, in the spirit of the day....

Today I got a checkmark in all my household tracker areas (clean, declutter, laundry, sewing and even garden, which was indoor watering).

A couple phone calls from ddolder today. Otherwise, we've continued our quiet streak.
