Anti Procrastination Wednesday - it's so effective!
Anti procrastination day kicked me into gear last week, can it do the same this week? A chance to mindfully examine what's been "put off" and hop to it!

Productive early morning here.
The laundry load was put in and I started broccoli sprouts and put away dishes.
Maybe the broccoli sprouts are anti-procrastination because it's been a while.
Pie was baked with new experiments of a different edge crimping
and four "leaves" cut out of the extra dough and baked on top for decoration. Pleased with that look.
While it cooled, I folded the laundry and then I brushed butter over the top of the pie crust.
The grocery list is still not complete, but further along. We'll make that order soon.
The remaining trash did not get to the cans after all, but most was already done.
Next up is breakfast. I've only had an apple.
Twins', I hope your day is productive and full of contentment.
lucylee, don't beat yourself up about your quest for organization knowledge. It's a wholesome thing to want to learn.
Contentment and a pleasant day wished for everyone.

Way to go to LucyL being up early!
I have done watering up at 5:30 is was just barely starting to get lite out.
Watered the beds at dawn 74* then & still is now with a slight drizzle.
Air quality is moderate.
I've slept well.
bfast in a bit.
get dressed is omm.
I will say that doing my Anti. P. challenge last month made a difference mostly in doing that daily!
This mo. my challenge is to focus on one positive thing each day and write a sentence on it in my journal.
My mental health assignment is to write about the advantages of my life so far since child hood at least 10 things.
[Gave myself that one.]

and back atcha, Harriet. I noticed your fast start list last night!Contentment and a pleasant day wished for everyone.
I'm loving our cooler weather, but of course, this is a "false fall." It was fifty-six when i got up this a.m. and dh was watching TV on our screened porch! It was cool for me out there but he was enjoying his coffee and TV. I walked ddog three laps - a mile - and caught up with a dneighbor from across the street too.
Oops. Dh is trimming a brisket for me, looks like I'm be braising brisket today in the oven, I wasn't thinking yesterday when we were at the store that I'd need other stuff to add to it for the oven. And large pans to freeze in? And room in the freezer...been warning him about that, lol.

Was hoping for anti procrastionation day, and still hoping I'll get some thing done. I had forgotten about the briskets so need to get that started. Eating breakfast now, then trip to grocery, then zoom at 12:30, then get brisket going in oven. So I'm off to the store right now - the one that's close - hoping I can get everything I need there.

I am finally catching my breath and ready to regroup. I was thinking that for anti procrastination day I'd repaint the bookcase in my office/workroom but then realized there's probably not enough paint. AND I need to tend to brisket as well. Torn between buying more paint or just using what I have to touch up, or maybe not doing anything and loading the bookcase up.
But I'm still sitting here, 45 min after Zoom was done. Need to apply that solvent for the tuchas and move on...
Need to make the bed and finish my hygiene routine and clear/wipe kitchen island.
Then I'll start the brisket in the oven.

Hi!
I had a lot of grocery shopping to do today. I only went to one store, but not my usual destination. UGH! Back to school had the parents and kids out in the stores today! One young girl must have though she was capable of flight like a bird. The "wing" flapping didn't take any other people or things into consideration as she tried to lift off. She knocked into people, she knocked things off shelves.... and her mother totally ignored her. She took off running down a main aisle and she must have been 5 or 6 aisles away when her mother shrieked her name and told her to "Come here!!" The girl didn't stop or slow down or turn around. Her feet never seemed to get any further off the ground no matter how much she tried.
So, because the store was so crowded and it wasn't the location I normally go to, it took a lot longer to find everything I needed. I still didn't get absolutely everything, but we are in much better shape in the pantry today.
Dh went in the opposite direction to a store where he said they had kidneys on sale. He came home with other things, but they didn't have any kidneys left that he could find.

Re: Anti Procrastination Wednesday - it's so effective!
Today has been a pleasant day with few challenges and no drama.
I just wrapped up grading the last homeschool paper of the day. It's always a relief to hit this milestone during school days.
Last night, our lifelong friend Larry stopped by to drop off a container for the pie auction. He ended up staying for over two hours, chatting and catching up on family and friends' happenings.
This morning, our lifelong friend Sammy came by to check on us and stayed for more than an hour.
Both of these cherished friends immediately responded when DH asked about friends or family who passed away years ago. They understand the gaps in DH's memory and answered his questions with genuine respect.
I’m planning to relax for a couple hours this afternoon to gear up for a busy evening. DD14 will be with her classmates working on the float until 5 PM. After that, we’ll take her to the city for a bath and hair care at DD49’s home. Hopefully, we’ll be back home by around 8:00 PM.

Back from errand-ing & walked ddoggo around the block in some delightful rain.
I'd been putting off doing the other direction on the round a bout and did that today.
Did get Rx, did some banking, got some fun stuff for my bday. and food.
Have to say I did enjoy it as the temps. better but humid.
------
Moved the couch & cleaned under it.
I've had dinner.
Gotten the books out of the bookcase move it and then put is back.
Took out the ones that I had read.
Putting back the empty journals and to be ready books.
Happy with more items on my anti. p. task list accomplished yea!
