Good evening! A quick peek in before bed. I’m somewhat satisfied with my Saturday. Cleaned out my file box while watching first some Star Trek that DH had put on and then the ballgame. I didn’t transfer anything to long-term storage (I still probably should) but just went through files and weeded them out — ended up with a stack to shred, a stack to recycle, and a stack to trash. At any rate, there is more room in there — perhaps enough to file the stack of papers on my side table.
Rose, whatever do you mean by “married” your storage boxes? Matched boxes with lids? If not that, you’ll have to enlighten me.
Heading to bed now — sweet dreams to all of you!
I've got my country's 500th anniversary to plan, my wedding to arrange, my wife to murder, and Guilder to frame for it; I'm swamped. -- Prince Humperdinck
"Married" = I'm thinking she meant what I mean when I say "consolidated" contents, as in finding that they can fit together and take less space.
I never hear "Bob White?" anymore, which is kinda sad to think about. I understand that the common wisdom (which I've thought made sense, myself) that predators such as coyote are the culprits, is mistaken. It's more that ground birds like quail require large expanses of uninterrupted natural space and just don't have it anymore. Our quail population is down 80 percent from the 1970s.
We worked on recyclables today and when HRH took them out, he just kept on traveling to pick up lunch for us at my favorite Mexican restaurant. While he was gone, his dmother called, thinking she could stop by with her old/now-new flame who could meet us. They decided since they would miss HRH they would try again another day. But she and I chatted for a bit, at least, and I said "hello" to him on speakerphone.
Lunch was delicious, mostly healthy, and I have a chili relleno for tomorrow's lunch, too.
Satisfying day — dgs and I went to see The Naked Gun. (My idea. Dsisil reported on FB that it was very funny. It was. Maybe a little mature for dgs, but he enjoyed it too.)
I also washed ds’s truck. He keeps it parked under trees and it looked so bad I was embarrassed to go to church in it! I did the wash where I sprayed and used the brush. Spent about 30 minutes on.
