Sunday ReSet PWYC
I consider Sunday the start of the week. It's also a day for worship for many and a family day. What needs a reset at your house? Your family togetherness meter? Your quota of rest and quietude? Your lists for the week and work ethic?
Whatever it is, take today to hit that big Reset button for a fresh start!

Re: Sunday ReSet PWYC
Have been asked out on a morning date with HRH (fast food, of course, lol - restaurants will be later in the year, maybe). I said "yes" since he's sorta cute. We think we will be back before online worship time. A nice ReSet of doing something fun with him.
Rest quota? better.
family togetherness meter? well, wish we had more visits but grateful kids are productive citizens and all that.

Re: Sunday ReSet PWYC
Hi!
I think I had an almost total reset yesterday. I napped before noon and again later in the afternoon and again after supper!! I also did a lot of reading. I was in bed for the night before 11 and the youngest brat... I mean, cat... woke me up just before 6. She was being loud and I was wide awake at that point, so all 3 of them went outside.
It rained overnight! YAY!! I took the opportunity to burn 6 large bags with burnables in them. Lots of cardboard.
I have done 2 of 3 litterboxes. Bathroom and kitchen garbage is outside. One small load of laundry is done and now it's in the dryer. Dishwasher is going. I also stitched this morning and finished a very hard part that had over 1,500 black stitches. (Part of a mountain range)
We are having BBQed chicken leg quarters for supper. If there is any leftover potato salad, we will have that as well. I've made 4 salads this week and the other 3 are gone already.

Dishes never stop.

Paper never stops.

YES!doing something fun
My day is off to a smooth start with 31 SHE cards completed.
I spent some time in the kitchen this morning and decided it felt so good that it is time to reSet my Kitchen Happening spreadsheet. It has been ignored for the past week or so. The teens have survived by cooking something themselves, pizza, sandwiches, and/or cereal. I did use this time "off" to test a couple new-to-me eating methods to regularly rotate different protein sources and vegetables. SHE cards to the rescue to keep the rotation going. It has only been a week, but I think it is going to be successful.

Some days you and do nothing and still be in hot water.
I had tears in the night and would have stayed in bed ... but ddoggo needed out.
That was at five when I got up.
It's smokey out today not to bad but that bothers me.
So contemplating options for diff. exercise.
Some journaling done.
I have been fighting off the grumblings of feelings will need to do a vent and tear it up page I think.
Not really getting my way but others are not either.
So there is that.
Had my coffee...

((((Nancy))))fighting off the grumblings of feelings
I made a big pot of spaghetti & meat sauce. The family ooooohhhh and aweeeed over how wonderful it was. There was nothing special or different about it. I suspect they are just happy to have home cooked meals again.
My lunch was salmon and green beans. I thought it was tasty as well as being super easy.
DS16 traded a trailer for an iphone last night. He needed my help this morning getting it configured. He is still under parental controls.
47 SHE cards completed.

Re: Sunday ReSet PWYC
Don't think I have actually posted this morning beyond the start. Dh and I went on a computer detour into looking for the home that the dneighbors who moved yesterday bought. The newspaper publishes real estate transactions but we decided that the interesting lot that was reported is probably not theirs. We'll keep an eye out, and it will be doubly interesting to see what their house sold for because it will effect our home value.
I've cleaned up the front porch - "groomed" some plants, got rid of some rocks that got left behind in repotting, watered plants and took of the Ipomoea "filler/spiller. Don't want it going into the ground and rooting. I don't think it would overwinter but I'm being cautious. Also repotted orchid on the kitchen counter. It's survived two or three years and deserved a bigger pot. I hope I don't kill it. Picked some hydrangeas for a vase and arranged.
I might try to slip upstairs and stamp a little. We texted dneighbor (think his wife is still out of town but not sure) to see if he wanted to come for burgers but he hasn't responded. Dh is on the phone with V and A, who got home this morning? Or overnight? So they're coming at 4:30 I think. So I need to make a grocery list for dh.
So very sorry, Nancy. Hoping you can put it in the past and move on.

I need to get busy, then. At least finish a.m. routine and some dailies.

Re: Sunday ReSet PWYC
DH isn't having his best mental day. He decided to disassemble the weed eater.......again. He doesn't remember that he keeps doing this. This is about the 10th time he has done it this year. Thankfully, there is a very kind Stihl repair fella that will put all the pieces back together for us. The fella knows about DH mental challenges and refuses to take any money for helping us (takes him less than 5 minutes to reassemble weed eater). We usually take him a box of sweets from the donut shop to show our appreciation.
I asked DS16 to mow, but the riding lawn mower wouldn't start. I suspect the battery needs to be replaced. DS16 put the battery on the charger to see if it helps. It is 3 years old so most likely I will be buying a battery for it in the near future.
School prep is happening....slowly. I sent DD14 a link to the LL bean backpacks. She looked but wants to continue using the same two backpacks she has used for several years. Those LLB backpacks seem to be indestructible and don't show any failures from the hard use they receive.
Ditto on getting a new water bottle for school. DD14 wants to use the stainless-steel water bottle from last year. I'm not surprised that I can't talk her into something new for this school year since she doesn't like change. I tried.

Such a strange day however had a break through...

I did drop off my offering & got prayer & left.
Stopped by a yard sale and got more items for Dgd to use
during her recovery. basket and ink & rubber stamp, a creamer that goes with my china set.
John Deer cup, a journal, and various other odds & ends just for fun.
Loads of tears cleansing one lots of prayers and good music helped on the way home and after.
Do not feel like heating.
Did up my dishes meat is in the fridge its' done did not feel like eating.
Storm coming in with clouds & rain the next day or two.
A friend of DD is at ER getting an brain scan MRI, sigh DD is with her.
Music & paryer time @ home for church this afternoon.
