Hi Lynlee! I'm a SHE from way back, too, but I just lurked until I jumped into this board. It's dh, myself, ddog & dcat in our household, & with the fur they shed it often feels like I have another pet . Welcome!

Too funny! Same configuration in my home these days Dove, plus dd has returned after college and her dbf seems to be here quite a bit. All of which means more dishes, etc. My dh doesn't shed fur either, but he does worry about losing his hair

Dove I did wonder if the house was wearing the fur, or you from pet hugs.
Jilly I do hope Dh isn't losing hair at the rate of sheading pooches.

I have fish, ddog, 2 guineapigs and for 2 summer months, my neighbours cat to feed. I'm over the halfway mark. Also a humungous back yard.

Lynlee, I am starting again, too! I'm from waaaaay back on the old boards and I remember Peel! but I don't even remember my own "red dress" name from those days, lol. Wish I could find an old archive to jog my memory.

I was determined to get "back in the box" because that was where it all began and worked soooo well for me in the 80's! I spent time and effort rigging a box and 3x5's, and just last night it all fell right in to place......in the form of a Control Journal! LOL! I did not see that coming. But I'm going forward with journal pages. If something 'flows' for my side-tracked mind, then it must be right.

Glad to have company, and to be starting the New Year getting "O"!

Hi Lisa - Your place sounds like the set of a 50's movie. I live down a long grass drive that people don't see. But sometimes I like to be hidden and not easily found.

I haven't been around so long. about 4-5 yrs ago I found different organizing place, then flylady. I did heaps. At some stage I found the old shesorganised board then went to sheforums - Went funny and resentful when I realised not everyone was doing everything they were told by flylady. I have to laugh now. Slowly the habits dropped away til not much was left. Anyway.Trying to reastablish good habits. Calling things different names where the official name has become a problem for me. I did my version of a journal. dabbled with boxes. Had everything on ical on computer til it had a fit from overload and I trashed it by mistake. A lot of my lists are "in there somewhere" Now I have a comprehensive list on stickies. I'll see how it goes.
Actually I find a max of 4 things to do on back of envelope works best. Or Picking up 5 things and dealing with them - but I did that knowing none of the SHE techniques.

Good Morning, Happy Monday 2010!

Lynlee, I have started with my "dailies" list, "basic week plan". I hope to get dinner plans lined up and make grocery list today.

Flylady is very disciplined and I agree with her for the hopelessly sidetracked (like me, back then). But after following routines for awhile, they become habits and you don't really need the same "drilling". At some point, it's nice to be in charge of your own schedule. I'm still sidetracked, but I got lots of experience with getting more organized. I need directions, ideas, helps, but ultimately I need to CUSTOMIZE the routines that fit OUR life, and suits MY brain and tastes.

Love "calling things by different names", lol. It's a mind thing. Envelope lists sounds very productive. I need to get going on my Dailies (morning dawdler......)

Things called by a different name

"Hip Card" Name dubbed by a classic SHE of the daily todo list written on a 3x5 card, and carried around in the back jeans' pocket. I thought it was so clever. Since I wear jeans a lot, I often carry a hip card when I'm out doing errands.
