Re: Conga line Friday PWYC, let's dance!
Hi, Twins'. I tried to get back and post after an interruption this morning and saw you were already here, being prompt and having your act together.
I'm having to Conga out in the world today.
HRH has been nagging about leaving on time, even though there's every reason not to be frantic about it. While school's out, the traffic isn't bad and the lab will not begin brewing up my injection until a nurse confirms they've seen the whites of my eyes. It does no good to hurry as a patient.
So glad there is no other appt today. We might attempt a grocery on the way home as well, although whether I would actually go inside is doubtful. I've got a good back-of-the-envelope list, though. About a dozen things that would be really helpful to get into the house today rather than waiting until I wouldn't have to be a problem.

Re: Conga line Friday PWYC, let's dance!
Hi!
I was up too early because I was cold. With all the windows open and a fairly good wind, it was really cold compared to recently. I've been puttering around. Trying to tame the paper tiger. Instead I dealt with other things in that room. (library) I need to cull some books. I think the Game of Thrones series can go. It was too long and very boring in some parts. I won't be reading it again the way I re-read other authors. That should free up an entire shelf or most of one. There are at least 8 books looking for a spot, so that should really help. I think I have only gone to the book store 2 or 3 times this year and I still have money on that gift card.
I bought a tray of frozen cabbage rolls yesterday and made the entire thing for supper. I was certain that there was no way we would go through 14 cabbage rolls. This morning there are only 2 left. Dh ate 3 after I went to bed last night.

Re: Conga line Friday PWYC, let's dance!
I have gotten up on time. bs was good.
Did my back yard walk about.
Did some journaling on the deck that was excellent.
Walked saw one deer. no vid. of it behind a fence.
Did a vid. of the drop your leash challenge to see what doggo does...
I knew the results beforehand but wanted that for a vid. later.
bfast happened.
Dd is coming today to do some printing.
I over did it with pruning knitting writing yesterday.
So trying to rest my one hand it's been cramping up & complaining.
Good for a goof off day for me!

Re: Conga line Friday PWYC, let's dance!
I'm ready to dance and jumping in line to join SHE friends.
I've had a smooth start to my day and am willingly following the cards. 32 completed. It frees my mind to think of other things when i know the basics are covered.
I have a heart scan this afternoon (normal routine test) so am gathering my thoughts about what else can be accomplished while in the city. My shopping list is short because most everything that is not fresh, cold or frozen gets ordered online and shipped through the mail.
I have been taking a break from cooking so much. We have been eating sandwiches for one of the daily meals the last couple of days I love to cook so I'm not interested in this break lasting very long,. I might buy 4 or 5 gallons of milk today and some cereal. That would be a change for the teens. DH and I don't eat cereal or drink milk. One gallon of milk doesn't last 24 hours when there isn't cereal involved. I don't know how much more milk will be needed so it will be a guess.

I'm here! Dh has left for lunch out, I need to regroup and focus. Finishing up brunch
-OMM as I conga through today:
First: HOA checks, print and distribute/mail
Too many other things, I've made a list in Excel and "prioritized" somewhat but need more analysis, lol.
What I'd really like to do is to go stamp a bit...or genealogy.
I sent RSVP reminders for dh's party, I think.
I'm so scatterbrained that I left this sitting here. Almost done with checks.

And, Twins', I am so scatterbrained that I left the grocery list at home, but it didn't matter. The appt took even longer than ever before, so with that being extra tiring and what that did to HRH's back, sitting in a waiting room without much respite, we just stopped for a quick takeout and came home. Scalding hot by the time we were freed up, anyway. We'll do something about groceries later.
They had a tech glitch with their computer system being unable to send communication between depts, delaying everyone there. And beyond that, lo and behold, I had to have bloodwork done after all because I had gone beyond the time limit since the last one (7 days) and pharmacy won't create the injection without proof of various things. So, at least 2.5 hours there, almost 3. I wasn't told in advance, so had eaten breakfast. Sigh. Can't read minds, and don't know if they care about blood glucose today anyway, but I wouldn't have eaten if I'd had a suspicion they wanted blood.
Time to regroup around here.

Re: Conga line Friday PWYC, let's dance!
Afternoon CI /
DD was here pruned some lower branches on the tree out front ladder work.
She took some things care package type items for Dgd.
We bathed ddoggo too.
I just pushed the branches off the driveway with the push broom and will work on them in the morning.
Not too big and can break em down to to go in the trailer later & some in the can each week after that.

Re: Conga line Friday PWYC, let's dance!
It's been a good day. I got the checks done (five, printed separately because my printer jams) and processed and dropped off. One is held for mailing next week. I laid down a few minutes but didn't sleep. Dh took a nap in his chair. Later, I did some genealogy work upstairs correlating a man who died 1840 (Rev war soldier, his pension application laid out the places he had lived since his discharge) and his supposed son. I'm getting to the point there's enough evidence to say the two were related. Same places, land grants for both in same counties, marriage for younger man in county the older man lived in, etc. That's satisfying.
I had a walk around the block with dfriend M and R uby, her sweet elderly dog. We hung out on her screened porch (shade!) for awhile and caught up.
Getting our supper underway finally. We tend to eat later in the summer when the days are so long.
