DH is home. He had a very good work trip. He had announced his intention of working on the desk tomorrow, and has even brought his cordless screwdriver up from the garage to charge. I'm glad I moved the tallboy out in his absence, as it does give him more room to work. I need to remind him that I want to take photos of the desk once it's empty and before he takes it apart, so I can list it on Nextdoor (in the free section, as it might be useful to someone, and will save us a trip to the tip).

I'm also glad I got my big gardening jobs done today, as I have a feeling I'm going to be needed during this operation (not to carry things, as I've made it clear he needs A Man to help with that) but to look for things that have gone AWOL , hold things together etc.

Hi All! We had a good trip to Hopkins…. Quick except for the drive. Some concern about whether we can counter the side effects of the meds but one thing at a time. DGD12 is having fun with DD38 and Little Bit and will be back in an hour or two.

L.ann, I ohpe you DD can overcome side effects of meds. It's tough when someone needs a medicine, then needs another medicine to counteract the side effects of the first one. It can cascade to something called polypharmacy, and at some point has to stop.

Why am I tired? It's only 7pm, and I have to go see my mother. But I'm tired, and think I will lie down and rest for half an hour first. She counts on my visits every day. There were a couple fun events at the NH today - she had a manicure, and a community choir came to sing some fun summer songs this afternoon. Someimte I will join a community choir -when I have time in my life to go to practice!
Meanwhile, I have changed clothes and done an additional coat of paint on the window. It can dry overnight, then tomorrow I can turn it over and do the other side, which will face the inside of the room. I will think - do I want it white (creamy) like the walls adn the rest of the window, or do I want to add a little color - light blue? Deep rusty brown - no, too dark. 2 colors of paint I have on hand.

Gma wow that's a lot of work cleaning the window and painting it. I hope it eliminates the bugs. You've been so busy I still don't know how you do it.

Lann I am glad you got to bring dgd with you home and that the appointment trip went well. It's nice for little bit to get to know her cousins.

Kittykat you have been busy rearranging and cleaning. Trying to be an inspiration to me. That desk I want out of the living room is still there. I guess I have accomplished some in the greenhouse and outside. Some productive things and medical care. So I will accept that. Maybe tomorrow.

Busy day at work again. And again short staff. We have no decision making. But minor dilemma. Our newest girl. She's actually really good at her job when she is there. One that I can actually teach. She was pretty irregular at first. Then she got married. A week off for that and was told that she needed to be more regular. She did good for a month. And now she's pregnant. Excited for her but the poor girl is practically 3 months along now and she is having extreme morning sickness. She's barely made a whole day in the past few weeks again. She doesn't have enough hours for leave yet. Except we really can't do much in her circumstances. But be short staff again. And then when someone else is sick too. And then the other girl almost left sick too. Till the office lady showed her frustration to her and she ended up staying. See? You can do it.

Anyway. I have lots to do this weekend. Bedding is first and I should get as much as I can done. Ds26 might bring laundry tomorrow. And decide if we're going to switch the beds. Dd room has a good quality mattress we bought for her. Ours actually needs replacing again but we fixed it with a new gel topper and mattress pad. It's now only used when they come home. So we might swap ours with hers. Forced decision tonight. Last night at bedtime I discovered some kitty decided to throw up on my blanket and almost pillow so I have all the bedding in the wash. A few loads to do. Between ds laundry tomorrow. Will we feel up to it tonight while the bedding is off.
