Re: It's Conga Friday! PWYC
Hi Harriet! Thank you for a fabulous start to our day!
I had a long night. Awful dreams and I was either too hot or too cold. Dh didn't put on the a/c and I woke up to him covering me with a heavy blanket. We hat the windows open and it was humid. This morning I was cold.
I forgot to move the laundry to the dryer last night, so now the dryer is doing it's thing. I have a bunch of clean dishes to put away as well.
On top of that I have 2 very heavy bags of kitty litter that need to come into the house.
I also need to go to Costco because dh needs some new underwear before Tuesday. Long weekends makes Costco crazy. My goodness people, the store will still be there on Tuesday morning.

Dishes never stop.

Re: It's Conga Friday! PWYC
Cathy, that was my night, too, so I certainly feel for you. A terrible dream awakened me early and I realized I was so hot. We are having a hard time regulating the thermostat during this extreme heat wave, maybe? When we are cool, we are too cool, and the thermostat doesn't seem to reflect it. It was fine during the relatively ordinary temps.
My bad dreams are at least a little predictable in that they often revolve around being unable to contact - usually phone problems. Last night's was especially long and drawn out with trying to figure out how to contact HRH and tell him where I was, consistently seeing in the distance a more well-lit, populated area but walking there and finding each successive one dark with only shadowy figures, no phones. Finally, being chased to a bright area only to have it go dim as I approached. Ugh.
Anyway, I just stayed up and got the monthly threads up, which was cheerful activity.
Conga-ing 'round some decluttering today.
Also swish and swipe of the master bathroom.
I never got back yesterday after losing posts while out. One happy TaDa was that I listened/watched a recently recorded lecture and question/answer session with a theological author I admire. It took a long time because I had to keep going back and listening to especially profound bits again, because they were about to go over my head. I've definitely decided to add his most recent book to my wish list and planned reading.
Lauralind, I hope you continue to enjoy a safe northern Alberta trip.

I’m sorry you two had such bad nights, Harriet and Cathy.
I had a short night - about 4 hours sleep.
Made the DPC just now. Apparently all is squared away with tickets.
I’m going back to sleep. I’ll conga later.

Re: It's Conga Friday! PWYC
Definite slump this week after working so hard last week to get porch and all ready for dh's party. This a.m. I have a haircut, then later a pedicure.
Got paid for second lot of cardstock this a.m. so I can take both to UPS store this a.m. Have haircut at 11, need to pick up ice bucket from caterer storefront after, also UPS store and post office for HOA. Pedicure at 1 p.m. and perhaps a stop at Publix for dog poopy bags.
Dh just set up dinner out with friends tomorrow night, and we're going on Sunday not to the river, but to the lake. Other friends have a cottage/boat on the lake and we, with A and V (river friends) are invited there. Weather Sunday does not look promising for a boat ride. Perhaps we'll just hang out...
Dneighbor put in some fruit trees maybe three years ago and they have peaches this year! Delicious! They brought over a dozen, I need to freeze some but they said there's a lot more. I honestly never thought it would bear fruit...Breakfast today is a fresh peach with ricotta cheese and a couple of boiled eggs, quick and easy since I need to be out of the house soon.
So sorry sleep has been disturbed here. I've slept better since I've been off my feet more this week, and since body work/massage earlier in the week. Waving at Nancy and Lucylee!

Coming back through...Hair is cut, my ice bucket retrieved (not my ice bucket actually, but more that looks a little more used but is identical) and I picked up poopy bags at Publix. Next up is pedicure at 1. While I'm out the two packages of cardstock to go UPS and I'll stop at the post office for HOA mail, if any. Maybe even wash the car.

Re: It's Conga Friday! PWYC
Good afternoon, everybody!
I don't have much done yet, but I have a good reason -- two 45-minute round trips and a stop for breakfast. DH wanted to hike a bit more of the Buckeye Trail this morning -- he's made it a little of a summer project; this is the third time he's gone. So I had to drop him off at one point and pick him up at another.
Checked on work twice -- still nothing. Got a load of wash started and took a load out of the dryer for the kids to bring upstairs. Been working on excavating my table in the living room; did not make as much progress on that yesterday as I had hoped. Asked DH to check on his one dividend that gets deposited to our old bank account. I think I finally got the water department to start withdrawing from our new account (though I can't be sure until the end of the month; I got it done the day after they'd taken last month's bill out
), so the deposits are the only thing keeping us from closing that account for good. That's been on my to-do list for quite some time. I think once I get the table cleaned off, I will use it first for folding clothes, and then for working on filing. My file box is full, so first I have to weed out some stuff to either go to the shred box or to long-term storage.
lucylee mentioned missing shade trees last night; I miss my maple out front, too. The elm we planted some years ago has grown faster since it's out of its shade, but it still is only making enough shade for one person to sit in, and it does not reach the house.
DC wants their girlfriend to come over today. I said I needed them (DC, not both) to do a few things for me first -- they're not paying rent, so they need to do something. So off I go to work on the playroom.

Re: It's Conga Friday! PWYC
Nest round of watering done.
Walked / on my walk today heard the tree trimmers so took a stick for them to shred up that I did not want to saw in to.
I had already de-limbed it.
Finished one journal, purged July pages from my planner as I'd already done the monthly review.
Working on the other ring bound one now as I have a new focus.
New book 48 Laws of Power By Robert Greene / getting a section for that.
A Devo. needs a section as well.
Also one for writing.
Got some rain.
I have a sewing planner so that stuff can go in it.
Okay I have purged the ring bound planner and am ready for the new pages and calendar that has been
shipped. Hope it's on time today.
Lunch & s2s happened.
I have been pleased with my planner refills glad for those yea!

Re: It's Conga Friday! PWYC
~~~waving Hello to all~~~~
DH's CPAP mask was finally approved under the new Medicare requirements, so we took a trip to the city to pick it up. Normally, I combine multiple errands when making that drive, but I was eager to finish this task.
I wasn’t in the mood to shop at big stores while in the city, so I decided to pay a little extra for the convenience of our local grocery store. I stopped to get cabbage & celery. It seems impossible to leave the grocery store with only the intended purchase. We also got two types of deli sandwich meat, sliced deli cheese, 3 packages of fried chicken nuggets at deli, a package of roasted chicken, five packages of meat that looked good and were on sale, 5 lb of flour, tallow, and a partridge in a pear tree......
Our temps are in the 80's today. I put on a second shirt because this temp feels cold to me.
Today's extra doings include -
** Cleaning up the north side of the shop. It is so easy to accumulate STUFF and let it sit in an out-of-sight place.
** Using power blower to clear everything off the driveways
** Haul a pickup bed load of STUFF to the city dumpster.
Thank you!got the monthly threads up
