People (and pets) gotta eat, Bama!
Thank you, Kittykatt. I think that it's a particular joy when interim preachers are good, as you're not sure what you're going to get.
Well done, Jude, on maintaining your weight.
It's hard to watch Freddie in discomfort, but I find arthritis one of the easier things to deal with as I have it myself. I could look at Momentum struggling to get up and know that I had been the same getting up from my chair. And since that never made me want to throw in the towel, I assumed that he was still enjoying his life too. When Job's liver was giving him problems, I could call my db and describe the symptoms and ask what it felt like. It's terrible when we can't tell if they're suffering. I'll bet that Freddie is still loving his life being spoilt by you.
LOL, that sounds like Alexa's usual MO, Bama.
Off to flip laundry.

Re: Three Ring Binder @ TDD - C&C
Bama, thank you for the helpful suggestion. We already have one of those beds, and ... Freddie refuses to use it! ( He is a cat, after all!). When it's colder his favourite spot is a piece of vet bed by the radiator. This evening he decided he was quite capable of getting I to out bed, and could I put the electric blanket on for him, please?
Dogged, thank you so much for the dog/ human comparison , which I think can definitely be extrapolated to cats. I know cats tend to hide the fact they have pain, but I'm 109% sure that if Fred was in a lot more pain than usual he would either be grumpy with us, or he would be hiding away, and he's doing neither of those things. He's holding his tail upright and he made it down the stairs enthusiastically in pursuit of his supper tho evening. I've checked when he first started on the Solensia, and it was the beginning of November 2023, so that's very nearly 2 years of increased quality of life (I'm not sure what that is in "Cat years"). I'll keep an eye on him over the next week or so until his appointment. It will be interesting to see if he improves as the weather improve!

Thinking about tomorrow:
If it's fine:
Garden time!
Walk?
If it's wet:
Can I do another couple of those drawers under the bed?
Or-
Can I spring clean the hall?

That really does sound to me like a cat enjoying his life, Kittykatt. You have a good plan for tomorrow, prepare for all weather.
Germane and I have flipped the laundry. She was a very good girl, waiting until we came back to use her pee pad.
There are things that I would like to be getting on with, but will have rest my back a bit first.

Re: Three Ring Binder @ TDD - C&C
Thursday
Benedryl and treats for Germane
Put away dry dishes
Put on a pot of coffee
Wiped down/put away rice cooker and slow cooker
CUOP
Tried to place the Costco order. Found that they added a $15 surcharge in the payment screen, despite it showing on the screen that it was waived right up until that point. Backed out.
Spent time searching the Costco website and trying different combinations until I had an order that satisfied my discount requirements and avoided the grocery surcharge. Completed the order.
Did something in the kitchen but can’t remember what
Spiffed self
Lost phone. I was using it earlier today, and I haven’t left the apartment.
Asked Alexa to find the phone.
It didn’t ring.
Found phone. It is turned on, volume is at normal setting, it shows that it bounced a call.
Dug in settings and turned the ring tone back on
Put together a bowl of rice and vegetables, with bonus chicken
Went through Giant Tiger flyer, as I am going to have to do grocery shopping for what I actually need.
Sorted dirty laundry
Cleaned up after dog
Refilled planter’s water bottle
Brought Germane to laundry room and started two loads of laundry
Treat for Germane
Rested back, took a pill
Flipped laundry
Cleaned up after dog
Tried to open manual for breadmaker
Installed pdf reader. Have I really not used the breadmaker since reinstalling Windows on the PC?
Hung tshirts
Brought the laundry back
Benedryl and treats for Germane
Put away dry dishes
Put on a pot of coffee
Wiped down/put away rice cooker and slow cooker

Re: Three Ring Binder @ TDD - C&C
It's been a full day and I'm not done yet.
After dinner, I got dd27's room in decent order; thank goodness her closets are pretty empty so I could put many bags and items in them. 3 bags of give aways were produced + a lot went into the garbage/ recycling. Dh helped at the end and then vacuumed the floor. AA came by; she's meeting with dh now to discuss their book, but she first helped dh and me move a bed frame + mattress into dd27's room, so that is done. I went to Walgreens and picked up my script, so that is done too.
Before I can go to bed, I need to:
- payroll: grade final exams
- duolingo
- update health apps
Tomorrow, I'll wipe down the surfaces in dd27's room, make up the 2 beds, make a WF run, and maybe go for a jog. I expect dbro + dniece will arrive somewhat early in the afternoon.
Next:
- update health apps
- duolingo
- message in family thread re: Mom
TaDas!
- up; weighed self
- coffee
- PMs to dd29 -- can she bring the yogurt and pudding to the NH for Mom?
- A order - 2 items
- updated Toodledo
- deleted emails + weather website: high of 65F; might get sun this afternoon
- ordered big baby gift for dgbaby to be
- back exercises
- s2s and self care
- squeegee and wipe down shower
- made bed
- some qt
- payroll: slides for IR D9 made
- payroll: collated and stapled exams
- started working in dd27's room, only about 15 minutes
- 11-1 payroll: taught IR D9
- reading in book for coffee meeting with AC
- phone call from Walgreens
- home around 1:30; ate something; changed into work out clothes
- 2-3 work out with trainer
- finished lunch; changed into nicer clothes
- 4 - 6 coffee with AC
- dinner: lablabi soup, toppings (tuna, harissa, boiled eggs), rice, roasted zucchini
- after dinner clean up
- tidied dd27's room
- dh vacuumed the room
- moved bed frame and mattress into dd27's room
- Walgreen's errand: pick up script
- someone moved the bins back by the driveway

You have gotten a lot done, helia! You will be in good shape for your visitors tomorrow. I hope that the exam grading goes quickly.
I am enjoying a chicken sandwich. Germane is desperate for some chicken, which she must not have. Her usual strategy is to plant herself in my way, very close to me, and stare at me meaningfully. Unfortunately, she doesn't see well and is not as spry as she used to be, and I am not alert, so she is getting clouted in the head by my shin or calf--and then shrieked at because I startle easily. It hasn't deterred her, though.
