Thanks for thoughts!

Cathy - eeewww, starting to put pots/pans away and realizing they're greasy. HRH is careful about a lot, but so clueless about grease, especially the back of pans getting greasy, and the top of stove therefore getting greasy, too. Funny that you didn't think brown grass was growing much, lol. Perhaps turning brown gives a clue that the urgency just isn't there!

Nancy, that's true - brown grass can be neatened up, and there is exercise in the mowing.

Aw, Twins', sorry about long call and ranting.

Mystery, having "time to wash the purple off". lol.

It was true, only 2 appts and although we were early, we were seen early at the second, too, so not a problem. Only part of the test results were back, but I was correct to notice that at least those were all normal. Don't know when all the rest may come in.

About bloodwork today, for the first time since April, I have normal hemoglobin level and NP said she was
"excited" about that. I think this means I'm not classically anemic anymore. White blood cell count above 5 and she was pretty happy about that, too. Again, I think (think) this means I'm less susceptible to every whim of germs and viruses. Still in lockdown until Dr. sees me, though.

Did ya'll know that platelets are our slowest replenishing cells? I'm not sure if NP meant every single type all over the body, but it sounded like that. She said all the ones we humans made 3 days ago are gone now. I didn't know that, but mine - for whatever reason, just as everyone is different - are quite especially slow to recover, keeping me t-i-r-e-d. Have an appt next week, when dr will decide if there's something further she wants to do about getting my count up, or just let me very, very slowly get back to normal by myself.

Yes, happens here too.

I finally received the temple financial statements for the 6/30 year end and have spent some time analyzing them. I think the bookkeeper hasn't had much direction, and she's grown lazy because people don't ask questions. I've asked them not to do anything unless we put in writing in the future. Also asked for a meeting with president (He gave me heck when I was president!) and bookkeeper and treasurer. They could do so much better.

I'm going to go eat something and then stamp a bit. I gave up last night when ddog wouldn't let me.

Dh actually did some weed whacking while I was out today! He also put gas in the riding mower and checked to see how much water was in the cistern. He didn't go to the grocery store.

It's gotten very hot outside again. Glad I did the outside work this morning. I'm going to make a shake 'n' bake pork chop for supper. We will also have green and yellow beans from the garden. I think I will boil some potatoes to go with them.

Tried a recipe that was a glorious FAIL visually, but was still scoffed up completely in one supper, so a philosophical success. No recommendation (or confession?) on that one, better forgotten. HRH said, "Well, you had fun." Possibly. I think a lot of the fun is in pulling something out of the oven that you can recognize as what you thought you were cooking. :|

A pleasant phone conversation with dd26, who thinks she can take me to my long series of appts a week from today. Unfortunately, it will take her away from work all afternoon. Her Dad has an eye appt in the opposite direction.

Another phone call from dbil, who hopes I can attend bday celebration for HRH's uncle and aunt siblings, together, on Sunday afternoon. I just don't know how I can do that but would love to. HRH has ordered his dear aunt a blanket that says, "Shhhh, Aunt recharging", and a pair of silly socks for dear uncle that say, "This is what a Great Uncle looks like".
